Imagine it from a defense lawyer's perspective. You arrest BM because SM is dead and there is plenty of blood in the home indicating something happened there. BM has said he left SM sleeping in her bed at 5 am. Defense lawyer says someone OTHER than BM is responsible for SM's disappearance and all that blood that someone cleaned up where she had once been. BM has shared with his defense lawyer the long list of drug addicted, ex-con former employees who've promised retaliation for him firing them after they bungled some work for him. Defense lawyer says, "did LE question each one of those folks and check out their alibis?"

Investigators and the prosecutors have to build a case that is like a Mack truck driving down the road of evidence without detours. The defense lawyer will try to convince the jury the truth is like a silly straw that weaves this way and that around oddities and through rabbit holes that defy reason.
I suppose but I was thinking of the Kelsey Berreth case and Gannon Stauch cases. The arrests were made shortly after blood evidence was found in the homes and there was no body in either case. JMO

Awsome post, Diddian.

I sure hate paying RE tax, but the due dates are regular and the payment is easily estimated either from the assessment or from the prior year's payments. I budget for mine, as do most people.

I would also pay close attention to the taxes due should I be looking at properties. Having a large home is no pleasure if you made yourself house-poor and not in a position to pay a hefty tax bill every year.

It looks like the 2020 taxes on PP were ~$4500.

Save $402 a month and you have the money to pay it and the HOA
If you have the money, you are not scrambling as Barry seemed to be. We live in Texas and have nowhere close to a multi-millionaire dollar home. Our property tax is over twice this amount every year. I hate it, but we have the money to pay for it without scrambling.

I really think that Barry's failure at realizing his dream of becoming a professional baseball player caused him to overcompensate by pretending to be more successful than he truly was.

Apparently, it was all about show to him. He obviously didn't read the book, "The Millionaire Next Door."

All of this is news to me. Where does this info come from? Link please.
I believe that Chris M. mentioned it in his latest Y/T video. I thought that you watched it??

I also stated "I think" and added "JMO" at the end of my post. Hopefully, that adds a level of comfort to those who choose not to believe it.

Has it ever been discussed / considered whether he could have placed her remains in the river next to Puma Path?
Yes, parts of the river were searched early on in the investigation. I think they used divers but I'm not sure exactly where. Imo

MG may have assumed that Barry had only the tools that were left for them when she estimated a half hour's worth of work. But... if he had a Bobcat with him, to "move some dirt around", he may have done more than everyone thinks he did.

RSBM
Barry had the bobcat in Broomfield, IMO. This picture is from Lauren’s video of the job.
The only way those scuff marks are etched in the stone block is from the bobcat bucket scraping the front while removing the capstones. Barry removed the cap stones with the bobcat, otherwise you would need to manually remove each capstone with a crow bar. Now that would have been an all day job...

One of my biggest issues with him. He just says things all.the.time., but IMO, has no accountability to those statements. My unpopular opinion.
Maybe, I am naive; however, I believe Chris M. and feel that he has "confidential" sources. He has mentioned more than once about CC and golf.

For reference, I heard him mention it when he was a guest on "It's a Crime." Then, he mentioned the golf membership on his latest Y/T video, I believe.

If investigators indeed found blood evidence in the home, why would it have taken a year to arrest him with a charge of 1st degree murder? Wouldn’t that be the most damning piece of evidence against him?
@BeckyF, if you were out of town and your husband disappeared, should you be arrested if blood was found in your home?

It was reported early on in a PE live that BM reported a handgun missing shortly after she was reported missing.
(SBM). Wow! I missed that.

Seeing that giant gun safe on the hillbilly-stacked trailer, I'd have taken BM for a guy who kept his guns locked in there except when he wanted access to them.

Were any other details provided? For example, did BM say where the handgun was supposed to be when he noticed it missing? And did he seem to imply SM might have had or gained access to it?

Rsbm

Genuinely wouldn't surprise me if that was what his intentions were - maybe he has implicated a similar scenario to their daughters - poor Suzanne, how would she feel about all of this, its heartbreaking. :(

I thought that I heard Chris M. mention that Barry said that Suzanne and he got into a fight before her disappearance. I was shocked at hearing that statement, too!

Surely, I wasn't imagining this one-liner by Chris. Was I? Did anyone else hear him say it? I can't remember if it was on the "It's a Crime" Y/T where he was a guest or his latest Y/T video.

Intersring to note that the bucket attachment would have been used to rake out the beach site in Salida, then used again Sunday for the Broomfield work.

I wonder if the mechanical thing that BM did to his bobcat occurred in between those two events and perhaps an auger attachment being added as others have theorized is what BM forgot about.

Is this the original order? Fingers crossed for tomorrow...
It is-sorry, false alarm. I opened the site and there were three things. I opened the third and linked it without noticing it was the original order, posted again. I went back to look and the third link was gone. So it must be been accidentally reposted. Somebody is in the system on the court’s side...

So I'm assuming Chris is implying that since BM paid for his golf membership that CC must know something about the crime and he's trying to keep him quiet or reward him for not talking?

Whoa, great catch Murphy. I remember seeing the pictures in Lauren’s video but don’t know a whole lot about construction and how all the various equipment works/used for.
So ole Barry may have had his beloved big cat bob:rolleyes: with him in Broomfield after all. But didn’t leave it there for MG and JP to finish the wall repair job???
Per MG, paraphrased:
“We didn’t have the proper tools or equipment to be able to do/finish the job”..

Not if that’s all that was found, of course not. LOL
And my post was not meant to bash the detectives who worked on the case.

Yes i heard this too on the latest stream with his wife, he seemed to quickly move onto another topic straight after saying it though, i was expecting him to talk more about it but it never happened and then i was left seconded guessing my self wondering if i heard right or if he was actually referring to the mia/larry case but i for sure heard him say it an wondered why he didn't elaborate more on it.
