I hope the defense burns through every single penny BM has.

I suspect that will happen, and at the end of it all, Suzanne is still dead, Barry will be off in prison for life, and whatever inheritance Suzanne likely hoped would eventually go to her girls, will have been wasted on defending their dad, for killing their mom. Other than Barry rotting in a cage for life, where all murderers belong, this is really a huge lose/lose situation for the Morphew and Moorman families.

Sounds like SM used it to record phone calls and the FBI played the recordings for a VERY CONSEQUENTIAL witness when they interviewed HIM.

If there is nothing 'wrong' with the materials, then the State does not have the responsibility to teach them how to access it. But if the thumb drive or CD is corrupted , then they do, obviously. JMO

In another case I follow, the DA required the defendant's attorneys to supply the blank hard drives.

If the defense provided corrupted or damaged hard drives, it became the defenses' problem.

But realistically both sides will have to work together to solve any problems.

The state will present their proof to hold BM without bail (until a jury decides his fate) at the preliminary hearing which is not scheduled until August.

Article II, § 19 of the Colorado Constitution allows a judge to refuse bail in capital cases “when the proof is evident or the presumption great.”

“The proof is evident or the presumption great” refers to those cases in which the evidence against the defendant is very strong and the judge believes that the likelihood of conviction is very high.

What was BM up to that SM was recording. I don’t buy she was recording their arguments or physical abuse. I’m going out on a shaky limb and say money laundering or white collar crimes. She was going to nail BM for something illegal, but he killed her first. DA knows what that “something” is. All moo
