Well that’s curious! What the heck? Think they’re getting ready to post the murder AA?
From our lips to the the Colorado Judicial Branch's ears, right?

I swear I've refreshed that 3485 times in the past two days.

Just a thought... I wonder if the new voting charges are meant to apply more pressure to ole Inmate Morphew hoping to break him down. You know authorities want to know where he hid Suzanne. Hope today is the day the big AA is released. Thinking of the Moorman siblings and their agony.

Why did they sit on it, what purpose is served by delay?

Prosecutorial and judicial efficiency. The most serious crime is often investigated and prosecuted first. The major crime prosecution team may find that the minor crime investigation is interfering with their process. Too many cooks in the kitchen. If you arrest someone on a minor crime, they're entitled to an attorney and you may not want the person represented by counsel while you are still investigating a more serious issue. Once you are charged it starts a whole process of discovery that is controlled by the court and the DA (or state or federal prosecutor) takes over.

You do sometimes see people charged with a lesser crime first (like Casey Anthony, Megan Boswell) but it is rare. It usually means they do not have sufficient evidence or a grand jury only returned charges on the lesser crime.

Thank you @Alethea Makes perfect sense with your explanation. Appreciate the input from our great legal minds here.
If the Moorman family received the AA yesterday, how long do you feel this judge will wait before releasing publicly? In Gannon Stauch case the judge was giving G’s family a week, but AA was “leaked” to the public. Judge then ordered it released publicly. Thank you again!

That makes sense.

Interesting area to look at for sure...close to Salida and Poncha Springs with a huge reservoir, marshlands and wildlife refuge. There are so many good hiding places there especially for someone who is familiar with the area.

Mt Shavano - Google Search

And Mount Shavano is located 6.5 miles from Maysville in the San Isabel National Forest which also backs up to the PP property. Mount Shavano sounds familiar and I think it’s because Beverly England’s bones were found there IIRC.

It would be easy to dispose of a body in that reservoir or bury a body in the woods off a hiking trail. It would be hard to find a grave in all that wilderness and particularly one that was covered with rocks or trees. There is a 9 mile nature hiking trail that winds through miles of secluded forest with beautiful wildflowers in the Spring. The part of the trail that goes up the mountain has a lot of large boulders and rocks - Barry would definitely like it there! I just thought of something - is that why the Rocky Mountains got their name? (Duh :p)

Is there any significance to the FBI meeting Barry at Franz Lake? I agree with some of you that have brought this up and IMO yes there is a strong possibility that it wasn’t just a random meeting place where Barry was working that day. Maybe they were keeping him under surveillance by that point because an arrest was imminent. Perhaps Barry was there with his new girl enjoying a beautiful Spring Day so the FBI thought that was the perfect time to meet up with him and catch him off guard. It could have been a pre-arranged meeting place but can you just picture BM and his new girl enjoying a beautiful Spring Day without a care in the world and suddenly the FBI rolls up in their black SUVs and armed agents wearing FBI jackets jump out...step away from the picnic basket Barry and keep your hands where we can see them!! :D Barry thinks this is it...he’s finally being arrested for Suzanne’s murder. Well it’s a nice fantasy even if it didn’t go down quite like that.

Didn’t D.A. Stanley say she had already made the decision to arrest Barry several weeks before May 5th? So on April 22nd did the FBI also already know he was going to be arrested for 1st degree murder? Was there evidence from LE’s investigation of Suzanne’s “disappearance” which they are now confident was murder that BM was in that Franz Lake area on Mother’s Day weekend? It was close to home and Barry is an “outdoorsman” so does he know that area like the back of his hand and feeling comfortable there? I can’t wait to see if there is as a reason they just filed forgery charges and met Barry at Franz Lake to interview him. Maybe to scare him or could have been to make him feel more at ease in his element and slip up and say something they could use to help convict him of Suzanne’s murder or to find her remains. I hope the AA answers all our questions!

Sadly I could imagine Barry thinking this area served two purposes...it was a good hiding place plus a beautiful final resting place for Suzanne. And it is well within the 3 1/2 hour window. And maybe he did take Suzanne hiking on Saturday after all. Not to make her happy but to make himself happy...and free & WEALTHY. Justice is coming for Suzanne!!

Oldie but goodie I heard the other day that reminded me of Barry so this song is going out to Barry Morphew wherever you are...oh yeah PRISON! Where you belong!

Not only does he loves rocks but he is dumb as one too! Shocker! Not!
If he had any smarts at all, he would have forged Suzanne’s signature, made up a witness sig and mailed it from a town far far away. That would have given his defense a tiny little bit of ammo to say; “See... Suzanne is still alive and voting!” Not that it would have helped him. What a pity.

Filler news while we wait for the AA... “what little boy doesn’t aspire to the big leagues?”

TEEN DREAM
Murder suspect Barry Morphew was drafted by MLB team the Toronto Blue Jays after school success & dreamed of going pro

A scout named Don Welke of the Toronto Blue Jays had met with him the year before at a tryout camp and was impressed enough to keep a record and attend his games.

"You've got to have a strong arm and speed to be considered," Barry told the newspaper.

But the article shows how he “greeted the call with a mixture of elation and anxiety” as he was torn over attending college and going pro, as he hoped to still be able to study at Michigan State.

It is not known whether he went on to study, but it appears his baseball career was short-lived and he later worked as a landscaper.

Ha, I'm depending on the WS thread of "breaking news" to alert me for this release! TIA whoever does such with links when they are.

The online docket seems to only show future scheduled court dates, not past ones. There may no future court appearances scheduled in the 85/forgery case, and that's why it isn't showing up now. JMO.

could they not combine the two charges into one court date going forward? I’ve seen that many times, but can’t remember a time that a misdemeanor like forgery was combined with a murder charge. But if that charge plays into the murder charge, then maybe?

It now says there’s a hearing on advisement today at 10:30am.

The 85 case just reappeared on the site. Someone’s fingers are in there moving docs. Thinking we will see the AA soon.

So ole BM committed Voter Fraud. Well color me surprised, NOT!
His lame excuse to the FBI is just him feigning ignorance. Of course he knew it wasn’t ok to vote for his “missing” Spouse. Like I’ve said before, BM thinks rules don’t apply to him, everyone is beneath him, and thinks he’s above reproach.
Get ready Barry, this is just the tip of the iceberg, your house of cards are about to be exposed and come crashing down all around you. And.We’re.Here.For.It.

Thinking about and praying for the Moorman family as they receive and digest the AA.

Justice is coming Suzanne.
