If Barry told his workers in Broomfield that he had to leave due to a family emergency.....why was he seen in town the rest of the day without police, family or first responders? He told his workers that he had to "take the wife hiking or biking". Notice he never mentions Mothers Day in relation to the "hiking or biking". Why would he need to cut a work day short that took 3 hours to get to, in order to "take the wife hiking or biking" on Mothers Day without mentioning that its Mothers Day?
BM told his workers he had to leave Broomfield (3 hours away), for a family emergency on Mother’s Day- Sunday, May 10th. The rest of the events you described happened the day before- Saturday, May 9th.

That was a different day, on Sunday, when he said he had a family emergency. On Saturday he told MG he had to go home to make the wife happy, but was allegedly seen in town all day. Imo

Pure speculation but I’m guessing BM in his infinite wisdom wiped the bike clean before placing it in the ravine. So there was NO touch dna on it. Which would be impossible if Suzanne had actually ridden it. MOO.
Lmbo I can see BM wiping down that bike & just practically spit polishing it to get his prints off, and wiping off everyone else’s prints too! PSA the perp is not the sharpest tool in the box!
I wonder which bike was found . Was it the $5k bike or the “parts” bike CM has talked about that was supposedly purchased. Did SM leave her $5k bike at the shop the preceding Thursday to be repaired in some way? In his haste, did BM toss a “parts bike” which wasn’t in working order down that incline? CM walked the area where bike was found. There was a barb wire fence between where the bike landed and the edge of the river. If a person had gone down the steep incline during an accident, and become disoriented, they would have to crawl over the barb wire fence to fall in the water, accidentally. Can’t wait to read the AA? Wonder if Barry’s ears burn when we talk about him? MOO

"Just one of the team"........that is the MO of guys like BM. He talks about his "team" who helped search for Suzanne.....hunting friends from Indiana or volunteer firefighter friends from Salida. The common denominator is ....these are alpha males who are very loyal to each other. Barry chose to "blend in" early on with his "team". He's not an individual suspect, in his mind, nor should be in his mind...but rather...a member of a team. The "team" cannot possibly be guilty. ....so neither can Barry. Members of the team support Barry and are the very last to buy into his guilt. He finds alot of aid and comfort from members of his "team".

It is interesting that the ghost poster who signed into Suzanne's facebook account at midnight on the 9th only contacted friends of her brother, Andy...and not any of the "team". No?
I can imagine how they are feeling now. After a year of believing in him, supporting him, and some of them sacrificing their time to help search for Suzanne, they must feel completely betrayed by him. He used them to his full advantage. That's what a controlling narcissist does.

Leave it to Barry to make fools out of everyone.

Here's the thing, noone EVER confirmed she wasn't on her bike. It was never ever verified.
The proof needed would be “SM Was on a Bike”.
You don’t try to prove she was never on it. No one could prove she ever got on a bike!
Are you still having trouble understanding it’s difficult to prove a negative. I’ll try to explain it a different way, if so.

BM couldn’t prove she got on a bike, he wasn’t home, per his statement. Tracking dogs were used & LE started their grid search. The dogs picked up ZERO scent of SM.

A search was launched an a request sent to the state's Department of Corrections for tracker dogs to assist.

The search continued into the early hours of Monday, but Morphew was not found.”

Barry made a statement, paraphrased...that "if one person is saved through this tragedy...then Suzanne would say it was worth it"......I would love to read the exact words.....Compare that to Barry voting for SM. He is speaking for her in her absence. You know darn well that he did this routinely while they were together.

Barry actually rationalizes her demise...by suggesting that if someone,, anyone just happened to get saved as a result of some remote connection to her....then his actions are justified. He wants to remove his guilt and responsibility...and is willing to use eternal salvation of someone he doesn't even know to do so.

It's a step in a verbal abuse pattern, that often escalates into verbal intimidation in public, he knows she won't scream or yell or embarrass him back. Drill it into the spouse that if she steps out of line, ie laughs with another person, tells funny stories that everyone loves, or heaven forbid any of the usual marital kidding, that HE is always there to publicly embarrass her in front of her friends. More where that came from, but I suspect a lot of women know what I am talking about.

Can't have anyone else "shine" lest he not be top dog even for a few minutes.

IMO By that time (which appears to be back in Indiana since TO never visited in Colorado) it was like Pavlov's dog, and she knew to immediately clam up and put a damper on her own charming personality, even with her own step-brother, "or else". Having a spouse that openly smacks a person is not the only type of abusive behavior. Pushing a woman into a fearful shell with just a glance.....domestic violence of the mind.
Sick b#4s&$.....
Tell us where you put your wife’s body, BM, we’re waiting.

.It was reported that the only search that Barry involved himself in was the waterfront search. I find that interesting. He ignored all others. I tend to think that Barry, due to his control instincts....simply had to be at that searchsite, in order to steer people away from any hotspots....if he could.
I’m confused which “waterfront search” you are referring to that BM was involved in. I’m only aware of about 10 guys (BM friends and AM) going out to search and AM has talked about those early search days a little. I just need a refresher on the “waterfront search”. Thank you, good post.

You’re confusing the sites BM was working at.

On Saturday he was working in Salida. That is when he stopped at 11am or so after planning to work a full day.

Sunday was the Broomfield work that is 3 hours away.

So much info, verified and speculated going on here and I still believe the AA, whenever it is finally released, will contain more than we imagined. Or maybe, in one point, may confirm the worst ideas shared here. Either way, I still am waiting for it and expecting that I will end up surprised at what it contains. As much as I would like to read it, to get some answers, I know it will be difficult.

I have been taking the last few days to mostly read this thread without responding because the stages of this case, as an outsider, has been a whirlwind of overwhelming emotions. First, when SM went missing, there was dread but hope she could be found. As time went on, it was worry and distress, knowing the longer she was missing was indicative of a bad ending. Finally, with BM’s arrest, there was relief for that alone, but sadness, still, with unanswered questions and no finding of SM anywhere. Now, the more we hear, learn and speculate, it is absolutely devastating to realize that even before SM was taken from those who loved her, she was in a bad position. Maybe hurting on the inside. The kind and loving SM that we have all wished we could have known was not being treated as she should have been, the way she would have treated others. And the thoughts on that are so tragic and heartbreaking.

I believe both MM and TO have spoken a little bit recently and I am grateful for their insight and willingness to come forward at all. I certainly would understand if they wanted to stay completely silent and private during this time. Praying for all of Suzanne’s family and friends as this continues to move forward. I am still trusting DA Linda Stanley’s confidence and looking forward to BM being held responsible for what he has done, destroyed and ruined.
What a very sincere, thoughtful post @LaineyJ I’m finally making progress on working through some of my deep sadness over this case. I spent days just teary-eyed. Once the realization sets in she’s definitely gone, no longer breathing, I can focus on the criminal elements and hope to figure out a way she can be found. I’m still very sad and concerned for the girls. I doubt seriously if they would reach out to a DV victim’s advocate, but they are victims. And I understand why DV was added to the charges, the court isn’t stating there was “physical DV” just that DV is added when there has been an intimate relationship between the victim and the accused. well, I’m rambling. Sorry about that. MOO :)

You are mixing two days. On Saturday morning he was working in Salida. He didn’t head for Broomfield until Sunday. Saturday afternoon is when he was allegedly seen shopping in Salida.

Unless that picture is indicative of Suzanne's location, I'm not sure how it's relevant to anything?

Barry's character, personality and behavior are relevant to this case, IMO.

Any chance to observe him makes the case more comprehensible and interesting to me. I think others feel the same.

Thank you. That's it.
MOO MOO unfortunately I believe the seed of a plan was planted that day TS queationed the safety of Suzanne riding a bike in the area.
OMG same thoughts were running through my mind as well! Strange thing for a man to ask a woman in my opinion.

Only thing is, he’s so far off base it shows he knows very little about God or Christianity, all of course MOO.

He appears to be closer to the Devil.

I wanted to post the actual video of Andy Moorman saying that Suzanne was working with ... meetings.
MOO MOO
it is two different statements.
He starts to say she was working with ... (Counselors? Safe house people?) Pauses as he realizes that topic is leading to highly confidental information, then just picks up a cover statement of a more public type explanations of her doing something about DV "meetings."

Around 2:20.
‘I’m afraid this is domestic abuse’; Suzanne Morhpew’s brother says husband not participating in search, carrying shotgun to keep people off property | FOX31 Denver
Chilling listening to Andy again, knowing B is in his 35 sq ft concrete condo. Andy definitely said “I think this is Domestic Abuse.” When AM went to Salida, people confided in him about SMs DV meetings she was involved in. I tell you, there’s been people in Salida afraid of BM. I wouldn’t be surprised if there aren’t a few residents that decided once BM was locked up, they felt safe enough to go to LE. With just 3000 people in town, people talk. MOO

Also, listened to AM again he says:

She was working...domestic abuse meetings

I am looking for the articles about a hunting friend of BMs that stayed at PP for a few days. Does anyone remember that?
The one that asked SM if she was safe/fearful of riding her bike?

I really agree. I had not registered until I listened to Suzanne's step brother that there is a 4 year gap in the ages between BM and Suzanne. I thought they had graduated in the same year. The age gap ,as T.O ( stepbrother) said made no difference later in life but possibly did when they started dating. BM was the dominant partner from the moment they met.

I imagine throughout the marriage there were unwritten rules Barry expected Suzanne to abide by.

I also think living in a close community in Indiana ,surrounded be family and friends gave Suzanne an outlet away from Barry and also kept Barry in check. With those protections removed when they relocated to Salida,I think Barry's coercive control over Suzanne accelerated.
