I gotta say - what an absolute load of crap about the infant murderer going free because loose lipped Linda made some inappropriate statements about him.
Evidence got him charged and arrested, so evidence alone should get him tried and prosecuted.
Should she have said those things - no. Should that freak of nature that murdered a baby have charges dismissed because of it?! Absolutely NOT!
What a bloody joke!

(BTW am speed reading so may have missed bits on this - but can't believe my eyeballs here!)

Bizarre.
Also sets up precedence for Suzanne's case.

The legal end of things is something I'm not familiar with at all.
I'm wondering how the terrible decision in the other case sets any precedent for Suzanne's case, since there's really nothing to "undo" at this time?

Certainly provides Iris something to spin and create a whole new narrative about:rolleyes:
She's still exceptionally and suspiciously quiet - WHAT is she up to?

She's awaiting the results of Lindas visit to the disciplinary board....... IMO alot rides on that.

Will he be able to afford her on the next go round?

Harsh lesson for the Baer, to learn she didn't believe in his innocence, just his wallet.

Sadly, someone will probably pony up for him.

Yes I believe he could afford Iris. If you recall prosecution estimated their net worth around 2 mil. His bond was a cash bond $500,000 which he would have gotten returned. He finalized the sale on their Indiana home and Puma Path. He would have had to pay lawyers for the first trial but that would not be 2 mil I don't think and from any gossip that's been around he is living a pretty frugal life so yes I think Iris would remain his attorney unless he's unhappy with her and hires someone else.

Seriously my friend, would this not have to resemble a SuperP*AC ?

There are IRS limits on gifting/receiving as well, and this would be not anything to which any attorney would care to expose their trust fund(s), for example.

I believe if the DA brings a defective case it will be overturned on appeal. That is why every other prosecutor I have ever watched speak on a case is careful and professional. The police use PC specialists to speak in public for this reason also.

Another remedy is needed besides tossing a case made defective by prosecution conduct or the DAs re-election.

Maybe this is a good reason to have a court generated change of venue.

Wish I were not such a ruminator.

...for how extraordinary, Suzanne's future, had a single straight back chair been there with her in the bedroom.

No splintered door jamb then.
No "Here's Barry!" moments of terror.
Just a home entry by LE.

Deluges are billed by the hour.
Truth.
I suppose there is a possibility he receives preferential rates for any number of possible reasons...

Hope you don’t mind… the link didn’t work for me, so I found another, and the detective discusses DV around 5:20. Domestic violence isn’t just physical. It’s about coercion and control. Well said.

I could not agree more how disgusting that a baby killer goes free because of LS statements. But she did make very inappropriate and disparaging (which I would have said even worse truth be told) comments, but she is the DA and cannot make those kind of statements in public before a trial. She should know this by now. I asked earlier but can he be recharged?

The abuse of children, animals and the elderly make me so angry and sick to my stomach that I want to scream. The truly innocents on this earth.

I don't think that would have stopped BM from killing Suzanne that weekend. Delayed it, but not stopped it. :(

Yes, I believe he had made up his mind, and as you say, nothing could have stopped him.

It was not because of her statements , it was because of the punitive action imposed upon the innocent baby by a judiciary who are trying this on once too often.
It's totally irrational.

They had plenty of ways to punish her without destroying the rights of the victim..

I don't know whether he can be charged twice for the same crime but I sure would be placing him under tight surveillance and hoping he will become indiscreet at some stage in the future and that will provide new evidence and a new charge.

He'll also probably move on from his present accommodation and sparks will likely fly when he does and stories will be told..

That's my fantasy, I am now thinking like LS and I dont feel remotely guilty even if I have to set him up with a plain clothes drinking mate..
I would do that.
Babies are sacred beings.

I'd also be searching the dark web for any footage he might have uploaded to sell.. while he was banging tiny baby's head off the bathroom door en route to making him vomit
In the toilet, no less. rather than get a cloth.. Also why was the baby expected to vomit? anybody ask?
Rant over.
Thanks.

They are all guilty of enabling this.
