I know this is how they do it in Colorado but it seems a little off procedurally that this judge will then go ahead and preside over the trial after making his opinions known.

Well...the defense knows just what they have to refute. But can they? He needs to plea out. Unless that opportunity has passed.

What this judge says about their loving mother should be a wake-up call to his daughters. Love your father if you must but love truth more. Your mother deserved to have the joys of her middle and old age. Doubly so as a cancer survivor.
