Found Deceased CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee County, 10 May 2020 #56 *ARREST*

I posted on this topic about six months ago or so (I also see Error505 speculated about this recently)...I think BM may have used his bobcat with an auger attachment to quickly dig a hole and buried SM there..maybe some trees were planted in the hole. A 10 to 12 foot hole can be augered relatively quickly with use of an extender. A "mechanical thing" (apparently language used by BM) would need to be done to attach and remove the auger, and, the bobcat bucket could be used to fill the hole back up relatively quickly. Did any dogs "hit" at these tree sites?

While nothing is completely out of the question, I respectfully disagree that this was a mercy/assisted suicide.

Reportedly, Suzanne and family recently celebrated Suzanne’s last Cancer treatment in October, 2019, and she was starting to go for maintenance treatments. That Suzanne was a devout Christian woman of deep faith, who loved her daughters, family, loved life.
Not only that, as someone posted upthread, Barry’s actions after the fact, and especially his seemingly moving on so fast, do NOT add up to this being a mercy/assisted suicide.

Usually we need to say Alexa (or Google or Siri, depending which device the home has) prior to a request. To get the device's attention, turn it 'on'.

Which led me to questions.

- Does screaming turn the device on, or only screaming that could sound like the device name?
- Does the device say anything back ... like "I don't understand" "Do you need help?" "What the heck is all that screaming about?" "Do you want me to call 911?"
- Does the device quietly record all the time, not just when its name is said?
- Is the device programmed to turn on if there are sounds of anguish?

I had not thought of this...interesting.
However, should that happen, I think the court could subpoena Suzanne's doctors and override HIPAA as to her medical condition at the time....maybe. From what I understand though, Suzanne was in remission. Also, given that she was religious, I doubt that she would go along with "assisted suicide", nor would she allow her husband to do that.
Nope, the daughters will hear plenty in the trial to refute that.

So many bad roads f0r Barry to go down. Maybe Suzanne was depressed; after all, she did experience a bout of depression in the past. Maybe he came home and found her, and just could not bear the thought that others would know she had committed the most egregious sin of suicide. So he lovingly buried her, and then allowed others to continue with the missing scenario, even though he knew the horrible truth. He was protecting Suzanne’s legacy and did not want the girls to know that she had deserted them and sinned against God. That’s why he could not bring himself to partipate in searches, because it was all so painful and his responsibility was to the girls. Poor Barry. I do hope he is as dumb as some of us think he is.

I’ve felt all along that Barry told the daughters he knew who took/murdered Suzanne and why. His publicly calling people ex-cons, criminals and meth heads fed into this story. I feel he convinced the girls they were all in danger and needed to relocate and keep quiet. I’d love to know when and if the daughters were interviewed by LE and, if they were, did they suddenly refuse to cooperate further.

I have many Amazon echos, dots and shows Alexa won’t call 911 unless you have a separate device to purchase that only works if connected to a landline otherwise you can download skills like “Ask my buddy” to text an emergency contact you need help.

I will say, after watching this video with Chris and his wife, my opinion has changed to a more favorable one. They are a lovely couple doing a lot of good out there and definitely compliment one another. The are "good peeps" committed to justice, I think very highly of them after watching this.

The thought that this could possibly be one of his many wild explanations is sickening. My stomach turned reading it and imagining him explaining it to someone. (The kids, primarily, obviously)

Brendt Christiansen told his GF he raped, killed and dismembered Yingying Zhang a college student she was brave wore a wire for LE. He was convicted.

Patrick Frazee told his nurse GF he was going to kill Kelsey Berreth because she was abusing his baby it was a lie so she would kill her but she chickened out but did help clean up the bloody crime scene and hide Kelseys phone. She helped LE convict Frazee.

I believe Barry was stupid enough to tell one of his GF’s he killed her but made up a reason why he did it and why necessary but not where she’s located she eventually told LE everything and that’s how they came to charge and arrest Barry Morphew.

First, from my experience with all people of faith, and of all "big three" faiths, they do not support euthanasia, period.

Second, someone has pain is so unbeatable that she is the direct candidate for euthanasia, and at the same time, she avidly bikes on a daily basis???

Your theory could explain why the DA is not calling it simply "Murder 1", but making sure the mouthful of words "with deliberation" is said with the charges whenever repeated.
BM may have a few on his side with accident/panic story.

Ah Liet....I would expect her dear friend, and her sister Melinda knew her better than Barry and loved her more too, no doubt. I would expect their testimony will put a quick end to any notion of possible suicide.

I thought about that but you can always remove the gps at least my friend who’s a mechanic knows how to do it or disable it from working.

Chase Merritt who killed the Mcstay family 2 adults and 2 young boys buried them all in graves in the desert in Victorville along with evidence. The graves were discovered three years later by a guy riding an atv who saw a bone an animal had uncovered.

It's my understand (based on the considerable research of others) that this is not true.

You can turn the GPS monitor off at the dashboard, but to actually disable the entire unit from working, you have to turn off the main computer module in the engine - in which case, the truck doesn't work.

That's why Barry ended up having a truck returned to him without said module. I believe LE kept it for a reason and that reason is that the GPS chip - just like the one on your phone - always knows where you are, even if you don't and even if you don't use any GPS apps. If the truck was turned on and working, that chip was recording GPS data, which works in an entirely different manner than cellular data.

Also - there are no cameras along Monarch Pass, just traffic monitors. See the first few threads for more on that.

I wholeheartedly agree. IMO SM was in no way trying to end her life. She had just successful beaten cancer back for a second time. Chemo is rough and challenging and to go through it a second time tells me she wanted to live. She was about to start maintenance chemo to make sure the cancer stayed at bay. This is not the action of someone that wanted to commit assisted suicide.

IMO, Barry was a lot more dangerous than cancer.

Their daughters are my greatest concern.

Totally agree with you! I think once we finally get to read the AA that it will be put to rest. We already know Suzanne told her sister she was scared and there’s NO telling what has been told to her other friends.

I think in the end, we will learn that Suzanne lived in an abusive relationship right up until Barry took her precious life. He’s not going to be able to intimidate and bully his way out of this one! JMO.
