You are cleaning the valuable laces and are disposing the new pink nikes into trash bins, miles away from your home? That's suspect. :p
Haha no, didn’t even take them out they never lace up right the second time around

TS is Troy Skinner, a childhood friend of BM from Indiana.
If you go to approx. 21:42 mark in PE video, TS asks a question of Scott about what he thinks are possible outcomes of the Morphew hearing on Friday.

I believe TS is the same BM friend who said in MSM early on, something to the effect paraphrased, “if Barry Morphew is guilty of killing his wife, I will lose all faith in humanity”. I will say this is MOO as I can’t find the link atm where BM friend said the above early on in the case.

ETA - clarity
Is he the same guy who went hunting/camped out in CO with BM one time and BM was reading from the bible - and said how their lives was like 'little house on the prairie'? It all seems so very long ago. I should've written a book yet unfinished. I bet someone has/is.

It's difficult to speculate on what the daughters think or thought or really much outside of what was given as the case at the preliminary by the prosecution as we have only what the prosecution has disclosed to work with in terms of "a case". Parents arguing about finances etc. is not abnormal and in my opinion kids are aware of things like that. I think we do understand the "state" of their marriage and Suzanne's mindset about leaving the marriage. Barry has been very guarded through his texts and conversations that are now public however in my opinion. I think there will be lots to discuss if this moves forward to trial as it will give the prosecution time to tighten up the weaknesses that are apparent from the preliminary. We shall know by week's end.
What weaknesses? The preliminary wasn't a trial.
The trial will be the time for prosecution to strengthen up the facts, timeline and evidence. It's the defense who are going to have to scramble to try to confuse the jury with more arbitrary nonsense. It'll be up to the Judge to sift (and eyeroll) through their bull and overrule their objections.

Judge in Barry Morphew case expected to announce critical decision Friday

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. — A Chaffee County judge will make a ruling on Friday whether a man accused of killing his wife will go to trial or be let out of jail on bond.

53-year-old Barry Morphew faces five felony charges including first-degree murder for the death of his wife Suzanne. He is currently being held without bond in the Chaffee County Jail.

Suzanne Morphew, 49, was reported missing over Mother’s Day weekend in 2020. During a press conference in May 2021, Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze said that although no body has been recovered, his “belief is that Suzanne is not alive at this time.”

Before Judge Patrick Murphy will make a ruling, both the defense and prosecution will have a chance to give closing arguments. Judge Murphy is also expected to make a decision on whether or not the 130-page arrest affidavit will be unsealed. Morphew is expected to be in court at 1:30 p.m.

Yikes---This decision day is finally here. Big day.

Interesting about the closing arguments from both sides before the judge's decision. I have to believe the judge has his notes already written and ready to go before he climbs into his robe tomorrow. What are the chances either of the closing arguments alter his decision?

The Durst trial is on verdict watch still and the jury comes back in for 2nd day of deliberations tomorrow morning. I am hoping we hear 'Guilty' verdict on Durst and then Full Speed Ahead on Morphew.

Part 3

Morphew Sunday 5/10/20
...

ETU BM goes to wall, puts truck in “park”, door opens and closes. He works 11-15 minutes, removed blocks/stone from wall.

12:06 pm BM calls MM1

12:27 pm BM throws away 2 bags, with camo coat, tree container, (tranquilizer material?), in dumpster at HIE. He walks across lot rather than parking near dumpster. BM walks back to hotel with hands in pocket and head down. Trash Dump #5

12:42-5:55 pm BM in room at HIE. Was in room when JR called at 5:15 pm

...

By that time, Barry was antsy. Why hadn't she been discovered missing yet? He's been futzing around Broomfield for hours. So he calls MM1 to push her to call Suzanne and wish her a Happy Mother's Day so she can discover that her mother is missing.

This is one of those ISTG moments, you know. It was bad enough that he set it up that the girls would come home from camping and discover mom missing, but since MM1 didn't act according to his timeline he PROMPTED her. It still took them a couple of hours to call after his prompt. How can one pull off the perfect murder when ones kids refuse to cooperate?!?

ETA: Don't want anyone to think I'm attacking the girls, I remember being that age and pulling away from mom and rebelling a little, which is usually just things like passive-aggressively waiting until late-afternoon to call. I know the teen years are nuts with girls, but having been one and raised one, the early 20s are so much more fraught with drama. As a teen it's "why are you crying?!" early 20's is more "why are you so self-destructive!?!"

Doesn’t appear that way unfortunately. Same deal as the prelim, with reporters live tweeting.

Thanks MassGuy! At least we'll have tweets. Hopefully someone will release some type of transcript of the ruling.

I want to hear three things:

Case bound over to trial

Barry held without bond

AA released today

I will be especially annoyed if he’s home tomorrow night grilling his peanut butter. I think the odds are against that, but I see this judge as a bit of a wildcard.

Part 4

Monday 5/11/20

1:06 AM BM interviewed and he was free to leave thereafter. BM reportedly stated that “I want to help out any way I can”. BM told LE he and SM had a nice day together, had sex, and ate dinner. (1 plate found by LE).

1:21 am BM calls SM, no answer

ETU BM’s F350 was seized and searched

ETU SM’s RR was searched. Purse, wallet, camelback, and 2 bottle of hot tub chemicals were found inside vehicle.

ETU PP home sealed.

ETU search suspended until daylight

ETU Early am, search resumed, over 100 LE, SARS, Canine, Divers. Chaffee County FF’s not allowed to participate

ETU am SM has medical appt. re: cancer. She never showed up.

ETU am JL texts SM to wish her good luck at med appt. No response.

7:30 am BM calls MG crying. Tells her SM was abducted or a mountain lion got her. Then talks about Broomfield job.

ETU Search Warrant obtained

ETU 5\11\20 to 5/15/20 Puma Path house and grounds search.

ETU Concrete slab pour at Salida job site

ETU Evening. AM arrives in CO, meets with BM and friends to form search teams

Tuesday, May 12, 2020

ETU AM, BM on 2 different search teams. They may only search areas already searched by LE.

ETU MG, JP, AND CC return from Broomfield after receiving no tools or materials to complete the wall repair job.

ETU GD and TN approach MG and tell her if BM pays her for her time in Broomfield it will look like “hush hush” money. They remind her she has rights and she doesn’t have to turn her phone over to LE. MG tells GD and TN that she is cooperating with LE and has given them her phone.

8:00 pm BM is seen by an employee going through the trash outside the closed Poncha Market. When he is approached, he says he is looking for a bike helmet. A few minutes later he knocks on the door and explains that his wife is missing. Employees ask for a description and he writes on a piece of scrap paper: baby blue bike helmet and biking clothes. He gives no description of SM.

Thursday, May 14, 2020

SM’s helmet found approximately ½ mile west of the intersection of US50 and County Rd 225 by a search team.. It was on the EB side of US50 approximately 10 feet off the roadway.

Friday, May 15, 2020

US50 is closed between CR 225 and Monarch Pass to allow for a search by LE and SARS teams. No further evidence was found relating to SM’s disappearance.
Thank you both so much for this, so helpful.
