According to Hamilton County property records, October 22 is the date someone entered a mailing address change with Hamilton County on the 10-acre parcel with house that was under Land Contract. Those changes can be made online.

I have no idea what the significance of the May 13 date is.

Edited: Never mind. The Oct 22 mailing address change occurred in 2019.

Did he vote in Indiana while living in Colorado? And in the meantime, where is the AA?

Maybe forgery on the guardianship?

Under CRS 18-5-102, Colorado law defines the crime of forgery as making, completing, altering or uttering (offering up) falsified documents with an intent to defraud. The offense may be filed as a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the circumstances.

Examples of forged documents include:

  • A fake will;
  • An unemployment insurance application with a false Social Security number;1
  • A made-up letter of recommendation for a job;2
  • A false tax return;3 or
  • Doctored university transcripts
Colorado also punishes possessing forged instruments or devices capable of producing one.

Penalties

The punishments for forgery depend on the type of document. It is a class 5 felony to falsify cash, stock certificates, or legal documents. Under CRS 18-5-102, this carries:

Meanwhile, forging most other types of documents is a class 1 misdemeanor. This carries:

  • 6 to 18 months in jail, and/or
  • A fine of $500 to $5,000
Possessing a falsified document can be a felony or a misdemeanor. It depends on the document. But it is always a class 6 felony to possess a device that makes forged instruments. This carries:

  • 1 to 1 ½ years in prison, and/or
  • A fine of $1,000 to $100,000
Defenses

Three potential forgery defenses are:

  1. The defendant had no intent to defraud;
  2. The document was authentic; or
  3. The police committed misconduct.

See, proof of life. Suzanne took time out from being a missing person and voted.

I’m sitting here laughing and shouldn’t be.

Dang Barry. IMO

but why? If he already has no bond.
I don't know that is what puzzles me, but I'm following the Vallow/Daybell case closely and that is how that one is being handled, lots of minor charges to keep them behind bars while they assemble the grand jury to indict them

The Felony Forgery may very well be related to the Guardianship, thinking about getting his daughter to sign it off under threat or straight up forging her signature.

The Misdemeanor Mail-in is just ironic..., let's just say I think Barry votes for the party claiming fraud and leave it at that

Edited for clarity, my brain malfunctioned.

Yeah hoping this has to do with guardianship and real estate transactions. I don’t get the ballot thing but maybe that tied in somehow to her signature.

I wonder if he mailed in an absentee ballot for Suzanne and forged her signature. Could he get around this by saying that he had POA for her? I don't know the voting laws.

In any case, I hope that they pile on the charges of everything that he has done to break the law, no matter how small.

JMO.

I’m curious if someone really gave CM a heads up about the imminent arrest of Inmate Morphew. It certainly seems that way since CM arrived in Salida the night before! Too much of a coincidence. And as closed lipped as LE has been, I’d be disappointed to know there was a “leaker”! That could really have been dangerous if BM got wind he was going to be arrested.
EBM to add MOO

It is not uncommon for ex- LE to hang out in the station. They get a lot of information from both the local area and other locations.

I; as much as anyone here wants to see the AA. However I suspect there is information in it which is very useful for the defense and they are trying to hold off as long as possible.

I have a feeling the forgery may have to do with the guardianship. Just speculation MOO I’m not sure on the voting unless it was to oppose the new DA :)

You’re right. That’s a logical explanation how CM could get info.
