I already knkw the answer to that one! It usually doesn't work out. Too much suspicioun between them...

...'pages and pages of Shanann asking what's wrong please talk to me...'

'Watts searched Google for the distance between the moon and the Earth'

... p 1908

Okay, there is nothing ha ha-funny about that, but when I got to that part I laughed out loud at the absurdity. Not only is CW dumber than a bag of moon rocks, but I'm not sure how he was able to fake being human for so long.

I was a mistress. Not only have we been married for 14 years now and have 3 kids, but we're still friends with the original and we all get along together. It happens. I try to judge each case on an individual basis. And I am judging THIS one very, very heavily.

I agree, I just can’t see a way to intervene or prevent these situations. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try, or stop studying them, but realistically I can’t see it.

My ex fits the profile to a T. Right to the enmeshed mother. We have had no contact with any of them (including the sister) since my daughter was 13 (now 19). He has a wife and 4 young children, I know for a fact he cheats on her. He’s everything Chris Watts and the rest of them. But what on earth can you do about that? Chances are high he will never commit murder for a start, but I have no doubt in the right circumstances he would be capable of it if he wanted to. But it would be impossible to know that beforehand.

I believe we can. After I left my abusive husband, I went back to graduate school and to work in the DV field to do the research on solving this. To protect my children whom the court gave him half custody of because "he only abused the mother, not the kids." I fought for them in court and I couldn't free them from him so now I will fight with advocacy and information to change public perception and the rules that protect abusers. I found out how many people across the county are engaged in research and advocacy to help victims and survivors and their children and it gave me faith! Then this case happened less than 30 minutes from where I live and I saw myself so much in Shanann. I grieve for her and her daughters as if I knew them because in a way I did. They have inspired me even more and given me even more urgency in this fight.

Right now in Colorado, there is a legislator who wants to pass a domestic violence prevention bill in the new year. Perhaps "someone" will approach her with the thought of naming that bill for Shannan and her children. (Shhhh.) Perhaps she has already thought of it herself. There are heroes in the field on every level from academic research to direct client service to our federal lawmakers to DV-specific police detectives fighting the good fight to protect every future Shanann. And with the passion and hard work and research going into that fight, yes, I do believe we can.

The tawdry truth of it all is between the lines of that post polygraph transcript with his dad

The Mascara running down her face - speaking from visual memory

"i did the same thing to fncking her.... those were my kids"

IMO this is clear he murdered the kids first, and that rage was transferred on to SW - because she was to blame for it

... she knew he was cheating and he denied it. Ronnie asked Chris if that was the point SW went off and CW said it was when SW started crying.

I wonder if he used the credit card on Saturday night because he knew it no longer mattered to conceal it
Yes I think he blamed SW....and I think he checked out of his relationship with his daughters too, and didn't want a relationship with his son (or didn't want to face of a potential failed relationship with his son, now that I think about it).

In the doc dump, I noticed he claimed SW criticized him to the girls and they were starting to repeat what she said about him. I do NOT think the girls turned against their father, but that CW was hyper-sensitive about finding fault in SW. Kids say annoying things sometimes, and it's my guess he was angered by the girls and blamed SW.

So...it's my hunch that the girls acted up in their comments and I definitely think they were a handful for him to handle while SW was in AZ....and understandably so! Even if the best of circumstances, coming home from weeks out of town with tension in the family, only to have mom turn around on a trip for the weekend would be hard in ANY family. Traveling and transitions can be hard on little ones. Add on a birthday party that likely wound the girls up.

I think dinner that final night was a complete disaster and it was the straw that broke the camel's back. And it was SW's fault for not being there and it was her fault that when she was there, she was too controlling (in his mind).

When dinner didn't go smoothly, he lost it. He took out his rage on the girls and then finalized it all by taking out his rage on his wife and unborn son. He might have been planning the murders for awhile, I don't know, but I think the murders happening on that particular night were a mix of planning and impulse.

He is so stupid he doesn't know the difference. Some had suggested that but I thought at the time, he couldn't be that stupid and not know they could tell the difference. I guess he didn't Google that one.

Girl, I definitely underestimated the level of intelligence going on in this one. The stupidity apparently runs very, very deep.

Page 2105 - I feel so bad that SW didn't want to leave NC. I wish she had stayed.

Later in their conversation Shanann told Addy, "l told him last night, I don't feel safe with him after what he said about the baby and if he loves me he would hold me and tell me it will be ok. Give me something and he did nothing, but go to bed."

1626 hours: Shanann told Watts, "something else is wrong that you're not saying, because "lack of communication" doesn't cause you to not be present, or touch me, or love me. Besides, the lack of communication hasn't been with me in 6 weeks. This *ucking sucks. I really don't want to leave here."
OMG. If only she had stayed. Why couldn't he have taken that opportunity to say, "maybe you should stay. Maybe it's for the best. I think we should get a divorce." What a wimp. He could have just googled, "How to tell your wife you want a divorce."

What did he say about the baby?

Hi Larry, cool interview. Hey, do inmates in state prisons have access to law library materials? What about federal prisons?

Assuming CW lives a long life, contrary to what you seemed to predict in your interview, what will his life be like in 5 years assuming he keeps on being obedient (to the authorities as is described in the document dump) in prison.

By law, all prisons Federal or State are required to maintain a law library. I highly doubt Watt will be placed in GP (General Population) so his access will be limited.

• 5:27 am - Chris loads their bodies into his truck.
• 45-minute drive from their home to oil tank location
• 6:29 am - Chris arrives to oil site and calls a couple coworkers to check in [make sure they aren't coming to the same site].
...burying his family in oil and dirt...
• 7:40 am - Sent staged text to Shanann's phone, "If you take the kids somewhere, please let me know where they are at!"
• 8:28 am - Chris leaves 3-minute voicemail to realtor.

Then he also called their school and Googled some Metallica lyrics.

10:33 am - He did the search for Aspen hotels. He even called one of the resorts at this time. Checked Groupon. Then he took some lovely photos of sunflowers.

12:17 PM Nickole Utoft & her son set off the garage door alarm and interrupted his precious day.

What Shanann's mom had to say about the Watts family.

@Trinket78 do you have any insight on this?

He talks about dinners w/the kids so much you may be right. It also struck me that SW’s Dad noted he was sterner/less patient w/the kids when he visited them in NC, where there were plenty of caretakers. I don’t think it was just the responsibility, but IMO he started to really resent that they’d scream for their mother when she wasn’t there and had started (in his mind) to show favor to Grandpa over him. Just like he thought his wife ignored him because of her business, his kids were starting to ignore him now. They didn’t appreciate him so they ALL had to go.

That staged text to SW at 7:40am was stupid. Most dads/husbands aren't usually thinking about playdates that their kids and wife might be having during the day, especially as they start their work day on the job. One proof of that is that SW had plans to go to the doctor that day that he didn't ask about! He was not concerned about them! Plus, she likely took the kids on all sorts of outings on any given day - did he ask about them in the mornings after he arrived to work? I bet not.

Obviously he didn't care about any playdate at that point; I'm just pointing out another dumb move on his part.

Maybe about as limited as his intelligence.

I know I said this long ago, but I really think that presentation he did for the communications class was to get a better grasp on what relationships are all about. He would have had to research several sources for that and read a lot about it. In a class designed for giving speeches and presentations, he could have picked any topic, like mechanics or sports. I think that was right at the start of his relationship with Shanann. I think he has been studying normal human behavior all his life. Jmo
