Steven Douglas Wicks & Ronald Lewis Defond

During the late afternoon of March 8, 1980 a passerby discovered the bodies of 7 year old Ronald Defond and 10 year old Steven Wicks laying side by side in a field near Tower Road. Both Ronald and Steven had been shot to death. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

I’m in the UK and gun crime is rare, but I still think it’s unusual for small children to be shot to death. They’re usually suffocated or strangled. The use of a gun in this case and the way the children were found feels more like an execution and executions are personal. They’re a punishment.
