Okay... I need a refresher - who is Cody Lambert??
I wondered the same. Or what it has to do with Suzanne's murder.

He's only age 22 today and my notes say his name first surfaced around 6/30/20. Anybody that young around BM would have been an alleged meth head. MOO

Cody Lee Lambert was on the 500+ witness list.

ETA: adding the witness list per the media thread. Cody is on pg 26 of the pdf.

Cody is a former employee of Barry…one of the people BM called “meth heads”.
Cody is also listed on the witness list.

Yes - IIRC he was one of Barry's "flock" - Barry liked to mentor the wayward we were told I believe by one of his sister's in an interview - Barry would offer them jobs and counsel and talk to them maybe about Jesus. Maybe this Cody has some interesting info he can bargain with ? In my opinion only

re: the bolded above, I don't remember that about him, at all. Is there a link to this?

Following the Alex Murdaugh trial and something interesting happened today which reminded me of the discovery sanctions in this case.

Today, in the Murdaguh trial, the defense called two handsomely paid expert witnesses-- a pathologist and a forensic expert before resting their case.

The interesting part was neither of the experts produced reports. At one point, the defense attorney attempted to admit a diagram out of a textbook as an Exhibit (an Exhibit which should have been produced by the expert witness), but after referencing SC regulations, quickly withdrew his request. (i.e., most likely copyright violation)!

IMO, the Murdaugh defense intentionally did not request reports from their experts to avoid reciprocal discovery. In the Morphew case, one of the sanctions was over a single revised page from an experts report provided a day late, and if I recall correctly, it was something very benign like an address change but Lama was already on record stating not having the experts complete report would be the equivalent of trial by ambush.

I couldn't help but think after all heck E & N put the prosecution through with the sanctions over the state's experts and their reports, I could see Iris doing the very same here with her own witnesses -- paying them big dollars but not requesting any report so she would have nothing to share with the prosecution before the defense resting. MOO

Barry’s sister Marcy M says it in this interview with Keith Morrison of Dateline.

Wild, that was one of the interviews I chose not to watch, and then forgot to go back and watch later. For me, watching emotional interviews being given while the case is going on, tends to often sway my thinking (exactly as they're intended to do) so I don't watch them until after the case is closed.

Then maybe hold off on watching.
Charges can be refiled.

This case is not closed until there is Justice for Suzanne!

Travesty of justice.
Why was JL, Suzanne''s boyfriend, such a big part of the PH? He was investigated, had a legitimate alibi, and lived in another state. The biggest "bombshell" in the PH, was her affair. Character assassination with religious undertones. Like BM said during the prayers and bbq with Grusing, CBI, and CCSO "it's in God's hands".

What did Barry know about it & when? It goes to basic motivation for the charges against him. I don't think it was overblown in the AA. An evidence bombshell? Yes. Unrelated to BM's behavior & choices? No.

I think when we get to trial, we will see just how relevant those facts are.

JL can't be happy BM is back in Indiana, just "over the border" so to speak.

Just my 2 cents, YMMV

The affair was not used effectively by the prosecution to prove motive IMO. The defense used it to introduce moral and ethical issues with SM, trust issues, maybe she ran off to Honduras with a lover. "If she hid that, what else could she be hiding". Adultery in the Bible is punishable by death, hence the "maybe its in God's hands"

But extreme in my view. No trial yet, so we can't assume anything.

Adultery punishable by death is you speaking unless you have a source. And quoting the Old Testament is not a source.

No trial yet.

JMO, YMMV
