But he was looking for a bobcat attachment according to a contractor who he contacted to see if his was still for sale. Maybe the equipment-running at midnight noise heard by the elder neighbor to the riverfront site where BM was working was BM borrowing or attempting to borrow such an attachment from one of the rental bobcats at that job?If he Bobcatted it, I think it would have been deeper. Besides, the blade on the Bobcat was more for moving dirt, not digging. I can't recall if he owned a backhoe attachment. So that's not it.
The case was dismissed without prejudice, meaning the charges can be refilled!I thought he was cleared. Can he be brought back in?
I just can't get this nagging thought out of my mind. What if he has moved her sometime in the last three years? We all thought that. I liked the mine shaft idea, but we also knew multiple cadaver dogs hit on his Bobcat, despite GPS data ruling it out.
It’s very difficult to dig in that type of soil, and it appears that a shallow grave was the best he could do with the time he had.
This wreaks of panic, and not some well thought out coherent plan. It’s like he put all his mental energy into the murder itself, and then decided to wing the disposal.
Ive seen a few times a fit of rage......doing life altering violent assault.......spending hours with the victim hanging in the balance........thinking about what to do....and the choice to finish them off rather than seek medical intervention and consequences.Hmm.
I think he was in a rage when darting around "shooting chipmunks" (or squirrels or whatever - none of them needed to be shot). But was she dead at that point? I am on the fence. I think he might well have tranquilized her.
And then...killed her later. Which is not a fit of rage, IMO (unless, of course, he's one of those people who can sustain rage for many hours). He started the process of killing her in a rage (but had already fantasized/thought through how to kill her).
If he did strangle her, I think it happened off-premises. I've always thought this. And I think it's an attempt at creating the "perfect murder" and that part of it was thought out before. Or he's incredibly cagey and smarter than I think he is.
I'm very interested in rage (have never experienced it, myself; but have seen it). It's usually brief and the rageful person often makes lots of mistakes (like Barry). But he was not in a rage the whole time.
I'd like to think that most of us would just collapse, and turn ourselves in, or otherwise let others see a bit of who we truly are - if we found that during a rage, we had killed someone.
Ms SD will be crucial at trial. She knows and knew a lot.
IMO.
These ppl who are emotionally empty sure tend to overdo it when they try to emote. That furrowed brow..I think there were pics posted very early on, here at WS ?
What a drama queen.
Smh.
Omo.
Like Chris Watts, leaving part of a sheet exposed…Had he dug it in advance though, it would have been much deeper. A shallow grave tells me he almost certainly did it by hand.
“Oh, Suzanne…”These ppl who are emotionally empty sure tend to overdo it when they try to emote. That furrowed brow..
Different plants at different growing levels through her bones can determine if she was moved or not.I just can't get this nagging thought out of my mind. What if he has moved her sometime in the last three years?
Had he done that, I think he’d have done a much better job of hiding her; this was sloppy. I saw a video of the location on the Colorado CBS affiliate (CBS 4), and if they weren’t using stock footage, this was a really bad place to hide a body. It was right next to some sort of barn.I just can't get this nagging thought out of my mind. What if he has moved her sometime in the last three years?
He won't be able to quickly cremate her because the homicide investigators will bring the forensics team and the medical examiners in first. It will take awhile for tests to come back in.Not sure if double jeopardy applies ?
Wouldn't be surprised if the husband has her quickly cremated, though.
Gotta hide that evidence, if he did it. (I kinda think he is responsible, doesn't seem like the wife had many enemies ?)
Omo.
I believed BM suspected Suzanne's affair for a while and may have been using a spy app on her phone. In that case, his rage would be seething and ongoing. But walking in on her sending the selfie pushed his rage over the edge. A slow simmering rage can last a while.Ive seen a few times a fit of rage......doing life altering violent assault.......spending hours with the victim hanging in the balance........thinking about what to do....and the choice to finish them off rather than seek medical intervention and consequences.
Hence the tranquilizer....'mercy' killing (if you will indulge. ****eyeroll***)
just speculating.
I believe that video (if it’s the same one I saw) all the news sources are floating around is from that initial search where they dug up the concrete at one of his work sites.Had he done that, I think he’d have done a much better job of hiding her; this was sloppy. lol, you’re right. It’s not like they would have sat on this footage for nearly a week, and there’s little chance investigators are still on scene.I believe that video (if it’s the same one I saw) all the news sources are floating around is from that initial search where they dug up the concrete at one of his work sites.
Or like Watts, claim "rage" but killed the kids too. Ie in a rage that she said he'd never see the kids again....Hmm.

May God Bless Sweet Edna Quintana and her grieving family. I hope she is recovered soon to bring them some peace. The CBI told KRDO investigators were searching in the area of Moffat in Saguache County for 55-year-old Edna Quintana who had gone missing in the region on May 3, 2023. It was during that search that investigators found human remains.
