Well, well, well...

Another misrepresentation by the illustrious IE?

The letter from the hotel says the room still smells like bleach (4 months later).

Pandemic, pool closed, how many people rented that room after Barry?

MY takeaway -- the room still smells like bleach not because it was a naturally bleachy room, not because it was located near a likely empty pool, but precisely because BarryM overchlorinated it.

That suggests industrial grade chlorine. The kind you might purchase for a spa or hot tub... quick scan of the internets says that the scent of chlorine can last days to weeks. Closed room, little circulation -- not impossible that room could still be bleachery for a very, very long time.

Won't make ir break the case but it remains an interesting detail...

Perhaps the most telling detail of all -- when speaking with the Ritters, is not what he said but what he didn't say.

What he didn't say: I'm up in Broomfield, chilling at the hotel, where I've been most of the day, trying to bleach the hell out of things....

That's a truth he didn't want to tell.

I’d love to know what all those wet towels looked like when J&M arrived; also, the tub/shower, surround, etc. Bet LE didn’t check the drain trap either. BM was definitely not used to cleaning up after himself… MOO

MG should also have been surprised, when BM talked about hiking to make the wife happy. Probably she was!
Dear MG could share so much with us. She really must get a book deal when the dust is safely settling.

LScharf has only published mere minutes of her interviews with MG. She's got an hour and a half or more, much we haven't heard!

Why'd Barry wasn't her phone protected?

I suspect that MG has no desire to keep Barry's secrets.

I'm only sorry JP won't get a chance to face off against BM.

The truth deserves a full airing.

And if he had used any of SUZANNE’s inheritances to pay back the loan, then he’s got a quandary, because she’s wanting and needing her money so she can leave.

If he used her money, I don’t think she knew it.
^^rsbm

We know from SM's sister and her messages with SO that her inheritance was invested in the cash purchase of their $1.6M Puma Path residence where SM appeared to believe the installment contract sale of their former Indiana residence would be satisfied around January of the next year (2021), whereas the actual contract pay-off and closing date was scheduled for only a couple of weeks after BM disappeared SM -- around June 5, 2020.

I don't have any doubt that BM both paid Gene off in May 2020 and misled SM on the anticipated date of the contract pay-off -- well knowing he'd be in receipt of significant funds within weeks of SM's demise.

And what did BM do soon after receiving the final payoff from the Indiana sale? Like any spouse with a wife who suddenly vanishes and their whereabouts unknown, he purchased a vacant building lot-- titled in his name only! o_O

If he would be known to the hotel as a demanding guest, who complains about things immediately, if they aren't ok according to his discretion, and if he didn't complain about the extremely smelling room, THEN something is very wrong and unusual for May 10th in 2020.

Would be nice to learn, how he normally is known to behave himself ....

I remember MG saying she and JP took the tools with them. No idea what happened next. But MG would know and will almost certainly be called as a witness.

I sure hope they have those shovels, but I'm doubtful.

RBBM

Interesting.

IIRC BM paid JP a visit just before JP passed on.

Wonder if it had anything to do with those tools?

I wonder about JP's death (afaik OD), if BM visited him previously and "had a problem" with things related to May 2020.

JP was found deceased on 3/16/23. BM's case was dismissed a year before JP's death -- can't imagine what business he'd have with JP just before he passed??? o_O

ETA: See link for the El Paso County Coroner's Report.

Two words.

Long-range injectables.

I wonder how many animals Barry has tranquilized. I wonder how many he's humanely brought back to full alert.

We all asked why Barry would leave the wrong tools for the job in Broomfield. It was suspicious from the get go.

And now we know.

He used them to dig a grave, then left his faithful, Barry-fearing crew with no other means, knowing full well they'd be loyal, give it their best and use those shovels vigorously, unwittingly shaking off all of Moffat's dirt and conveniently shrouding them in Broomfield's.

I hope his stunt backfires spectacularly.

Bye, bye, toolibis.

If BM talked to SUZANNE’s father in this same week (as mentioned in a post above) to tell him to tell his son that the big loan SUZANNE’s father had made to them had been paid, that, too, would have fed BM’s entitlement.

Sounded a bit like, “Tell your son to stop bothering me about the loan.”

And if he had used any of SUZANNE’s inheritances to pay back the loan, then he’s got a quandary, because she’s wanting and needing her money so she can leave.

If he used her money, I don’t think she knew it.

IMO
I would assume their money was comingled...no Suzanne's money or Barry's money. I can't say I imagine many couples married a couple decades keep their money completely separate and in their own name. My assumption is they had accounts related to Barry's work and a household account and perhaps some fund accounts like the gold/silver trading, maybe a mutual fund, maybe some small amount in a retirement account from the couple years Suzanne's worked at an income producing job teaching. The private foundation from back when they were dreaming of returning to Africa or going to Africa or whatever the story was never had more than a handful of thousands in it. LE looked at the accounts they knew about and the prosecutor had a pretty good idea of their net worth...Suzanne's inheritance was used for the PP home and they borrowed $100,000 from her father. If that got paid back it got paid back on their income or they wouldn't have needed to borrow $100,000 or the rest of their assets were not liquid enough to cover the purchase of the PP home so needed $100,000 for the cash purchase of the home.

A year later? Wow.
It is not that uncommon for these processes to take time.

I recall a different case profiled on Dateline not long ago. In the early stages, that case did not have good vehicle telemetry or GPS data for the accused. I believe the prosecution had to press GM (I think, not Ford or Chrysler) and eventually the data was located. It took quite a while and almost appeared that the vehicle manufacturer went back and did a ‘good data pull’ the second time. And that data actually was given to the court, prosecution, and defense while the trial was already underway.(Unfortunately I cannot recall the exact case nor specifics of it.)

I would rather the DA and prosecutors take their time and get this right and solid. There may not be a chance to do it over. So it best be done correctly and soundly. As it is apparent that the defense will be wanting to throw stuff at everything presented.

I think you may be thinking of the Alex Murdaugh case…

Yes! Thank you!!!!!! … I’ve just returned from a high school reunion. Not telling which one but it was great. But I am running on half steam.
We will assume you just went to your tenth reunion. ;)

I’m 3 or 4 pages behind, but I see y’all talking about the tools that BM left at the hotel.

in January 2021 Lauren Scharf told Profiling Evil that Morgan said that she still had them ( when Lauren interviewed her) and Lauren advised her to let Law Enforcement know.
