Quoting myself becauset IE just helped me work something out. Good visual aide here -- if BM were holding someone in a deathgrip bear hug chokehold, where would the victim's nails go? Ah, IMO, the victim would be facing away from him, reaching around across her chest.... clawing for freedom -- that'd be an impossible hold to wrest free of....I never tire of this photo.
When IE joins the new firm, will she bring her beloved pursestrings with her? Looks like she's got 'em pretty well wrapped around her.
Ugh…..
Appreciate the distinction @Seattle1 - thanks for clarifyingI think this firm's announcement is a bit misleading. Buried in the latter paragraph, it's revealed she's joined "Of Counsel."
Generally, the term means that IE and RM (a Civil Rights firm) have an established working relationship, and RM is letting the public know she could be "called in" to assist on one of their cases. If anything, I would have expected this from Fisher & Byrialsen PLLC -- the firm she took BM and his $15M lawsuit to. But maybe F&B didn't extend the invite to carry Iris' name on its letterhead.
Also, noting Iris didn't make any announcement about RM, 'Of Counsel' on her own site. JMO

I tried to attach her linkedin page but that did not work for some reason - but she does announce it there
jmo
very there, I'd say, with malice. That's not what happened Iris, and you know that since you were there.

Any idea where her ex-partner Dru is now? Or why they parted ways?Thank you, and yes, she did add 'Of Counsel' to Experience and Activity:
No one is more excited than me to announce that I have joined such a distinguished civil rights firm. Siddhartha Rathod and Qusair Mohamedbhai have been my friends for years. Now I get to expand my litigation practice and work alongside their rock star team to help people who have been abused by governmental officials and discriminated by their employers. Let's GO!
From her LinkedIn, I'd say Dru joined a firm that partners with the Colorado Poverty Law Project to go after a Denver law firm and Landlords for charging tenants unauthorized attorneys fees and costs, whereas her former partner goes after prosecutors, investigators, and police for arresting and prosecuting a murderer. Mr. Grusing is the best!!!@Gardenista. Thanks for the tip. Watched this podcast featuring FBI Special Agent Jonny Grusing talking about the capture of Scot Kimball. I never tire of listening to Grusing. He is the best of the best. One day BM will be retried. Looking forward to that next go-around between him and Jonny.
