I think they make just a few cents a day once they have a prison job so I don't know what that will pay for. I think I heard everything is in probate but eventually, hopefully Shanann's family will get the house equity and life insurance proceeds.

I believe it was asked at the presser,,,,the DA said anything would pay for the funeral expenses. It was hard because I could not hear the questions they were asking, only the answers from the DA.

I just keep thinking what a COWARD. He couldn't even admit, "Yes, I am having an affair and I want a divorce." Why deny it. Move forward. Not like he wanted custody and was going to care if SW didn't let him see his kids.

Interesting that the DA (I think I have a small crush... he's such a steely bad ...with poise and compassion) said that CW did not react to finding out he was having a boy how one might expect. Wonder what the specifics of that was and how they knew. If the DA knew that from texts, or from what SW told friends or family, etc. (I'm guessing she didn't tell many friends since the gender reveal party was supposed to be that next weekend. But the DA mentioning CW's reaction to finding out the baby's gender sounds like a separate thing from the oops we did it again baby announcement video we all saw on social media.

at 15 weeks pregnant they would have only known imo in those last few days maybe a couple weeks at best.

I am confident that shanann would have been so relieved it was a boy knowing chris always wanted a son, likely thinking it would help get him back into her frame.

The DA saw no remorse in CW for any member of his murdered family..
He thought CW was only sorry for himself, for being in this situation.

He did not show any emotion after murdering his family immediately after so I don't think he is capable of that feeling. Just sorry he got caught. Sorry for himself.

First post here. I couldn't read along any longer! With the news brought out today that CW texted a colleague to indicate he'd do the site visit the next day, a new possible scenario came to mind. Maybe his plan all along was to kill SW only. He may have even dug the grave prior to that night. Maybe there is some truth to the idea floating around that Bella woke up and became a witness, so CW "had" to kill her too. That could potentially explain Bella putting up a struggle (can anyone chime in if that makes sense or not?). She was awake. Then, he killed Celeste, who was sleeping and never quite woke up enough to struggle. MOO

Just me, but I don't think he would have killed her via smothering if she had been awake and running around. She was obviously awake, but I think she was a lighter sleeper perhaps and that's why she was alert enough to struggle.

Are they that delusional and callous that they think no one will really care and the news about the missing, pregnant wives won't be everywhere?

I think they're just so used to manipulating and lying and getting away with ut they truly can't imagine anyone not believing them.

And they are so devoid of human emotion they seriously can't foresee how a disappearance like that would become such a big, horrible deal. I guess they just can fathom the grief and fear and desperate efforts of friends and family and LE to find them.

It is possible but to me that is just as heinous, “sorry I have to kill you so I don’t go to jail”. I think what other posters have said though is what happened, it would be much more difficult to explain Shanann taking off and leaving her girls, all 3 had to disappear. Plus he wanted a life unemcunbered by his old one.

I disagree strongly. No father, in my mind, who did NOT plan to murder his children could have carried on as easily and casually as CW did in the aftermath of these murders. Period. IMO
