The call by the neighbor to report SM missing was received by authorities at 4:46 p.m. as stated in the very first press release:

On May 10, 2020 at 1746 hours the Chaffee County Communications Center received a report of a missing female in the area on County Road 225 and West Highway 50.

I'm sure it was a mistype. 1746 is 5:46 p.m.. Thank you for posting this!

I saw a lot of similarities to Scott Peterson, as well. The whole "Golden Boy" persona. McDonald and Peterson both have that, too, imo.

Yes, that "Golden Boy" persona. After watching the Interview Room from yesterday with CM and TO, it just reinforced how he was revered by family and friends in his earlier years. Wonder if there was a turning point post-not making it to the Majors (MLB)--perhaps his first major "failure." On a side note, it's also interesting that it is still not clear why he left baseball.

In any case, perhaps this triggered a need to control everything/everyone from then on...if life wasn't going HIS way, he'd do anything to "win," in his sick mind, even at the expense of his wife's life.

I’m curious why you say early in the morning.

MOO
17:46 is actually 5:46pm.
That seems so late to me.
I would be all over the phone calling every neighbor, agency, and friend as well as be in a speeding car and calling everyone I could think of on the way about my mother (or any family member who did do the "missing" thing as a habit) if she was inexplicably gone.

How funny, i'm correcting it and mistyped the right time. So me... I've corrected mine too!! :p

Look how different these posts are on that interview?
I actually commented a few days ago on the exact same thing Nuttmeg mentioned in her post.

I had said that I thought Barry's demeanor changed because he could not stand to see Suzanne having a good time if it did not involve him.

So not so different, really.

Isn't it ironic how Barry was a star super hunter even as a kid, Suzanne was his last kill and now the tables have turned this time he was the one who was hunted, tracked and captured who will die in captivity.
Yes, I noticed Chris in particular seemed to enjoy that comparison.

I wanted to post the actual video of Andy Moorman saying that Suzanne was working with ... meetings.
MOO MOO
it is two different statements.
He starts to say she was working with ... (Counselors? Safe house people?) Pauses as he realizes that topic is leading to highly confidental information, then just picks up a cover statement of a more public type explanations of her doing something about DV "meetings."

Around 2:20.
‘I’m afraid this is domestic abuse’; Suzanne Morhpew’s brother says husband not participating in search, carrying shotgun to keep people off property | FOX31 Denver

Thanks for bringing this forward AND time-stamping it. I need more ears to confirm. I think the message of his sentence was:
Suzanne was working with... domestic abuse... meetings.....

I wish we could ask him to clarify. How ever he meant it, she was clearly associating with a support group.

I hope other women in the group have had the courage to come forward to LE, safely, as anonymously as needed. Maybe Barry silenced her one voice, but many voices will speak best for now.

Grateful for the voices of her siblings...

JMO

BM wouldn't agree that SM could truly have fun unless it involved him. The first time I heard this account from TO I couldn't help recall the story about BM allegedly telling some guy to "control his wife." We've heard that SM has a loud, belly laugh and I wouldn't be surprised if BM popping his head in the door was more like a message directed at SM to "tone it down" -- and she did, immediately. MOO

“I’m afraid this is domestic abuse,” shared Moorman.

Moorman said he learned while searching for Suzanne that she was “working with domestic abuse meetings.”

Yes--it has been verified in the sense that Andy actually did say it in the MSM.
However, its correctness has NOT been verified. No one else has said it yet, including LE, and he offered no corroborating details. <modsnip>

What Type Of Conduct Is Considered Domestic Violence In Colorado?
An act of violence, a threat of violence, or any crime that is committed against a third party (e.g., the victim’s new significant other, or a family member or friend), animal, or property with the intention of causing fear or with the purpose of exercising control, coercion, intimidation, revenge or punishment, that is directed to the victim with which the aggressor had or has a relationship is domestic violence.
^^sbm

Just listening to SM's sister say that she received a text from SM stating that she was afraid -- this could very well be why the State added a Domestic Violence enhancement to BM's existing criminal charges. Causing fear meets the Colorado definintion.

Murdering one's spouse qualifies as DV in CO (& most jurisdictions). It would not require any proof of previous DV incidents. The act itself would merit the enhancement.

Yeah, I'm sure Barry wouldn't agree that he didn't like Suzanne having fun without him.

I do think there were probably many times when he did not "approve" of her behavior. He may not have minded so much if she let out a huge belly laugh when he shared a funny story with her. Or maybe he just has no sense of humor.

I think Barry felt the most comfortable when he was admired and the center of attention, especially Suzanne's. He probably felt threatened by her relationship with her family.

Thomas mentioned something about Barry always having someone with him, as if he didn't want to be alone. Suzanne was likely the one person in his life he could control.

I think that once he realized that was coming to an end, it was over for him. He was "done" with her. He wasn't about to let her go on to be independent and live a happy life without him.

And he especially was not going to let her do it with half the money and assets they shared.

Imo

When the only mention of a bike ride is from her alleged murderer I don't think it needs disproving does it? I could be wrong mind you
I think it is always a mistake to assume something when you don’t have all the facts. The only two things we know with certainty are Suzanne went missing and they pulled a bike out from below the road. Was she riding it we do not know.

I admire your restraint in only just starting to think of BM as a manipulator - The Master Puppeteer has been my secret nickname from him since TN's odd involvement and disappearance!

Master, master pulling the strings
Allowing us only to say certain things
But bash us in the media and you will see
We'll cut our strings and you won't go free

On another topic, I think the slow drip or addition of charges may just be the way things are - it's possible they just got word he was about to skip town, and didn't quite have everything else buttoned up. OR MAYBE, in my opinion, it is a calculated move to erode/cast doubt on BM's good guy image in order to influence people who are very very close to BM who perhaps haven't been entirely truthful or cooperative because they think BM walks on water/is a saint. They could be sowing the seeds of doubt in certain hearts and minds.

P.S. I drove by a lonely forlorn Bobcat in an empty parking lot last weekend, and thought of your Love Letter from Barry, and laughed and laughed. Good times.

BBM. Lmbo outloud :)

If Barry told his workers in Broomfield that he had to leave due to a family emergency.....why was he seen in town the rest of the day without police, family or first responders? He told his workers that he had to "take the wife hiking or biking". Notice he never mentions Mothers Day in relation to the "hiking or biking". Why would he need to cut a work day short that took 3 hours to get to, in order to "take the wife hiking or biking" on Mothers Day without mentioning that its Mothers Day?

We also know for certain that Suzanne's husband has been arrested for her murder.
