Recall when someone claimed SM was shot in the basement?
Yes, I remember that some speculated it occurred in the basement (foundation) of the beach property, and that the concrete was poured over the body. That was when they were excavating the beach property, I think. (Since the Puma Path home has no basement.)

Did he pour copious amounts of bleach / chlorine into the septic tank thinking it would mask the smell of blood ?
If he had he would have destroyed it.. Bleach is antithetical to septic tanks because it kills the organisms necessary for them to function correctly.

There was drone footage from one of the tv stations that showed the house and yard from all angles. You could see the hot tub in that footage. The media thread might have the video.

In the news helicopter video, the hot tub is seen starting at 2:19

The most incriminating evidence at trial will be M and M. IMHO SUPER MOO! BM told them he did it...nobly - at SM’s cancer-pain motivated request, out of love, not withstanding the legal risk to himself
I had not thought of this...interesting.
However, should that happen, I think the court could subpoena Suzanne's doctors and override HIPAA as to her medical condition at the time....maybe. From what I understand though, Suzanne was in remission. Also, given that she was religious, I doubt that she would go along with "assisted suicide", nor would she allow her husband to do that.
Nope, the daughters will hear plenty in the trial to refute that.

Just catching up with today’s posts. Feeling sad, considering the day, and upon multiple mentions of SM’s father. So very sad that he had to deal with this and didn’t get to see this arrest. Not that it could have helped his pain anyway..

also, I had long thought that this was likely a blood-less or minimally messy...situation. Hearing everyone’s thoughts are making me seriously re-evaluate and open my mind to other possibilities. I’m not sure why I thought that way; I just did. Again, add that to the list of sadness today.
There's a good chance you could be right about it being a bloodless crime. Stangulation, for example, is common in intimate-partner violence or homicide. It is the ultimate form of power and control. And it doesn't leave a big mess to clean up.

I still can’t get over the fact that he apparently hasn’t had a criminal attorney all along. He must have felt supremely confident. So dumb!
Isn't that the truth! I’m amazed he’s not had one on speed dial. Is he that tight, over confident or dumb? Baffles me!

In an interview back in the fall, AM talked of a photo taken of Barry lying down in the grass during a search. It was described as strange and bizarre. Is that photo available? And does it have any significance?
I’ve got the photo. I can’t figure out the significance of it. Bizarre of Barry to just lay down on the ground sprawled out. Just weird. Imho.

I was pondering all that we've learned (which isn't that much) and the past twelve months. What pieces of information do you think will be the most incriminating for BM?

1. 911 Call
2. Security Camera issues/deletion
3. Mail and or receipts/documents
4. Greater clarity to the financial picture
5. forensic evidence found in the home and during the various search warrants
6. Barry's statements or claims

I know i'm forgetting a thousand!
I’ll go with #5 most important & incriminating,

When it comes to #6 I always thought Letecia Stauch would win that award....
Along comes Barry and says “Hold My Beer!” #bobcat #mountainlion #methheads :)

It's strange, I've thought about the cancer issue with SM living on a golf course, her type of cancer is connected to golf courses, then I wondered about BM in "landscaping" hopefully it was just a coincidence and not him poisoning her. moo
Oh gosh, can you imagine? I had no idea her lymphoma was connected to golf courses, but not surprised. #chemicals

IIRC, the Adventures with Purpose folks found a baby blue shirt. I don’t think it was determined to be Suzanne’s. Actually I don’t know what became of it? Just recall seeing a photo.
Yes, they found a size small blue t-shirt that appeared to have knife marks in it. I watched their youtube video and posted about it, but it was taken down because they're not an approved source of information at WS. I still wonder if the t-shirt was Suzanne's.

Their video is still online if you want to take a look. We just can't post it here.

I was thinking of it. If the house is safe, probably leave at home.

But did she wear a cross? How about that nice pendant?

it is inconvenient to take off pendants and crosses, with their tiny locks. I don’t know about Suzanne, but this potentially could be a weak point of the story. You know how many people walk around with metal detectors looking for gold?

JMO.
I don’t remember a cross, but I’m sure she owned one bc she had such a deep faith. I saw her pictured with several very pretty necklaces which looked to be real gold, not costume jewelry. She seemed to love jewelry. My parents owned a jewelry business for 40 years, and I always notice people’s jewelry they wear.

Strangulation = Clean Scene?
... being a bloodless crime. Stangulation, for example, is common in intimate-partner violence or homicide.... And it doesn't leave a big mess to clean up.
@MsBetsy bbm sbm Yes, agreeing w you that strangulation may leave a bloodless crime scene but does not necessarily leave a "clean" crime scene w no DNA from vic or perp.

1. Involuntary loss of bladder & bowel control may occur during strangulation, both fatal & non-fatal, per this medical evaluation protocol material.* Yes, may, not always. Loss of control may occur within one minute duration of strangling, per page 5 of infographic.
2. In trying to gain control of vic resisting, perp may inflict other injuries on vic who then bleeds,** leaving blood evidence at strangulation scene, possibly in transport vehicle, if used.
3. If vic is able to resist, strangulation scene may have signs of struggle between perp & vic, such as furniture & objects thrown about, in some cases even perp's blood or bodily fluids.

If LE has located the strangulation site, they may have some or all 3 of above. ^ Maybe more. my2ct.

Sometimes a "clean scene" but not always. my2ct.

Antlers?
Worthwhile to collect naturally shed antlers (like below) and to separate the antlers from hunted elk, then sell to others to craft/transform to decor items. Yes, quite a market for finished products w real antlers.
Examples at peakantlers.com.
"Our smaller oval elk antler chandelier...................................$ 2849.oo"
"Large sized Elk Antler Chandelier made up of 7 Elk sheds ...$ 3069.oo"
"Longs Peak Oval Elk Antler Chandelier.................................$ 6,595.00"

.
If ^ is not in the household budget, other antler products are available, say, for Fideaux the Well Fed Dog:
"Large 8″-9″ Antler Dog Chews, Set of Three Natural Dog Bones, (Regular price $18 each) ...$ 45.92"

The load of antlers pictured in BM's pickup & trailer leaving IN. was not just pocket change.

If I understood correctly, Barry went to WY market to sell them. For some strange reason, I assume Suzanne is on the road between WY and Salida.

Excellent theory on how he could get his daughters’ approval for the murder. :)EBM

I'm curious if any of you might know how a hot tub would be drained in a rural area like Puma Path.

They'd have a septic tank, right? But is it possible that the tank just drains right into the ground - perhaps channelled a bit of distance via a fake creekbed?

They certainly aren't on a large city sewer system. Do they have a septic tank? I suppose it's in the Zillow listing, but I am not able to look that up right now.

TIA!

I don't live in Colorado, but a normal standard septic system would include a leach field with underground leach lines (corrugated pipes) that the affluent from the tank drains into and is then leached into the soil. There are other types of drainage systems depending on the quality of soil for drainage.
Some rural subdivisions have a community leach field.
Edited to add that the leach lines in a leach field are like a
"fake creek bed", as they are constructed with drain rock underneath the corrugated pipe, but they are underground 3 feet deep or so.

@Charlot123 Yes could be.
But iirc, the pic shown a few days ago on The Interview Room podcast, w BM's truck & trailer loaded w antlers was taken when BM (and immed. fam?) left IN. to head to new PP home in CO, so ~ spring 2018.
I could be wrong or could have missed info about BM taking a trip (w SM) to WY in May 2020. my2ct.
Anyone? TiA.
ETA: Maybe we are talking about different sources or times?
