My husband and I have known each other for 15 years. We have definitely had a fight or 10. I've never felt he'd kill me because of one. That isn't an acceptable defense.
That is why I said i would like to know what pushed him over the edge

As if this were not horrifying enough.... this was Shannan’s last FB post. While she was away from home! She did not clarify in comments if human trash husband staged this photo, or if her children did. Undoubtedly he texted this to her?!

* Edited to clarify how photo came to be?!
I saw that FB post was unaware she was away from home when she posted it. Wow, that makes it even creepier. I thought her kids were playing and did it and she walked into the room and saw it. EXTREMELY creepy that her husband sent her this while she wasy away. SICK

Yes, it will be interesting to see what he pleads. It irks me no end when confessed murderers plead not guilty. Will he go for some cockamamie excuse like temporary insanity or diminished capacity? I wouldn’t be surprised.

No, she was home. She didn't leave for her Arizona trip until the 10th. She posted this photo on the 9th.

So did Tyler Tessier, and his attorneys recently, successfully, fought to have those not heard when he appears in court.
Jurors won’t hear alleged confession in Md. teacher’s death | WTOP

You're right NervousNellie, LE is dotting their I's and crossing their T's to make sure they have a solid case to prosecute this monster should he decide to not plead guilty and withdraw his confession. He seems the type that would try to squirrel out of it. The longer he sits in jail and realizes this is his new life, more likely he will try to withdraw it.

Did he lead LE to the body or bodies as part of the confession? Kinda hard to take bit of info back.

Crystal McDowell's husband did the same and he is still going to trial.

They can surprise you. The dad who ate edibles a few years ago and went bezerk on his wife in Denver, she called 911 and was on the phone with them for a long time (this was minutes from police station) and he ended up shooting her while she was on 911, in front of their sons...

He pleaded guilty to avoid a trial for the sake of his sons. I hope CW does likewise.

Thanks for letting me know that. It is comforting to know this was not some sick tease being sent by her whacko husband while she was helpless as she was out of town.

Oh I see insanity coming into this, it won't work, but I see it.
I hope not, but am betting they struck a deal during the confession, death penalty off the table for him to take them to the bodies. Could be wrong, but its happened time and time again. IMHO

And, I was wrong. Shannan was home when she posted this. She likely left for her MLM event the next day in Scottsdale, AZ.

Anyone have a good link for the upcoming Presser?

Wonder what propelled the confession? Obviously LE hadn't found her and the girls . Just sickened by this, he'll lawyer up and it will probably be years before it goes to court.

Finances, an affair, who knows because neither should have made him kill the girls too.

ITA, sealing the case details gives the prosecution an advantage if CW decides to go to trial. The sheriff said they were going to do everything "by the book", and they kept a tight lid on their investigation throughout-all for the integrity of the case. moo

This reminds me ENTIRELY of the Phillip Austin case. I only recently watched an episode of Killer in the Family chronicling his crimes.
Phillip Austin - Wikipedia

What a monster! Don't think I heard of this one. There are so many these days. Used a hammer and a knife on his wife, battered both of their dogs to death, picked up his two children and smothered them. He got 3 life sentences (WHAT A JOKE! That means he has to wait a few years to be eligible for parole. Life DOES NOT mean life over there. Who has three lives anyway). He knew he'd never get the death penalty, and that's the only thing they fear...their own mortality! He killed five living beings (3 family members and 2 little dogs). If these type of family annihilators don't deserve the death penalty, no one does. MOO, JMO

We could all see that his stories weren’t adding up. You can only get caught up ln so many lies before you break.

If he killed the girls before Shannan got home, this will be 100% pure pre-meditated murder, and the insanity plea goes buh bye.

I cannot find a link for the presser, so if someone can post what is said, would appreciate it.
