He will go to a DOC facility in Denver to be evaluated. Then depending on the results, they will send him to the appropriate prison.Do we know where CW will be serving his time? I just checked VINE and it says in custody at Wells County Jail.

I am very impressed and they have my admiration that they were able to keep quiet as you said, with all the nastiness. I don’t know if I would have had such restraint. That is what I understand.
If I understand correctly, those who knew the truth about Chris’s phone call did not answer publicly until after sentencing was over because they - quite rightly - did not want to do anything to jeopardize the case.
I’ve never been a VI. I have occasionally had “behind the scenes” or private information in other cases before it’s been released publicly or published by media. Sometimes it’s hard to keep quiet when one sees erroneous information being dissected and/or being blown out of all proportion/speculated on, but one HAS to be very careful not to mess up any investigation.

He is too stupid to get a credit card in his own name so his wife won't see his charges for luxurious dinners for 2?
Could be hubris on his part. Has been able to lie his way out of and through everything in life so thought he could do it then too and believed his wife stupid enough to buy it
BBM: This!! It can be hard to understand if you’ve (generic you) never encountered people* like this. They can & will continue to lie & lie and gaslight even when there is stark, irrefutable evidence staring them in the face, or even twist it so it’s not “their fault”.
(* I was married to one & it took me far too long to “see the light”.).
CW and NK purportedly did not start seeing each other until late June, which coincides with about the time SW and the kids went to NC for the summer. So he was able to see her 4-5x a week because he was living by himself that whole time. Everything blew up when SW and the kids returned and he could not continue seeing NK the way he had been when his family was gone. It's terrible to think, but I wonder if things would have played out differently if they had never left for the summer. Maybe it all would have happened anyway, in which case, it's really good they were able to spend that time with her family.I think he was probably being more blatant about his dalliance. Shanann wanted to work on their marriage. CW was over it. Maybe he thought he could push her to the point of throwing in the towel. This may explain something else that I couldn't believe... the NK said they spent time together something like 4-5 days a week! How does a married father of 2 pull that off?
It is so heartbreaking to me that the fact that she wanted them to work on their marriage was likely the catalyst for their deaths.
(NOT victim blaming... I am speaking more to his state of mind. She wouldn't just give it up - he had no choice!)
Yes, but my curiousity to the question was not what happened but whether he described it differently, just as he had described that the girls were strangled when they were not.To me that's not a mystery. He didn't strangle her immediately. He waited for the perfect opportunity, when he was ready. We already know he didn't go into a rage after an argument. That is clear, without a doubt. Imo
Maybe he wanted SW to see. Maybe he wanted to torture her and hurt her and drive her to file for divorce. Sometimes the guilty party in a marriage wants the other party to file fast so they can play the victim and look like they were the innocent one in the marriage.
I don't think he was in half as much fear as the family members who loved him and he murdered.Yes, probably the most uncomfortable moment of his life. He never struck me as a strong, brave, or confident man. He was a coward and he was shaking in his britches. Like a baby. He knows full well what will happen to him in prison. There is no way he was just putting on on a show for sympathy. He doesn't want sympathy, he wants his life back. Or rather his new life that he was so excited about. If he was so bad at acting worried or being concerned during his interview then why would he do so much better in court? His trembling with fear was real, and it's a good thing. If he had been arrogant and emotionless in court than we would have to assume he wasn't bothered by what is going to happen to him. At least we can be assured that he is suffering for his actions. That alone gives some satisfaction. Jmo
Yes the word ultimately has to mean there is information left out. Otherwise it would be he flew into a rage and strangled her. Additional unnecessary words aren't accidental.Yes, but my curiousity to the question was not what happened but whether he described it differently, just as he had described that the girls were strangled when they were not.
I do know people who erase all their texts regularly. I’m going to give NK the benefit of the doubt and send all my hate to CW.There is a lot that DA Rourke didn’t share in the press conference, or have to share. Yet he made a point to let everyone know that NK wiped her phone of photos and texts from Chris before she came into the police station. I bet she did that Monday afternoon or Tuesday. It would only have been a mattter of time before LE contacted her. Rourke didn’t have to say that. He could have simply stayed with she was interviewed, and there were texts and photos. And left it at that. No matter what anyone says, it was a small jab. And what was LE able to get off Chris’s phone? And Shanann’s phone? Who knows.

I agree. I don't want to get into any suppositions about NK as per the rules here, and because she is a collateral victim of CW herself, but in discussing the DA -- that and his statement that she was mostly not completely cooperative (paraphrasing) would lead one to believe that he did not think too highly of her. Also the way he would say CW's "girlfriend" with a spin on that word -- I think the DA is a highly moral man with integrity and the fact that NK wiped her texts did not go over so well with him. My guess is he probably did not describe it, at least not with much detail. He was probably as vague as he could be, as he did not want to admit fault. We will probably never learn the details. But I can pretty much imagine what he did, based on what we know of it being a deliberate and controlled action. I don't even think he came out and said, ok, I did it. I think they just approached him with all the evidence and made it clear that he didn't have a chance, so he reluctantly agreed to the plea deal. ImoYes, but my curiousity to the question was not what happened but whether he described it differently, just as he had described that the girls were strangled when they were not.
