If convicted of his current felony charges-- it's not likely the first-time offender of a non-violent felony would be sentenced to time but if these felony convictions make him a prohibited person to own/possess weapons/ammo, I don't doubt BM will sometime sooner than later face being charged as a Felon in Possession of a Firearm pursuant 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)- and subject to the relative Guideline Range (avg sentence per count 59-64 months) in federal DOC.

In my experience, the Feds don't mess around with this charge -- if you forfeit your right to possess a weapon by committing a felony, you're done polishing your holster. MOO

If I may thieve a phrase of you --

Why would a godly man, a happily married man, married to the love of his life, whom he believed to be the hottest woman between milemarkers, be Googling (close cousin to ogling) hot Salida girls?

Maybe he was looking for some young people to mentor.

Or maybe he needed help polishing his holster.

You know, did Barry ever make it to Walmart on 5/9? Looking for a last minute CYA Mother's Day card? Or did he see no need? Cheap is cheap. She wasn't going to see Mother's Day. And it's not like it was Wife's Day.

I am concerned for the new owners of PP, however. They must be overrun with chipmunks.

If Barry loses his gun-wielding privileges, how long until he's got one in each hand?

Can he really resist? A magnificent elk, a real one. The maligned mountain lion? A troublesome chipmunk?

But, your honor, I neeeeeeed my guns. I kill, it's what I do. I've done it my whole life.

Losing his firearms won't faze him.

I wonder if there's anyone close to him who'd harbor wespons for him.

For as long as he has people to manipulate, he will.

He needs a sentence with teeth.

Bear claw.

I'm not worried about the new owners and chipmunks. They will learn soon enough how to deal with them when you live in their territory. Made me chuckle because on my "local FB group" some newbie to the area just asked how to deal with the chipmunks after a bunch of wiring destruction earlier this week LOL. Everyone has their own way....

I was under the impression that Barry said he was shooting chipmunks when confronted by Grusing about what he was doing running around the Puma Path home that Saturday when Suzanne went missing. Chris Rock is funny, murder is not. All MOO

Not sure if this means that Barry can still use firearms or not.

It seems like there should also be a fine attached but Lauren has not tweeted about that yet.

I posted a link a few days ago to all the voter fraud cases in the 4th district and the sentencing outcomes and this is pretty in line so not unexpected in my opinion...still thought there would be a fine attached.

I suggest buying a bag of unsalted peanuts. If you can’t beat em’, feed em’! It keeps them busy burying them. I guess I’m just not a killer. :)

Eytan is now asking if #BarryMorphew can use a hunting rifle. “He is an avid hunter and would like to hunt in the upcoming hunting season.”
oh

Request is for firearms and archery. Murphy says it’s not too uncommon of a request in this county. Judge has a probation officer in the meeting now who says he can have a muzzle loader and a bow but not firearms under federal law until the deferred sentence is complete.

When #BarryMorphew wants to hunt with a bow and muzzle loader he has to make a request through his probation officer before hunting.

This is about what I expected. What makes me laugh is the idea of Barry being forced to hunt like Robin Hood.

For a year! And he gets to participate muzzle season and archery season so September into mid-October so not really Robin Hook LOL if you've seen hunting bows and arrows. And that is a deferred sentence....wow....means if he continues to not break probation this year as he has the past two years he won't even have that charge on his record. Sweet plea deal. I'd hire this lawyer in a heartbeat if I was in trouble and had the $$. I shouldn't be surprised...but I am slightly.

I’m still a bit confused about the influencing a public official charge. It was listed as count 5 within the case. So was it dismissed along with the murder charges, or does the one influencing charge proceed independently?
The charge of misleading the officials investigating SM's murder and disappearance was part of the murder case, and it was dismissed on the DA's request. If there was a misleading officials charge in the separate vote fraud/forgery case, I never saw it.
