Remarriage imminent? A Google search shows SB living at this address (Fast People Search).
^^rsbm

Recent tweets might indicate SB is back in Durango-- looking for work. We also know that BM's probation is expected to end around June 2023. MOO

Bizarro World...I didn't put her name in at all, because I couldn't remember how to spell it. If you just Google the address 5539 Buck Noblesville you get... View attachment 404043
Opposite of light with an "e" at the end for her last name.

Help my memory please. Who is SB? I know who SD is.

Bottom line in this case seems to be that LS will never charge BM with murder unless Suzanne is found. That wont happen. He got rid of her. Somehow. Just breaks my heart.

I agree completely!

I don't agree. LS may not remain as DA. It's a strong case even without the corpus delecti. Better prosecution case management & a judge who acts fairly & impartially could produce justice.

I will agree that the current parties & court system are likely lacking what it takes.

But I won't give up hope. Murderers must pay & I think there is still a strong public desire for justice for Suzanne.

Same person. After her troubles in Salida and media interest, she started using one of her former names. MOO

She already charged BM without a body for murder. She will again. IMO the reason BM isn't behind bars is not LS, but two terrible judges, rogue LE, and a crooked defense atty who thinks lying is justified for her own monetary gain.

I do agree it was a strong case. But LS did state that they dismissed charges because they were close to finding Suzanne’s body. It was her statement.

IMO Barry hid her very well and I don’t think she will be found.

I don’t get why the DA did not appeal the judge’s rulings to scratch the expert witnesses.

BBM - I don't want to be negative about LS - but I just don't think she has the necessary skills to run a case of this magnitude.

She might but in this case I don't think a second chance is merited.

Hopefully SM's family pushes for justice. I do not think finding the body is essential.

I do think that having IE as the opposition means needing a very strong prosecution team led by a bulldog type who really believes in justice for this particular victim. Someone who almost takes her murder personally.

“It cannot be stressed strongly enough: if you don’t have a body, proceed as if you will never have one.”

“ Unless there is a body lying at the feet of an investigator, the case should be treated as a no body murder from the start.”

“....A murderer should not be entitled to an acquittal on the basis that he was able to dispose of the body.” “That is one form of success for which society has no reward.” People v. Manson, 139 Cal. Rptr. 275 (Cal. Ct. App. 1977).

Colorado's statute governing discovery has a clear deadline that was not violated. I disagree that missing discovery dates at months before trial, pursued by the defense and agreed to by the prosecutor, would ever affect a verdict.

The sanctions imposed by Lama in fact terminated the case.

At the entry of the not guilty plea, the court shall set a deadline for such disclosure. In no case shall such disclosure be less than 35 days before trial for a felony trial, or 7 days before trial for a non-felony trial, except for good cause shown.

Pardonnez moi, but what am I missing here?!?!

If an accused is not in pre-trial confinement, what's the bleeding hurry?! Was an issue of speedy trial, vel non, uttered, scribbled on Kleenex, or whatever at any point in these proceedings? Well sorry, but I can't tell from all this "'anecdotal" blathering where the miscarriage of justice, due process denial or irremediable harm may lie. Is anyone else here envisioning apoplectic judges losing their quintessential temperament, en masse, re. "missed" administrative deadlines??
* :eek: GGMM!
Yes, 'the Law' may well be duly legislated, but absent Facts, how do we reach Issues? Anyone recall "briefing" cases all evening, only to endure their subsequent Socratic-shredding in class the next am?

Sound, charitable suggestion to follow ;):
Should you sense knicker-twisting potential in a particular offering on-site, and "roll & scroll" just doesn't assuage your dishevelment, exclaim just as G.B.Shaw penned:
“If the law supposes that,” said Mr. Bumble, squeezing his hat emphatically in both hands, “the law is a 🤬🤬🤬 — a idiot.

It'll help! I aver!
