Pretty sure Barry told Ritters to call 911 "just to be safe". Safe? For whom? Too late for Suzanne. To keep Barry safe from having to call 911 himself. Transparent much? Sheesh.

He contradicts his own sorry self. Suzanne watches church services on Sunday mornings... so, uh, Barry, how's she also biking?

I bet he didn't even know about her plans for the wedding that day.

And why go zero to 911 anyway? Me, I'd call out favors first. Get a phone tree going, get all hands on deck, on foot, by car, starting with all my firefighter friends.

But then, he didn't need an army looking for Suzanne. He just wanted her bike found.

So he could come back.

No doubt BM used the Ritters here for his benefit. The call from JR caused CCSO to respond to her home and take a missing report, and officers later reached out to BM to fill in the blanks such as SM's birth date and the time he left/last saw SM. This gave BM the opportunity to be on the response side where he only had to answer generic questions and fake being emotional over the phone. BM did not want to be part of the incoming 911 call, period. Recalling it was several days before BM was identified and was intentionally being referred to as "the husband."

Gee. Why was the prosecution a gutless mess?
They leave minutes on the table when another vehicle was in the mix, meaning not just Suzanne's newer RR was available but also the old non GPS equipped one?
At the time of the AA, her RR data was not back yet. I am not sure why it took that long to get the data for her car, but I was just reading the AA and in it they tell Barry that the RR info isn't back yet.

A year later? Wow.

There were two Range Rovers. The older one was Macy's and did not have data.

What I took from the quoted AA was confirmation spa chemicals surfaced -- consistent with SM's reminder text. IMO, placing the bottles on the front passenger floorboard follows a typical action by the driver.

IIRC, there had also been a concern about the mechanics of the spa that required a service call by a technician.

I don't doubt that BM made this (technical) inquiry the week of May 9 -- just not on the date/time reported by the defense (contradicts Saturday store hours).

ETA: Recall that Stove & Spa was only 4 mins from DSI (ie., Bobcat blade change), and BM has to pass S&S on his way home to Puma Path.

Someone please tell me Barry never got his guns back? I cannot recall. Thanks in advance!

He is convicted of nothing, not under arrest, he must have them back.

Been looking at Barry's airplane mode activity, one entry logged is air plane mode on April 24th and then airplane mode off May 2nd - what was going on during that time. Or am I reading it wrong? That's a whole lot of days to have your phone on airplane mode in one go

It's in the defence stuff

There was a hearing where he tried to get back items that had been seized by LE that included guns, he was denied that request.

A year later? Wow.
From the AA, pages 31-46/129:

5/16/2020 -- LE seized the 2015 Range Rover (SM), and 2007 Range Rover (MM) from the PP garage for processing.

5/20/20 -- FBI advised no Telematics for a 2007 RR.

7/13/2020 -- BM sells the 2015 RR to an Indiana couple.

4/29/2021 -- FBI Technology Division advised SA Grusing the results of their examination for 2015 RR have not been completed.

5/4/2021 -- AA filed and BM arrested.

Jan 2022 -- Per the Civil Suit (pg 139-140), appears no event data/report (i.e., doors/lights/ignition) was produced by the FBI download expert for the 2015 RR.

A judge ruled that the guns were to continue to be held as evidence- so Barry is gunless.

That’s how I recalled it. Thanks so much. Poor Barry has no guns during hunting season and hopefully he will be locked up before next year’s season begins. I am taking pleasure in this and maybe his hunting buddies are no longer buddies either.

I went back to the AA to review Barry’s phone calls while returning home from Broomfield.

5:15pm: first call from Jeanne R that Suzanne was missing
5:45: the Rs call Barry again
6:05: Barry calls the Rs
6:09: Barry calls MG
6:20: Barry calls (redacted), daughter?
7:10: CCSO calls Barry
7:21: Barry calls Suzanne’s phone -for the FIRST time since the Rs had advised that she was missing.

In over two hours, one of them just driving home, he never dialed Suzanne once? He was supposedly rushing home because his wife was missing. Did CCSO ask Barry if he had tried to call Suzanne, when they finally spoke to him? I wonder if he would have called her phone at all before he arrived back in Maysville, if he had not been prompted.

Raise your hand if you think he is gunless.

IMO no way.

Or cat. Deer. Elk. Moose. Chipmunk.

His case for murder was dismissed without prejudice which means BM remains the primary suspect for SM's murder and charges can be refiled at any time.

It doesn't follow the Court would release evidence to the defendant where it could be altered, destroyed, etc., not to mention the break in chain of custody where it could never be re-admitted into evidence again.

I don’t think he is cooler-less anymore, either.

As a convicted felon for a period following his conviction for forgery of a government-issued document, BM was not allowed to possess a firearm.

The charge he pleaded guilty to in Chaffee County District Court is a class 5 felony.

However, under the terms of his plea agreement, his sentence was deferred for one year when he was on supervised probation. Once BM completed his community service and probation without violation, he'd no longer be deemed a felon, preventing him from possessing a firearm.

I'm with you @Megnut -- he's replaced any firearm previously confiscated. Or caused his daughters to now own firearms of his choosing. MOO

In the odyssey to bring justice to Suzanne, will the release of the autopsy be the next important milestone? I googled the timeframe for release of an autopsy report and got answers ranging from 24 hours to four months. Does someone have more insight and education regarding autopsy results?
