It is still unsettling that Barry was so controlling and wouldn’t hook up the landline. They are not that expensive so what was his reasoning. We have had one in the country for fifty years because cell service was not reliable.

JMO..I still wonder if her phone was under the cement slab and the information hasn’t been revealed yet.

As for a suspicious car, with so many tourists in the area, what is suspicious? I don’t even recognize my neighbour's vehicles anymore as everyone is always driving something different. JMO

Why call an elderly neighbor to check on Suzanne? I never understood this. If I were truly concerned about my wife, I would call the police and ask them to do a welfare check, explaining that nobody has been able to get in touch with my spouse.

I mean, Suzanne was by herself and could have fallen, had a heart attack, been hurt by an intruder. Barry was out of town. Contact with police first and then drive home. Wasn't he just a few hours away? If everything proved to be fine, he could drive back to the workplace.

None of it made sense to me.

JMO.
Because she was the closest person and the two couples knew each other? I can’t imagine calling someone a half hour away if I could connect with a neighbor down the road.

There are no “good” outcomes for this entire case, imho. The best outcome for the remaining victims, those who loved Suzanne, would be for Inmate Morphew to confess all, saving family the torture of a trial, avoiding all the details coming out in the trial of what the monster did to this beautiful, loved woman, and tell LE where SM is so she is laid to rest as she deserves, not like a pile of trash. Then, maybe healing can begin for the daughters, his mother & sisters, and all the Moorman family, as well as the community of Salida.
Just MOO.

I agree with this completely, and will add, have a lawyer draw up some sort of binding agreement that all his profiteering done over this past year, every last dime of that go into an account for Suzanne's daughters. Every dime from her house, her car, her clothes(?), jewelry(?), her pain and suffering, and anything else of hers that he sold... that money should go to the girls. My goodness I cannot stand this horrible man. Ugh!

Yup. I don’t care if the neighbor is 25. You don’t ask her to go inside (once again, not absolutely definitive, but it is extremely possible and it has been said that neighbor went inside-bleach smell?)-to find an injured or ill Suzanne, or to be confronted by a possible intruder. You call your buddy GD who lives close by, has been on 400 tours, and you ask him to take his experienced butt into the home and have a look around. Unless, of course, you need him later.

Exactly.
My theory is the girls were supposed to find her gone, and when that didn't happen because they were delayed, he altered his plan a little. Neighbor instead of family.

Not wanting to go is not the same as embracing the place once you actually move there.

I totally believe the claim that SM did not want to uproot herself from her established life in Indiana. Isolating herself from all of her family and friends. Having to move far away from her cancer treatment health provider.

I think it makes sense that the move was pushed by BM due to financial issues starting to blow up. The 'burning his bridges' in IN idea. The info is coming from close family and friends (either directly or via CMs background work), so I trust it more than BMs claims.

SM seemed like the kind of person who would do her best to make good out of a less than ideal situation. The impression I get from the interviews with locals, is that SM was well liked and fit in, while BM did not acclimate as well, throwing his weight around town. JMO.
Yes. She made friends in Salida and they are still searching for her and obviously anguished about her.

Has it been reported anywhere that the daughters were supposed to arrive home on Sunday or at a particular time on Sunday?

Camera points entering 50 N and S to Puma Path.
A Maysville camera and a Monarch camera every vehicle
8th -10th needs a look.

This is a short interview, but is full of first hand information coming from SM’s sister. I feel like this interview is the closest I’ve been to any solid information in this case. She also is probably one of the last people to talk with SM before she went missing. There is a tremendous amount of grace that comes from Melinda. This interview is well worth the listen. IMO
A "like" just wasn't enough. Thank you for posting this!

Agree. And anybody that did cosmetic work on him should reimburse the daughters.

I wonder if the neighbor had a key to the house. I'm not sure we've ever heard that the house was locked. Would Barry have locked the door on his way out?

EVI information has BM driving around between 12-4 a.m. on the morning of Mother's Day...

Interesting.

I must be missing something.
I just watched this and didn't hear the part bolded above.
Can someone point out the time stamp where that is?

True
Living in small towns all my life, I would have called a neighbor first to go check before calling 911
Heck, even in this little community I now live in, we call each other and ask...hey, is so and so car home, or if a pet gets loose ..hey, have you seen Luna ??
A truck can pull up late at night at neighbors where I know he has expensive work machines, trucks, etc and one night a truck hooked up to his hauling trailer and I can text my neighbor or his sister who live a few seconds away or his dad who lives down the road and say, HEY-- someone is taking Steve's trailer hooked up to back of a truck.
I mean, we all look out for each other and we are NOT as remote as they were.

All we know is they were running late, according to Barry. The "plan," he said, was to celebrate Mother's Day later in the day. We don't know when they arrived home but I haven't heard any mention of them being around on Sunday night when the bike was found. Imo

We all know that money cannot fix any of this nor will it make the girls feel any better. However I totally agree because as long as Barry pays for what he’s done, the girls are essentially on their own. Yes, there’s extended family around, but their dad destroyed the family unit and they would have likely continued living a certain lifestyle had BM not did what he did. Additionally, SM would want her daughters taken care of in any sense possible, and that of course includes financially.

all of this brought me to wonder if even suzanne’s personal things such as photo albums are already gone. I so hope that M&M will have something, anything of suzanne’s. But something such as photo albums are generally irreplaceable. Oh, such sad thoughts..

ebm to add imo, jmo

EVI = Electronic Vehicle Information - It is essentially a black box for your vehicle.
AM= I believe is 59
Did LE really say Barry was driving around between 12:00 and 4:00 am?

Was BM including himself in that plan at all, I wonder? Cos I thought he was staying overnight in Broomfield, hence the HIE room, or was the HIE room another late addition to the building of the alibi - I wonder when he booked the room?

I never heard it in the video, so I don't know where that came from.

Thank you. Would love a source for him allegedly saying this. I think I recall it being reported that he told the neighbor that, but I could be wrong. JMO.
