This was during the Covid lockdown. Maybe the hike to the RV park was an option but then again, could've been a ruse. He was down by the river which may have been a temporary grave, for lack of a better word.

I think it's far more likely that she's on Pahlone Peak somewhere. It's much less hiked/biked/camped than the other mountains in the immediate vicinity and the terrain is nuts even from street view. He's had game cameras up on that mountain for two years, I think he probably knows it really well.

What the what? He had game cameras up there for years? Never heard of that before. You may have something here.
He had game cameras but disabled the ones that secured his home? I'm a bit gobsmacked.

We know he had game cameras and their patch of land had a lot of human encroachment. To really hunt, BM would have gone up the mountain. I believe the mountain belongs to the National Forest Service making it public land. It's pretty common for hunters to put up cameras on public land and just hide them really well.

Oh, I get the why but why then, if he was so adept at surveillance would he leave his home so vulnerable. Not to mention, if a TURKEY or MOUNTAIN LION or DEER or BEAR or CHIPMUNK were to enter his own property, wouldn't he want to know about it? Wouldn't that be monetary lapse of judgement?

More visual aids. I like visual aids. If you want to get a closer look at the terrain, there are many, many, hiking and biking videos on YouTube which also demonstrate the popularity of these trails in the warmer months. The property is surrounded by random outsiders passing by all day long.

His pants were on fire the whole time he spoke to the FBI. Not enough fire extinguishers in the world.

IMO, he was more worried about people who might be on his property than anything else.

How did you hear this or find this out? This is the first i've read that and that is more than interesting. I'm with @marylamby.. What the what? Could you remind us with a link to the source?

On second thought, and I hope I'm wrong, I'm thinking that @sk716 might be talking about the the cameras Barry put up when his brother-in-law was searching for his wife. You know, the search for which he not only had no part of (WTF) but actually had his 'friends' and himself armed and dangerous around his property.
Then again, @sk716 may remember something I don't. It's been a long time now.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, @sk716

That I do remember, which is mind bending considering he did not have any (with the exception of the garage) at the home that were operational. @sk716 I felt like you had some knowledge of other cameras that we have not discussed. True?

I remember early discussion of game cameras and cannot recall an original source, I may be conflating a rumor with something AM said. I also recall a deer corn rumor, which added to my hunting theories. He would still have to do any serious hunting up the mountain as hikers/bikers would spook most big game away from the house.

I share that 'hair-brained idea' and am not so sure I'm 'side-eyeing' it just yet. Everything feels 'off' and granted, it should.
One does start to doubt everything when lies abound but in the case of Suzanne's phone? My hinky meter was off the charts. I think he was texting from both phones to each other AND to JL. I'm not 100% solid but I somehow can't help thinking it's possible.
IMO
It is plausible, if not likely. He had to deal with the alarm and suspicion that is created when her phone went dark...which it obviously did. How to smooth that out? LE knows how many contacts to Suzanne's phone happened after 2:30 pm on Saturday...then throughout the next day. There is simply no way for Barry to explain her dark phone while he was there with her; and while his was on airplane mode.

Those volunteer searches done by Barry's friends interest me. I have little doubt that they were loyal friends, full of comraderie. But...those guys aren't Barry. There must have been a lightbulb moment for each of them. I would think that they are basically law abiding, family types. What did they really tell LE?

I’m astonished that Barry was able to hide Suzanne’s body without detection. Between GPS, cameras, and cell phones, I thought there would be more precise data at the PH. I don’t need blood. There is no other reasonable explanation as to why Suzanne is gone, given the information presented. But I still want Barry’s butt to be more clearly in the crosshairs.
I think the absence of evidence is evidence in this case. Things that should exist, and don't are not accidental. Suzanne's phone going dark as soon as Barry arrived home, and continuing throughout the evening and night, while he is "with her" should not exist. Barry will not take the stand. But, how much questioning about this dark period did LE get Barry to talk about? How many calls were made to Suzanne, and went unanswered? Was Barry's phone active during times it wasn't on airplane mode? Then, why his phone but not hers? Why did Barry sit in the hotel room for 4 and a half hours after moving the work project up a full 24 hours to "get it ready" after working 11 minutes? Again, he's in the room with no activity when there should be activity to support the expedited work project. The prosecution willl need to school the jury that the absence of evidence is evidence, when things should exist and don't.

Is this the peak where Barry was laying on the ground? That is certainly an event demanding evaluation.

I've always thought the area where BM did his great dramatic swan dive merited more attention.

I've also thought he may have had a plan for the hike that was suggested.

Doesn't a good hunter always have a Plan B?

If I recall the public searchers were instructed not to trespass on Barry's land but they were up in the hills all around and were encroaching although I'm not certain anyone actually crossed the property lines. And I do recall there was some reports that he had trail cams along his property lines and there was a baricade on the driveway with a No Trespassing sign. Then at some point in the afternoon Barry agreed to let Andy and a few others search his actual property and Andy called all the public search groups back and told them they were free to go, that the search was done. There have been LE initiated searches of the actual acreage that belonged to the Puma Path home as well as LE initiated searches of the waterways, I personally also don't think she is on that property.

I obviously missed this along the way -- where exactly is this hiking/biking trail relative to Puma Path and the Ritter's home?

When I looked on google maps for the Colorado Trail, I see it heading north from the trailhead at hwy 50, but I don't see the route on the south side of the highway.

Also, sk716, are you assuming he must have put game cameras up the mountain or have you actually read MSM or LE reports that they exist?

If you read it, please share a link.

If you are assuming them, it's essential to add a MOO/IMO/JMO opinion statement to your posts so it is clear to readers which you mean. (it's also required by TOS)

Thank you for clarifying!
