I think he’ll be in stripes. I don’t think we’ll get to see it though. Does anyone think differently?
Patrick Frazee was in stripes during his Preliminary Hearing in Teller Co. I don't see why BM shouldn't be also.

Maybe the other personal item was her ring. Found next to a great big red arrow. Subtlety is an art, and not everyone is an artist.

More likely it was bike clothing but @MassGuy you'll want to die twice if he staged her ring.

It's the sort of thing you'd need to dip into a creek in search of, if you don't know whether it was found or not.

What do we have here?

The difference here is Suzanne was not on the bike. The bike was staged. That is what many of us believe will be brought forth in the prosecution’s case.

I believe he would sell her ring, maybe in Mexico? Money means something to him. same for an abductor. Why toss something so valuable?
Of course there was no abductor. There was only Barry.

What do we have here?
we have a bicycle tossed into a steep revine....with zero evidence that anyone other than the woman's husband placed it there....followed by his manipulative phone call with his neighbor steering the neighbor to see if a bicycle was in the garage.

IMO No way BM the money grubber let that ring get away.

As far as I know, only one item was found and never identified. If I were to guess, I’d go with the helmet or a water bottle. Possibly her phone, but I doubt it. Her phone should have been with her or in the house, and if not, why not?

CHAFFEE COUNTY, Colo. — Authorities launched a targeted search Friday for a Chaffee County woman after a personal item thought to belong to her was found in the area west of Maysville where she went missing.

Suzanne Morphew, 49, of Maysville, went for a bike ride on May 10 and never returned.

The Chaffee County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) didn't say what the personal item was or where exactly it was found.

Carol McKinley reported during Andy’s search that the item recovered was in fact the helmet.

Investigators found Morphew’s bicycle in a ravine that evening. Law enforcement investigators told The Gazette that her turquoise bike helmet was found nearby days later.

Will Barry appear in his government issued tiger suit.....or...will his attorneys fenagle and get authorization for him to appear in street clothes?

I think it generally comes down to the protocols of the individual jail. If at all possible though, his attorneys will arrange for him to not wear his jail uniform.

I just hope there’s an opportunity for the media to snap a photo.

I will be upset if Lauren doesn’t get a seat. I wasn’t happy when I read that she would know end of this week.
The TV market is Denver and Colorado Springs so I'm assuming someone from her station and perhaps other Denver news stations will either be seated in the courtroom or at the Fairgrounds and she is certainly a "likely" candidate but probably up to her station who they send.

You forget, he first asked her to check to see if their cars were there,

I'm hoping he was soaking from a dip into the creek because he was looking for her phone. Like, for example, if he turned it off in the wee hours of Sunday morning, drove west and used his he-man arms to pitch it from a distance into a waterway with a current. Then, later discovered that, even turned off, "find my phone" could still detect its location so he had to go back to search for it so he could more successfully destroy it.

Turn off, toss, head to Broomfield early to beat the traffic of folks who celebrate Mother's Day by taking mom to brunch in gratitude for all she does for them. Later - on the advice of someone more tech savvy than he, check "find my phone" for the location of SM's, detect its location, panic, search in the creek, locate, thoroughly destroy, toss, check "find my phone," panic abated. Something like that.

If LE has some evidence something like that happened, I'm going to be laughing so hard I will not be able to stand upright.

I wouldn't put it past a man who'd vote his dead wife's ballot six months after she disappeared.

I think it is a right during a trial to wear street clothes, but not sure for the preliminary what protocols will be in place.. I'm assuming he will be in business casual clothes or suit. Papparazi may get a snap of him exiting the vehicle and entering the courthouse, but that is probably it.

From my research it is when a "jury' is seated that they may be given permission to wear street clothes and have hidden shackles (if necessary) so as not to prejudice their case. I believe that is the way I have heard prisoners described using commercial flights. That seems reasonable.

Oh he’ll absolutely be in street clothes come trial. The only question is what he’s wearing on Monday.

He steered the neighbor to look for the bikes after she said the cars were there. It was all part of his manipulative plan. Details will be out soon, and, jmo, the majority here will be right.

The Chaffee county courthouse is next door to the Chaffee County jail (142 and 148 Crestone Ave.), so there won’t be any car rides for BM. He’ll be walking in shackles, most likely through corridors.
