Now that CW has admitted to murdering his family in cold blood, I wonder what the significance is of that photo of the doll draped in the white sheet laying on the couch.

Was that some kind of Freudian slip on CW's part:eek:?
An omen?
I cannot get it out of my head.
Anyone have any theories about it?

moo
I do. It’s much ado about nothing.

The guy who spoke to the Watts was Wren, the other guy, shaven head and baby face, was Sargent Albert.

:flutter:
(Does he have a ring on? I couldn’t see...)

(ETA: Nevermind don’t answer that please. I had a sudden flashback of when someone here had a crush on 9News reporter KT during Dylan’s case and we got all derailed so never mind.

Agree. Although I also think it’s possible he used a martial arts move called a rear naked choke that quickly cuts off oxygen within seconds and would leave very little time to fight back or cause injuries. If he watched UFC fights he’d be aware of that move. Her hyoid being intact made me think he might not have strangled her from the front. And injuries to her neck fit with that. Just speculation on my part.
Yes I agree as normally the hyoid bone would be broken

I agree. I don't even think there was an emotional conversation that night. He's too sneaky and non-confrontational. I think even if she did try to talk about it, he put her off. "It's too late, just get some rest (or "I'm way too tired right now for that crap), we'll talk tomorrow". Then after she had drifted off as she laid on her left side, he climbed on top of her, pinning her arms under the blankets, and strangled her, primarily grasping her neck on her right side, cutting off the blood flow, which leads to loss of consciousness within seconds. She didn't have a fighting chance.

This is what I was wondering. How was she incapacitated that she couldn't fight back??

I thought his hair looked more gray too. Maybe because it wasn't cut as nice as in the porch interviews. When the camera first zoomed in on him I thought, what the heck is that plastered to the side of his head? Oh... it's a huge patch of gray hair...

He probably has always been grey on the sides.
Now there is no Shan'ann sprucing him up.
MOO.

My heart is heavy. What a tragedy. It’s unfair. I just watched the sentencing video and I’m just in shock. I thought that he had murdered them after he snapped but turns out he planned it! Over another woman!
Like if Shannan wasnt enough for him. Seriously, what a woman Shannan was. What a smart, go-getter, gorgeous and kind woman. Healthy, sweet smart Bella and Cece and baby Nico. When the sentencing startsd I felt bad for him, he looked like crap but it was all because he is embarrased. I just feel like there is no hope in humanity. Humans can be demons. I feel worse than before, I can’t begin to imagine the horror they felt that night and the nightmare that Shannan’s family is going through.

It was so hard to see SW’s family bravely presenting their statements in court today while suffering such unimaginable pain. I kept watching CW to see if their words might be having any impact at all on him but after later hearing the autopsy results and other evidence presented by the DA, I don’t know if he is even capable of feeling remorse. I think SW’s dad described him perfectly when he said he is a heartless and evil monster. I hope he is put in the general population in a prison in Colorado, not NC.

Sgt Ian Albert makes my heart beat faster and he's a good police officer.
What a great team - the DA, LE, they were so professional throughout this.

Haha.... I remember some comments here early on when he gave those very first pressers. He is pretty cute. :D

I think you're right - Occam's Razor.
It was just so creepy to see a doll that was almost corpselike in the house of a family annihilator.

Reporter Question: “This started out out as a Missing Person case...at what point did Chris Watts become a suspect?”

Rourke: “Very, very early on. Many of the things that he was saying just weren’t quite adding up. FPD/CBI/FBI did an amazing job at the outset to begin to focus on him and rightly so.”

“I think it was very clear from the outset that he was responsible for this and frankly was pulling the wool over the eyes of the media, to the extent that anyone in the media believed him, let’s put it that way.”

(-Rourke / PC / Notes)

Insert my own rant:

And yet some people chose to continuously victim bash when it was so all so damn obvious. Miserable, mean people with no empathy. I hope they are all ashamed of themselves. Moo.

-//

Rourke now discussing factors of why this obvious for lack of a better term in my own interpretation, cell phone, keys, etc etc.

1:28:03-1:28:31

It was SO obvious. There was never any other plausible scenario, no “might have”, no “could have”, no “one in a million chance”, no “red flags in her videos”, nothing. Nothing. He killed them all.

He’s just like all the rest.

They always are.

Mr. Watts, your allegation was foiled from the beginning. Shanann did not strangle her children. Autopsy reports PROVE this.

Yeah. In retrospect, anything can seem ominous.

I just never thought it was significant.

Even with these you would think he would've had scratches from her nails or something. I guess it's pointless because he managed it somehow. Poor woman

One thing I still want to hear is the details on the life insurance

Maybe he was wearing long sleeve, protective type clothing. Even a work suit type of thing, from his job, would prevent scratches.

I am so pleased they have the little dog.
This treasure of Shan'ann's, Bella and Cece will certainly be treasured.
The fact there are other doggies to play with, is a bonus for this cutie.

This case will be in all the newspapers.
I am hoping, the wardens just haven't brought these in for CW, or have lost them.
I want CW to be insignificant, that no one cares about him.
His ego was so big, and now he can see he is 'nothing' to society, a mistake, that needs to be put away forever.
MOO.

Important note and question likely covered upstream, will look for it when I go back to read...at 1:28ish to 1;29:94, Rourke is asked a question by a reporter which is inaudible to me (either that or Ivan cross-eared too which is highly likely)

“...I don’t know...will be the subject of some probate precedings, deep breaths, you know off the top of my head I can not remember, I apologize. I don’t remember the answer to that question.”

(Points Next)

-Rourke / PC / Notes

IIRC the reporter asked if there were life insurance policies and the amounts

Shanann loved her children so much. And Bella and CeCe loved her so much too.

Shanann’s family is so incredible. There aren’t even words to express all this, nor their infinite love and loss.

Can’t wait to be done watching this PC, still got a half hour to go.
