Was there snow cover at this location on May 9, 2020?

That’s a pretty ginormous area. I hope they can pinpoint it.

Doubt BM can afford another lawyer!
IANAL but I think all the hard work has been done. All that research and case prep is ready, all IE needs to wait for is to have charges filed.

There was a bobcat at the beach site. He was there Saturday night about 11:30. He woke the lady up that lived closeby because she heard machinery running. When she turned the outside light on the noise stopped. What was he doing there at that hour of the night and what was the machinery noise?

YES !!
I understand completely the discussions of the areas where the mines are and especially the "Elk chasing" incident for being possible places where Suzanne might be.
However, I cannot and have not been able to get this spot out of my head.

Whatever could be going on there late Saturday night, after, IMO Suzanne was already darted and killed ??

MOO if there was more evidence to be used at trial, it would have had to be in the discovery.

I thought he was there Friday night, not Saturday night but it could be both.

Is this article correct?

“Barry had worked on the beach site Friday evening,” Gentile said. “Saturday, he had asked me to clean it up and rake it out, because we were going to bring it out to level – so it would be a beach sand and not muck.”

That area, a construction site off County Road 105, east of Salida, is the same area where investigators spent three days searching for Suzanne, just a week later, on May 21-23.

“He was acting really weird about [the beach area], I was like Barry what’s up,” Gentile said. “He seemed stressed. He definitely seemed weird on Saturday.”

And, although Gentile had agreed to work in that area for the day, she said Barry dismissed her from the job early – at 11 a.m.

my notes from AA
On May 22, 2020 at approximately 9:05 AM, pursuant to the issuance of a search warrant, search teams along with K-9s and K-9 handlers (Blood Hound Man Trackers, NecroSearch) searched the property at 6962 County Road (CR) 105, a site where Barry had been conducting earth work since April 2020. A local resident had reported heavy machinery being used late at night on Saturday, May 9, 2020

He was there both nights. Friday he was working, but Saturday night and then Suzanne goes missing on Sunday? No.

"Mary Branson lives next door to a home being built by Suzanne's husband, Barry Morphew, and says she shot out of bed when she heard a strange sound coming from the construction site late on May 9."

Thanks for posting the link !!

This is what I cannot get out of my head.

I know LE searched and to our knowledge, did not find anything, BUT... it was right after the time, IMO, Suzanne was killed.

If he didn't put her body there, WTH did he do there ???

And if he was already working that site, he may have not needed the Bobcat... the a loud noise could have been his truck, like MG said, it is loud and distinctive sound.

He could have had a spot there already dug out, JMO

Just speculating, but I can't let that time frame go

Thanks for the citation. Because he was there both nights & especially on the night he was disposing of her body, I am wondering what telematics they have related to his truck being near that site Saturday night and what time, as well.

It has to be related to the crime in some way because I really can't seem him going there after committing murder for any other reason. Covering his tracks, preparing evidence for disposal or actually disposing of it and solidifying his alibi had to be his main motivations in the critical time frame before he leaves for Broomfield.

Did he meet someone there that night? I wonder if video on the highway captured his truck that night?

What was so important that he had to leave Puma Path to go to a job site when he was busy covering his murderous Bare-cat tracks?

MOO

One thing I'm stuck on though is if there is 5 feet now, then was there 5 feet in May 2020? I did see some weather history data that shows Spring of 2020 as having less snow than usual, but less doesn't mean none. How did he get her buried in even say 2 or 3 feet of snow? Did he move her later or have a hole dug way prior, or did he not bury her like I am thinking by digging a big hole. So many questions.
Right.... which makes me still think she is closer to PP but I really hope LE does have a location they feel confident enough to search and she is found !!

I thought for sure she was buried under the cement that was poured. I wonder why LE didn't tear up the entire cement pad instead of a small piece. They also sifted the dirt. What were they looking for...a sim card perhaps? We'll never know. Suzanne was dead for sure at that hour. Where did he put her?

He could have planned to bury her there, but changed his mind. I don't thnk we'll ever know what he was doing there on Saturday night.

Wow and :eek::

I have sometimes wondered if BM placed Suzanne somewhere hidden but in the open hoping that a mountain lion would find her,but when that did not happen went to plan B.

Maybe he came to see his sanctions as too severe.
In the end Barry M. got justice, not to have evidence aganst him hidden, at the expense of justice for Suzanne M.

I can think of no logical reason that Bare would be at the beach location at 11:30pm on Saturday ..... other than some reason that is related to disposing of the body. The cadaver dogs hit in that area. I think the porch light scared him away and Suzanne was moved to an alternate location. If that is the case, under the circumstances, most likely the body was transferred to a nearby location and not to a more remote of distant location such as a mine. Excavation is difficult at higher elevations due to very rocky soil. The lower valley areas have much more soil depth with significantly fewer rocks. The 2022 winter deposited much higher than normal snow levels which resulted in higher snow pack, including some of the relatively "lower foothill" elevations.

where is @sk716

I have some questions about the Telematics and she is resident expert. Is anyone in touch with her?
I have been very concerned about her since I noticed she hasnt been posting and the wonderful set of documents she put together is now no longer available :(
