What follows is pure conjecture on my part...

I am thinking Barry came home from the job site to "make the wife happy" and walked in on Suzanne telling her friend back East about the fact that she had recorded conversations which proved Barry was ____whatever he was involved in____. Additionally - Perhaps divulging to her the location of the spy pens "if anything should happen to me" prior to Barry walking in on the conversation. Their conversation coming to a sudden end as Barry flies into a rage over her "betrayal"... Exacerbated by Suzanne's refusal to tell him where she stashed the recordings.
Suzanne taking a defiant stand in her final moments. I think she wanted her daughters to hear Barry incriminating himself because she needed them to know the truth knowing the sway Barry held over them.

It’s pretty remarkable law enforcement even found this pen. I could see something like that being easily overlooked, as I imagine they’d never come across one in a situation like this before.

Just imagine the person’s reaction when they realized what they had?!

Could someone have told LE that Suzanne had a spy pen so they knew to search for it.

Definitely possible. This is something that she would share with a close friend probably.

“I’ve been recording Barry…”

MK of PE was listening to the hearing and giving a “ play by play “.

At 58:00 you can hear IE speaking about spy pen.

Perhaps SM's sister, who apparently got a very long and revealing text from SM the Friday before she was reported missing. IMO

That just crossed my mind too. We have a spy pen recording god knows what, then the text to her sister, and an abrupt end to a conversation with a friend.

Just these things alone seem pretty damning for BM. Let’s hope there’s a plethora more to follow!

“I’ve been recording Barry…”

EXACTLY what I was theorizing in my post at the top of this page.

I believe I saw her friend's name listed as watching the Webex.
I think much of what was recorded may have been uploaded to the "cloud", which aside from her phone information, could be quite damning.
I also think that whatever was recorded by SM would demolish BM's reputation, even amongst those he considered friends.

IMO

The BFF is my guess…

I listened to the hearing. In clarifying the potential witnesses that will be called at the preliminary hearing, the prosecutor referenced the team processing the house. However, I can't be certain that the prosecutor actually said "crime scene." Anybody? I best check the tweets...

Remember when Suzanne's sister said she didn't feel Suzanne was in physical danger, or she would have immediately acted on it after their very revealing conversation? I bet the BFF knew, too.

Makes me wonder if someone else was aware she was going to be using the spy pen to gain recordings of some kind and they tipped off LE once SM went missing.

Could there be charges coming for some crime in the past SM eventually suspected BM was involved in? Part of the reason for leaving Indiana, perhaps?

Well, if they're being called, they found something(s).

I can't believe his defense made the suggestion to decrease his charge as a bargain over alleged late discovery! However, I took note the defense didn't suggest to dismiss the charges...
I think that is view into what will be coming. The prosecution absolutely is going to have to prove that Suzanne is in fact deceased and they are absolutely going to have to meet the test for Murder 1 plus and the aggravation etc. etc. or they will not withstand the proof positive presumption great hurdle. I think with what evidence the defense has seen they are just firing a warning shot :-) of how they are going to approach. I think some of us have been praying that the new DA didn't jump the gun and that the defense has what they need. But they probably know now better than the arrest day what they are up against. It's a shame we won't be able to watch the preliminary :-(

I heard “crime scene” most definitely, 100%. The home was referred to as the “crime scene” by the prosecution!

I don't think so. I can't imagine the prosecution wanting to bite off anything more than what they have bitten off in terms of charges....more charges are just more things they have to prove. Unless they withdraw the case and start all over with totally different charges. And I don't plan on taking bets on that.

Which jibes with law enforcing sealing off the house immediately, and executing multiple search warrants there.
