I really want to know about his clothes from Broomfield.
Me too because my opinion has been that those are what the bleach was used on. Bleaching tools never made sense to me, but bleaching clothes that he wore while disposing of evidence makes sense to me because he could be worried that he transferred DNA or something onto his clothes as he made his trash runs. Unfortunately, I'm not optimistic we are going to ever find out anything because this judge really makes me nervous. He is supposed to lean towards the prosecution during the PH, but from everything I have seen, he has leaned hard toward the defense side. I hope I am wrong and Suzanne will receive justice, but I'm bracing myself for it going the other way. If he does bind BM over, hopefully we will see the AA today or sometime in the next 7 days.

I really don't think he will get bail. It's not necessarily right or good, but trial judges do take into consideration the likelihood that they will be overruled. I think most judges would sleep soundly denying bail to someone accused of something as serious as murder.

Your run of the mill street violence murderers aren't getting bail. If anything I think a judge would err on the side of being careful to not treat a rich, white, upper-class defendant any differently than they'd treat a gang murderer. Which is definitely a new and positive development for the whole system.
This is the reassurance that we need!

We all originally thought he was washing his tools in the bathtub in chlorine bleach because he had used them for nefarious purposes. After the prelim, we know the tools were never brought to the room. Maybe he was washing all his clothes to get rid of that pesky forensic evidence that was on them. And then he dumped them? Or brought them home smelling clean and fresh in his dirty truck.

Are we sure he didn't carry any tools to the room? What was he washing with chlorine that soaked the bathroom and towels?

Some people are pretty positive he will get bail today.... I can't imagine! :(

Oh dear God, please do not release this monster out on bail:( Nothing good will come of BM being released. Many people will fear for their safety...JMOO

My guess has always been he used it to shower with. Hoping to God to get any DNA off himself. M o o

Agreed, I think the Judge did give a lot of leeway to the Defense, but the defense ran the clock down IMO questioning the State's witnesses and even calling their own.

I think it was just their tactic to question everything and make the State's witnesses look like they hadn't done their job and to smear Suzanne's reputation also.

Thanks :)
I'm not exactly sure how you run a clock down if you are only alloted 50% of the time....defense did their job. I'm not sure what people expected.

His bod and his clothes? We don’t know for sure that he didn’t wash any tools in the room, but around 6:00 pm he is caught on hotel video making three trips from his truck to the hotel lobby bringing in hand tools. He asked the staff if he could leave them for his workers. My thought on this is that he didn’t bring the Bobcat to Broomfield for his workers to use on the wall repair job so he figured he better leave something to make it look like he left equipment for them. Even MG said they weren’t the right tools for the job and it looked like BM just threw all the tools from the back of his truck there.

I’m in Salida ahead of this hearing. We’ll learn if the judge decides this case will go to trial or not.

I’m wondering if Judge Murphy is going to give a bit of a scolding to the prosecution. I don’t know why but I feel it coming. Do you all think it will be Eytan doing the close, or will it be Nielsen? Not sure which style is better for closing argument, or if it even matters at this stage.
Scoldings aren't a go-to for this judge - he's known for his low key professional demeanor and we saw that when the discovery/sanctions issue was argued by the defense. I expect a well-reasoned opinion, calmly delivered. He may listen to the arguments, recess to be sure his written opinion addresses them, then issue both the written decision and the redacted AA by the end of the day. But I hope he rules with a summary from the bench, and issues the written decision and the AA shortly after the hearing.

Can't say who will argue for the defense. "Hurricane Iris" Eytan is the firebrand, Neilsen the calm persuader. Fiery rhetoric may satisfy BM's emotional needs, but it doesn't seem to have worked in the discovery argument. My guess is that E&N know they are unlikely to succeed in knocking out the murder charge and freeing their client, so they'll stick with fiery rhetoric to keep their client happy to be "aggressively" represented.

So do I. On a Friday evening the time usually flies by,but waiting for 1:30 (8:30 U.K time) the time is passing very slowly. At least it is time to open the wine .

His first stop was at the bike scene.
So how did he know where the bike scene was?
He put it there himself.
Or GI George told him even though he knew where it was. His dumb act hasn't gotten him very far at all.

Thanks, @Tiff23fr. Yes, there was help from many. Would not want to try and list them for fear of leaving someone out.
It takes a village to write a timeline. :)
Excellent job, @OldCop! Excellent job!
