@Seattle1 off topic but google is similar . I think one way around it is to register subsequent devices with a different ID. If they use email addresses then change it slightly. This worked at Google but I don't use apple so I have no idea if it works there.

I recall that SM 'left' without her phone? Can anyone confirm this?
I thought this too. I thought I remember reading a discussion in the older threads here why she wouldn't take her phone with her.

By all indications...it appears that Suzanne's phone went dark Saturday afternoon or late evening. We don't know if it reactivated at any point. What I am focused on during the "dark phase" is that Barry claims to have been with her, at first "to make the wife happy, hiking and biking"....and then, on Sunday, 5am. So....if Suzanne's phone was dark at the same time Barry claims to have been with her....explain that, Barry.

There you go. No Suzanne phone, and no activity since Saturday? I am waiting to hear what Barry says Suzanne and he did once he finally arrived home on Saturday after work/errands. They have his phone, so if Barry’s data shows he arrives, Suzanne’s phone still has activity, then nothing… And Barry’s phone continues to move and update. From that point forward (maybe with a late evening FB friend request exception), Suzanne’s phone does not move, and nothing goes in or out from it. I wonder if Barry knew that your iPhone records how many steps you take, whether you want it to or not.

@Seattle1, thanks for the info on Apple. That’s what they have been doing to me. I don’t even need the cloud. Why pay extra fees? Thanks so much!

To @GordianKnot,
I have given more thought to that spy pen. Barry disconnected home cameras. Suzanne told her sister she was fearful. I think the pen was Suzanne’s. The person she was recording was likely BM in his fits of rage. Hence, he is the “witness”.
I wish she had gotten out of there! I’m wondering if she taped him threatening their daughters if she left. Maybe that’s why the judge is holding onto the arrest warrant. all my opinion.

Many of you have made good arguments on both sides regarding who owned/used the spy pen. SM or BM?

If it belonged to SM, I'm going to assume BM didn't know about it and it was located during LE search warrants.

If it did belong to BM, I can kind of see him turning it over to LE or not trying to hide it from them. "see, my wife was up to no good". I can see him feeling validated by it's contents.

After the hearing last week my impression was it belonged to SM. Now, who knows... IMO

I wonder if SM contacted a lawyer sometime prior to her disappearance? I also wonder if either of them hired a PI. I can see grounds for either doing so. For SM, she would need to know what BM was up to while she was "confined" to home...and I can see BM, out of paranoia, or as part of the premeditation....hiring one.

I am sure the phone is discarded. Unlikely to be with her remains as anyone would be paranoid that somehow technology could track it.

It will be interesting to hear in the future (hopefully) when SM's phone went dark, for good. IMO

On the issue of Barry’s guilt or innocence, the only thing I can recall her saying is “well, you haven’t found the body.

RSABBM:

LOL. This is priceless.

She's actually parroting the now-infamous line by convicted murderer Patrick Frazee:

"No body, no crime, right?"

We definitely need to add that gem to the "EI's Greatest Hits" compilation.

JMO.

I had thought BM might have stored Suzanne's phone in a safe deposit box. Then I thought no, the bank would have a record of him accessing it.
Back to destroyed.
He had no reason to keep it.

Thanks for your thoughts @dkryder. I tried creating a new ID for my third device but the new ID only worked for the apps and iTunes since Apple used the phone number to link it to my initial iCloud!

Lol -- just think how easy Apple makes it for LE/investigators to search only one cloud storage for multiple devices!

I had to finally buy storage after resisting for many years. It’s 2 bucks a month and life changing. I can actually keep stuff on my phone without having to delete. I also bought a new iPhone with 256GB of storage.

My point-my other iPhone did not have a lot of storage. After a while, my iCloud and phone got full. My phone no longer backed up-f0r a full year. Messages were not backed up, nothing new went to the cloud. My cloud data was a year old. Hopefully Suzanne’s iPhone cloud was not full and backups were done automatically each night, the way my new iPhone is doing. Since the phone seems to be gone, hopefully her iCloud data was current.

I can't help but think that BM's attorneys wanted the judge to amend the primary charge from M1 to M2 for a particular reason. My guess is that they forsee an avenue of BM pleading to Manslaughter, as opposed to M2...in exchange for revealing all details and location of the body. That would be a huge departure from both M1 or M2...but, imo, they would have downgraded punishment substantially. Just a hunch...but I think they are after Manslaughter at the end of the day.

I took notes when listening to the 07/22/21 hearing.

According to the prosecution:

1. They are still looking for SM's body.

2 Items are still being processed for discovery; these items may include items from BM's condo, truck and (unfortunately) storage container(s).

I think any storage units are likely to have been rented around the time Puma Path was sold.

Not all of their possessions would fit in that condo.

I think they wanted bail, which was my first thought before the hearing even occurred and I expressed in a post many moons ago. The fact that the prosecution missed the judge's required date for full disclosure and that the defense claimed they had received no evidence that Suzanne was even dead gave them an opening. The only charge in Colorado that is a no bond charge is Murder 1. I totally believe they have no intention of plea dealing anything. The prosecution has created the dilema...in my opinion....from an overly broad arrest affidavit combined with as the defense described it to the judge overly broad search warrants and the pointed out that Judge Murphy had signed at least one of the search warrants that was very broad. If it's true that a dozen devices were seized from the Morphew home and placed into evidence as the defense claims from the signed evidence list but have only received partial or all disclosure on under five devices...the law is the law regarding disclosure. I honestly don't think the prosecution is ready for this preliminary but they triggered the time line with the arrest warrant and I've been nervous about that since day one wondering what had changed recently in their case to go after the arrest warrant...fingers crossed.

How do you think that works re: warrants? Barry vacated PP, with all of their stuff. I assume some things may have gone back to Indiana, some to his new condo, some to storage units. Does LE have to show some sort of chain of custody when looking for specific items that are listed in search warrants? Or do they ask for one warrant for an item that could be in any of those places? It’s a little hard to pin down.

I imagine they have an extensive list of items they are looking for, and probable cause wouldn’t be an issue at this stage.

Not so sure they make it easy Seattle, They could but apparently don't.
"Apr 14, 2021 — Azimuth unlocked the iPhone at the center of an epic legal battle between the FBI and Apple. Now, Apple is suing the company co-founded by...."

The above is the Washington Post but hitting a paywall. San Berndino was 6 year ago and 14 people died. Apple is still fighting.
