After hearing about the fb pictures I finally decided to look for myself. Everyone claimed he was so sullen and withdrawn but there he is cheesing it up in all those pictures. Looks like they traveled all over together. The picture of the doll and the comments seem to suggest the kids did it not CW.

Yes, because it is SUCH a horrible thing to try to hold your family together! (insert sarcastic emoji)

I think the majority of us assumed there was a personal agenda that motivated certain remarks. No one, ever, particularly someone that shares children with someone, should be shamed for trying to save their marriage. Nothing was even filed with the courts yet so she had every reason to believe it could be resolved.

I just finished watching the sentencing (11 hours later). I thought I was prepared, after intermittently scanning the threads in here today.

I was not. I sobbed and sobbed as if SW was my sister, or those babies were mine. Only two other cases have affected me emotionally (both also involving children) but this one even more painful. I feel like a weirdo for being so personally affected by this case; so glad I found WS and I am among others who feel the same.

Still so many questions...although they don't really matter.Thank goodness CW is a stupid criminal.

How about that final sentence from Frank Sr. I love how he incorporated SWs style in this: "Oh, and Shan'ann says she is super excited for justice today."

Really awesome Podcast! Especially the sound bite from CW's Mother..what a piece of work! Butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. She was quite a cold blooded Mama. And the over the top santicimonious religiosity. Pretty obvious that she doesn't have a lot of sympathy for SW or the girls. The unsaid message was that "Poor CW, SW must have done something to cause this". No, she didn't say that, but it was pretty clear. And I agree. CW has a lot of rage against his Mother. Interesting perspective.

The DA is fantastic. Succinct and informative.

This case brought tears to my eyes and I will never understand how Chris could do this to his family. I'm often thinking of it, even if I'm not online (checking WS). It breaks my heart, that this children were never loved by their father (otherwise he could not have done it). Were they loved by his family? I don't know. I breaks my heart, that Shannan tried to do the best out of her life and her marriage, that she stroked her baby bump, not knowing she will never get to know her new baby and the baby will not have one day on this earth. They didn't have any chance - but there was nothing more that they deserved than a life without this monster!

And in the end, I believe that this is the difference between Chris Watts and us. We do care, we would not throw away our family, we could not do this to defenseless little children or pregnant women! He is the weirdo.

The part that broke me down the most today was hearing Bella fought for her life and hearing about the damage incurred by being shoved into the tanks. Even the disclosure of one tank being less full based on the splashing sound just made my blood run cold. How on earth could someone do those things to innocent children just because they didn't want to have to pay for them or care for them any longer?? I realize we'll never wrap our heads around it because we don't suffer from that disorder but still...

She was hateful and I felt like (some) people were bending over backwards because she was an "Insider." She made horrible malicious insinuations about CW's VICTIM and really stoked the flames.
