Just to be clear....no one here has proposed that this was a mercy killing.
A poster only proposed the possibility that Barry may have told that absurd lie to the daughters.
It's not a theory that he killed her out of love, or mercy or whatever. It is a theory that Barry may have said such to his girls.

Seems this is growing legs.

Last night even, a new poster called me "..are you that stupid?" without reading the previous post about that possibility and to which I was responding.
Ticked me off...

Totally agree and if you read the posts you know this to be exactly what you've outlined.

My annoyance is not that it has been posted as a possible option by BM or his defense team. Just the thought of him trying that one too... If my irritation was taken as if it were with a fellow WS'er, it wasn't. Part of what makes this a great community is the varied opinions and offerings. The perps on the other hand, are a stain on humanity. Therefore, these things are possible to and with them.

Thanks for clarifying!

I’ve wondered the same thing.
I think those who still doubt he is responsible may change their minds once they know what the evidence is.

I know that Barry has supporters. If the things that he did were unseen to those around him, his friends will have to deal with their own stuff when they realize that everything they knew to be true was a lie. I guess they will have to go back and examine whether or not the signs were there for them to see. I have not seen one bad word spoken about Suzanne. I’m sure there is a lot of pain for those who knew Suzanne’s situation and I wonder if anyone tried to get her to leave. There is a lot of grief and regret to go around. I’m not going to fault Barry’s friends for defending him-unless they saw that side and continued to defend him.

I hope you reported that comment. Clearly it’s not in the spirit of this community.

I don’t know if @whitelilac reported it but I did. New members may be used to other forums where treating others disrespectfully is tolerated but that is a no-no from me.

I didn't, couldn't since I saw it late at night, on my phone. I waited till morning on my computer, but it was gone. Someone however was thoughtful and kind enough to report it.

Oh man! I saw that!
Ticked me off too!
That's not how we are to behave on here.

I much appreciate the camaraderie and mutual respect shown on this forum. Thank you to those who reported the rudeness. I would do the same for you all.

I hope SM's case brings a new light to the definition of Domestic Violence, Domestic Abuse/Emotional Abuse. Abuse isn't just physical abuse, it's anything that also attempts to erode your self worth and esteem. To destroy your spirit.

Just FYI - here are some of the traits of an abuser

6 Gaslighting Phrases People Say To Manipulate You

If you are in a situation of physical or emotion abuse there are helplines to call

This is one, but if you google "Domestic Abuse" you can also find others that are specifically in your area.

God Bless All.
Great post, @Puzzles8 Thank you. More awareness is much needed in our world today. Too many victims of this abuse are ending up dead, both men and women, but unfortunately it seems the females end up dead more often. Heartbreaking.

Why haven't we heard recently from Andy Moorman?
We've heard from Melinda and David. I say we give Andy a break and let him grieve in peace. I can only imagine how Suzanne's siblings are dealing with this heartbreak of finally knowing, that she's really gone. My own heart breaks for them.

Do we think the AA will be released later this week?

Do we think the AA will be released later this week?

I think the 1 week the defense had to look it over is up on Thursday, personally I have no idea when it will be released but Thursday is the soonest. I’m really hoping it does come out soon, rather then waiting much longer.

Do we think the AA will be released later this week?
It's entirely at the discretion of the defense team.
If they object, they have until the 12th to formally file the objection.
I'm hoping they have nothing to object to.
I suspect we'll know by late Wednesday, possibly, if it's coming out after the 7 days given by the judge.

Do we know if the defense would have the entire AA, and Barry too, or could the prosecution hold back certain evidence?

When BM bought that puma trail home wasn’t he concerned about leaving his beautiful family all alone by themselves while he wasn’t at home being secluded like that and no working security system? Anyone, a psycho could have broken into that house wandering through the mountains day or night. It gets very dark at night. Suzanne must be braver then me because it would be very creepy spending days and nights alone in that house while he was gone which obviously she did many times. Barry and his oldest daughter went on a 10 day hunting trip without Suzanne. My husband would have made sure we had a good working security system to protect his family

I forgot BM doesn’t care or lookout for anyone but himself. I think he loves himself too much to love anyone else. What a selfish arrogant monster. Isn’t it ironic a stranger breaking in doesn’t kill Suzanne but her protector does the deed.
I guess I have a slightly different take on this. I'm not sure I would have felt more afraid in PP than I might in small-town midwest. The fears maybe would be different. Darkness, cool air, trillions of stars, rustle of an animal... vs. higher crime level in Indiana.
For me, I'd feel safer in the Colorado setting than the Indiana one.
However, I would be very afraid in Colorado, not because of the setting, but because of the house. That house spooks me! I couldn't even step foot in it. I'd have nightmares sleeping in one of those beds. It's like a fortress. The bedrooms are all squashed and cave-y. The height of the great room ceiling makes me feel small. And I felt this way before I knew much about the case. I would not want to stay in that house by myself.
These are not things a security camera addresses.
Plus, I'm not sure BM was a great safety provider. Lack of security cameras is the least of it.

Ok I have followed here but haven't commented alot... Mainly because there just hasn't been much to go on and I'm not into random speculation as a general rule. But I need to say a few things:

1. Regarding their house - It isn't creepy or weird, or any of those things. In fact, it is absolutely gorgeous, a dream home for those of us used to living in the remote wilderness. Let's not forget, this is a million dollar home that sold pretty quickly. It is pretty typical of a high-end mountain home in Colorado. Many of those who can afford this type of thing LOVE the peace, the quiet, the solace away from the city. It isn't at all "scary" being there at night. It's a lot like camping but with modern conveniences, protection from weather and critters, etc. In fact, it's less scary because you KNOW a random stranger isn't likely to wander onto your property like they would in the city. There are less break-ins, etc. in these remote areas. I think many of us are projecting the creepiness factor after the fact, knowing what probably happened in that home, but if we had seen it before would have said how lovely it is and how lucky Suzanne was, to be able to live in such a beautiful home. Make sense?

2. The antlers - Many people trap, hunt, collect pelts, antlers, etc. These things are valuable. I highly doubt BM killed an animal solely for the pelt or antlers without also using other parts of the animal (deer meat can be sold, traded, eaten, skins can be used, etc.) These things also don't make BM a wife killer. I mean... I think we know the right person is in jail at this point, but it isn't because he hunted or collected antlers. I know lots of folks who do this and they haven't killed their spouses.

3. I highly doubt BM spent a lot of time hunting in CO. The area they lived in isn't like the area they lived in in IN. Yes, there is public land near their property, but it is also HIGHLY trafficked land. You couldn't just wander out the back door and start shooting... too many people. BM would have had to drive for at least 30 minutes to get anywhere where hunting would be permitted, at least to my knowledge of the area. I mean their house was in an HOA. That's not exactly "remote", just remote by non-Colorado standards.

Anyway, I hope we get an AA soon.

In my opinion, the house really isn’t remote at all. We visited Colorado a few years ago on vacation and turns out we would have driven right by the entrance to their neighborhood on the way to one of the sites we visited. They lived right along a very well traveled highway.
