Prosecutorial and judicial efficiency. The most serious crime is often investigated and prosecuted first. The major crime prosecution team may find that the minor crime investigation is interfering with their process. Too many cooks in the kitchen. If you arrest someone on a minor crime, they're entitled to an attorney and you may not want the person represented by counsel while you are still investigating a more serious issue. Once you are charged it starts a whole process of discovery that is controlled by the court and the DA (or state or federal prosecutor) takes over.

You do sometimes see people charged with a lesser crime first (like Casey Anthony, Megan Boswell) but it is rare. It usually means they do not have sufficient evidence or a grand jury only returned charges on the lesser crime.

Thank you for this info!!! Answered many of my questions and makes the order of the charges more understandable!!!

here is a law website with answers and Colorado is ref there. if you have different ideas kindly explain your side instead of just saying "that's not how it works" this sounds like a very complicated issues that is different in all states and all countries and yes it can happen depending on the circumstances.

Can I authorize someone to vote on my behalf?
It has no bearing in this situation so that is not how it works. He can't vote her wishes when she is not alive.

Maybe the AA will be released by then and they will be able to discuss it.
Yes, I'm thinking the Moorman family knows the time that the AA will be released publicly and agreed to be on the show after that time. JMO and speculation.
Edited to add: Well, my speculation was clearly wrong. Defense filed a motion to prevent public release.

As far as Barry's voter fraud and trying make it look like Suzanne was still alive --- the word "Fraud" fits him so well !

That mindset also seems to have leached into all areas of Barry's life.
Although "Fake" would do nicely. :D

Cannot wait for the AA and the culmination of our speculative efforts at untangling his web of lies.

So much hard work and effort for Barry to labor at, only to see LE expose him and see it all go down the drain.
Pity.
Not really. ;)
Imo.

So much easier to live a law-abiding life !

There’s really not a way to sleuth Barry’s company BLM landscaping he owned in Indiana regarding “how it was sold” is there? I’ve heard rumblings he “sold” it “multiple” times to several “different people” which would not surprise me considering his “ethics” we are getting a look at. Unless there are court filings, the information will be unattainable unless you happen to live in the area and actually KNOW who might be involved is my best guess. Anyone have any other ideas or suggestions? All MOO

Good questions.
I have had a look around and Barry's "business" doesn't seem to be online.
Can't find his website for the landscaping business or hardscaping as some have seemed to call it ?
Did he only do subcontracting (working for other people and not as an owner himself ?) ?

Maybe whoever bought it changed the name and that's why not much can be found? He also might have sold other properties.

Well, there you have it. It seems that the AA will not be released after all...

Does anyone think that the family was given a copy of it yesterday?

ETA: I know that it will eventually be released. I meant that it will not be released today or tomorrow as we had hoped.

JMO.

Thank you. I believe one buyer kept the name and started a Facebook page, but nothing posted after May, 2018 iirc. I’ve just been snooping to see what I could find to dispel what are prolly rumor stuff, but who knows.

Why would this be any more useful to BM than having the buyer go through a bank?
I suppose he could be laundering money? Is there a Russian oligarch somewhere in the picture?

There are many benefits to this. The first is that it allows the house to be established as being worth a lot of money, but in fact, a person can default on payments (or be forgiven payments) if the new owner doesn't care to collect. It's done quite a bit.

Mortgage companies pretty much insist you make payments or lose the house. Your friend, relative or business associate who holds the paper on the house..may not take legal actions. This happens within families quite a bit.

So, my aunt bought a house from her then-boyfriend and "paid" $900,000 for it - she actually gave him $50,000 and moved in. She never made a single payment. The house was probably worth $600,000 at that time. But it bumped up property values in the nice neighborhood where it stood. When she eventually sold for $1.1 a few years later, they were married and shared in the proceeds. In the meantime, he could have taken the house away from her, if he wanted (so there was some control there). The property itself was appraised at $1.3 million, by an appraiser well known to both of them...part of an appraisal is based on the last previous sales price. Aunt and uncle knew this and had done it a few times.

Curious as to how long the prosecution will take to file their motion. They have 14 days, but will they wait that long?

I figured they would file asap. Unless it's just a matter of giving the family time to look it over and digest it, it's gotta be a long document.
