Are the girls really so tanned as it appears in the video? Or was it just the lighting?

Pretty routine for landscaping to occur on Sundays here. In fact I had my palm trees trimmed this past Sunday morning.
Bloomfield had regulations for not doing that type of work on Sundays. The job was also scheduled last minute with one worker BM had never used before who happened to also be an ex-con, who BM specifically asked for. An amazing coincidence, imo. This info is buried here somewhere, too time-consuming to dig for a link, so I will say MOO.

No doubt in my mind either.

You know... you just have to wonder if the man feels any guilt at all, not only for what he did to Suzanne, but the massive lie his girls (and probably his family) believe, and how devastated they'll be when the truth of his actions finally does come out. Or, is it possible he's crossed that line and he's already convinced himself he's innocent?
Keep in mind these daughters lived with and experienced their parents' relationship. The younger one even expressed "fear" that they had a big fight....implying that it had happened before. They knew that there were serious problems in the marriage, imo...based upon their comments. I have no doubt that the daughters understand what likely happened. They have been groomed to rationalize by a rationalizer....to almost quote Barry "their whole life". Blood is thicker than water. There isn't going to be some moment of revelation.....because it isn't necessary.

Not routine in here in Colorado. Also, he didn't work on landscaping. He went on 5 trash runs and slept in the hotel room for 6 hours to portray a fake alibi for the wrong day.

IMO, he'd already crossed that line long ago and he has not so much convinced himself he's innocent, as acquitted himself - under Barry authority - of committing any crime worthy of public attention or punishment.

What about State authority? Well, BM has little respect for that. In BM's mind, only suckers play by those rigged rules. Thus the paying workers under the table and providing no common worker protections (unemployment insurance, worker's comp, employer share of payroll taxes). Same with voting SM's ballot. Same with tranquilizing deer and sawing off their antlers. Who knows what else?

SM committed to marriage to him and she wanted out, with her share of marital assets. That was enough disobedience against his authority for him to justify his ending her life. End of story in Barry-world.
Barry's voting for Suzanne is a classic representation of his true belief system and feelings for Suzanne, wrapped up in one. By voting for her, he took ownership of her life and demonstrated a clear lack of respect for her person-hood, and individual rights and identity. This single act personifies Barry as a person and his relationship with Suzanne, again "their whole life".

IDK JMO that Grusing was patiently waiting for information from his interviewee which may or may not have been related to BM's murder of Suzanne. I still think Bury was involved in other crimes and may have made his "living" in such a way. ''If I open up my life to you". MOO I also suspect Bury had some kind of substance abuse issue. MOO
To compound matters even further for BM, imo, the thought of Suzanne consulting with a divorce lawyer terrified BM. Discovery by her attorney would have been brutal...uncovering all of his secrets and shady dealings. He could not allow that to happen.

MG said the job was planned but he moved his schedule up I thought. They were going to originally share a ride.

On a Sunday? For a deeply religious man? He must have got time and a half.

They're women . Adults.

And how did he know she wouldn't be voting herself since she possibly just "ran away".

The simple answer IMO is that Barry inserted the detail that Suzanne went for a morning bike ride, pinpointing his staged time-gone-missing.

Because, you're right, half the group should've waited for Suzanne to return from her (imaginary) bike ride and the other half should've headed directly to the trails where she normally rode.

It's only due to bad staging that her unridden bike would be found within walking/carrying distance of PP, in a location Suzanne would never have biked, put there at a time she never would've biked and then storytold ineffectively by Barry.

Everyone else was trying to make sense of Suzanne's unexplained, inconsistent absence, confident she could be located.

Except Barry.

The only consistency in all of this, IMO, is that even with all of Iris' coaching, Barry is still a bad actor.

And by 'bad', I mean 'abysmal'.

JMO
That is why I asked what time the Oliver wedding was. If the wedding was to take place during the time that Suzanne usually went for a ride, then she may have switched her ride to the morning (or a different time).

I guess, until there is a trial, we may never find out.

On a "Mother's Day Sunday" at that. A "religious" man with two daughters born to his twice-cancer-surviving wife. And lets not forget, he didn't bother to "wake her up" before leaving to say "Happy Mother's Day". Nothing to see here, folks.

This wasn't a hardscaping job in someone's private yard. It was a public job -- for either the city, or maybe the county (road dept?), so those encoded work restrictions apply regardless of Barry's personal preferences. MOO

Additionally, he just spent a perfect night with his angel. Maybe make her a nice mother's day breakfast?

Simple case. Unfortunately complicated with terrible detective work, LE failures, and incompetent DA. The killer is out there!

Barry probably rolled out all his tricks to charm IE, and it worked, JMO. SD won't be happy.
I’m quite alright with SD being unhappy. I’m still of the opinion that she and the Bare met before Suzanne disappeared. Maybe not long before, but before. Her putting herself forward as a witness to a “strange” vehicle in the area rubs me the wrong way. Actually, her ex becoming a witness for the same reason is also very odd, imo.

Considering the type of men IE and DN like to represent, I have to wonder if they are women that hate women. You know, women that would believe Suzanne “got what she deserved.” It’s a sickening thought but how else could you justify to yourself, kissing ”that man” in public? IE knows he did it, she has all the evidence the prosecution does. Much more than we know, and yet…… .

All moo.

Remember he got this job as a subcontractor. He probably just did what he wanted.

"Lauren Scharf, a F0x 21 News reporter who has shared some of her reporting independently on her YouTube channel, revealed in a new video report on Thursday that Barry Morphew was contracted for the Broomfield job by a company based in Indiana, where he and Suzanne lived until 2018. Scharf said in her report that a general contracting company, Garrett Construction LLC, outsourced the job to E. A. Outdoor Services, LCC. That company then hired Morphew, who appears to have been working as an independent contractor since moving to Colorado, where he also works as a volunteer firefighter."

I don't think it is so simple because circumstantial cases by their nature are not simple. But I do agree terrible police work and incompetent DA.

LS is probably not real high on their potential "friend" list but to think they hate women is abit of a stretchy stretch. I had boys in college when the Title nine stuff was hitting the fan and I made sure they all had our family lawyers name and phone number in their cell phones. Thankfully they all graduated unscathed. To defend men accused doesn't mean you have to hate women to be good at what you do. Do people think male lawyers hate men? I don't think so. Women seem to be tougher on other women unfortunately in my opinion.

This wasn't residential landscaping work.

LS reported after she visited there and checked with appropriate authorities, Broomfield does not permit land-related work on road projects on Sundays and neither BM nor the subcontractor who contracted with BM sought any kind of waiver or special permit.
