It appears that Chris initially wanted the baby to “fix their relationship.”

Chris changed his mind, saying that “he just wanted it to be the two girls.”

Amanda suggested that Chris and Shanann go away for the weekend of August 17. Shanann was shocked that Chris agreed.

According to NK, they only went to her house. She was only at his house once for 15 minutes. They went out the Saturday before the murder and he hired a baby sitter. He talked about his kids all the time. At the time of the interview she said she thought he would never do anything to hurt them. Not surprised he told her the baby wasn't his. Imo

Shanann stayed with the Watts family during the first part of her visit to NC.

According to Chris’ father Ronnie, Shanann had a “blowout” with Cindy during week 2.

The argument involved “a disagreement over dealing with the children.”

Shanann took the kids, and went to her parents house. That was the last time that the Watts’ saw them during the 6 week trip.
