JL got rid of his phone and deleted all traces of his communication with SM? That's going to be golden for BM's defense to plant the TOD defense (the other dude did it and you never checked him out).

Unlikely, the linkedin message they shared 30 minutes before her disappearance would have been traced location wise and that's why he is not POI

Indeed. We are probably doing exactly what the defense will want the jury to do: use this affair and JL's behavior to keep the focus off of Barry.
Indeed. As evidence of the leading headlines this afternoon.

No one can paint Suzanne as a “bad guy”, unless you believe that having affair in an unhappy marriage makes a person “a bad guy”. This case is about disappearance of SM, her body, and her husband standing accused of being involved. From day 1 I felt it was not about another woman, but simply, money. I personally feel they both had affairs, so what?
No blood just means, he has huge hands.

you just never know who you’re gonna get on a jury, that’s my worry. But the defense will attempt to make SM look bad. While attempting to build their client up. I dunno. Haven’t heard enough of the evidence yet

I feel like Suzanne is on trial for infidelity instead of BM for murder. It’s making me angry TBH. But I guess this is headed somewhere.
There is much more to go on this…only the first day. So much more to come.

Remember, he is being held without bail and the judge wouldn’t have signed off on all of those search warrants if there wasn’t cause.

So far it sounds like what we have expected. He was terribly controlling, she wanted out, money (her inheritance) was a big issue. The only unexpected was she was having an affair…imo more motive for Barry.

The man #SuzanneMorphew was having an affair w/ says he deleted his work phone and all secret social media accounts after she disappeared bc he didn't want it to be her legacy. FBI eventually secured warrant for LinkedIN messages but never followed up on cell phone.

How long is this hearing supposed to last

 • #827
Maybe, just maybe, JL was scared <modsnip> when he found out Suzanne was missing, not because he was trying to hide something, but because he knew about things like the gun incident. Knew BM was a lunatic.

MOO
I’m sure he was scared and with good reason…he’s lucky BM is in jail now! I wonder if Barry confronted him or threatened him?

I think they did check him out - thoroughly. And his phone and his own car records will completely exonerate him. He's not in CO on Mother's Day weekend - in fact, I bet he was at home.

I’m just curious how SM was able to meet this guy in multiple states and multiple times. I can’t imagine how she’d get away from BM. I mean, maybe a few girls trips? Do we know yet or no?

Lauren Scharf@LaurenScharfTV
Agent Harris is looking through reports of the conversation with Libler that investigators had. Libler mentioned that Suzanne had told him that Barry had seen some messages and that they needed to switch communication apps. Eytan said she never heard it on the recordings.

She was worried, what if Barry looks up records. He had no idea that we had talked to each other," Eytan added from the report.

Not sure Scootie 98. It was Melinda Moorman who suggested there was infidelity in Indiana. I think our minds naturally suspected Barry and it was Suzanne. UNLESS they were both having an affair, and Suzanne kept hers a secret from her sister.
FBI agent said sister MM did not know about the affair.

Before I heard that I thought maybe her text from SM on Friday said that SM was in love with someone. Now I’m thinking it was telling her sister she was planning to leave her marriage ( just leaving out the part about another man) JMO
IDK this is too much for me to deal with on 3 hours sleep lol

Just imagine how different the investigation might have gone if Jeff had gone to LE as soon as he found out Suzanne was missing
Pardon me, but BAM!

I so totally agree, thanks.

I now think he took her in the truck to somewhere else and did something to her. Maybe they were going on a "hike" but he had that short gun hidden in his jacket.

I'll say one thing about men who prefer guns as killing tools. My dad said there was nothing quicker and that if you knew what you were doing, the animal/person didn't suffer like with other methods. He said he'd like to die in his sleep, but a bullet was his second choice.

I don't think they have any physical evidence that she is deceased - but they have a digital trail showing that she disappeared forever while in the company of her shady-acting husband, who then lies and lies to authorities for more than a year. He doesn't even throw JL under the bus, because he knows JL has messages from Suzanne implicating Barry.
Ah I see. Suzanne and JL have their last communication. Both doors open on Barry’s truck shortly thereafter, indicating that Suzanne and Barry left the house together. Later, the truck returns home, and only Barry’s door opens. Where is Suzanne? She is never heard from again, and her phone never pings. I wonder if there is any camera footage with Suzanne on it, in Barry’s truck. And then Barry alone.

No bail indeed.

Thought phone went dark 4:30 am 5/10.

Thanks. Going make a timeline now.

Phone went dark/invisible/unpingable/everything at 4:30 on the 10th.

She stopped interacting with her phone (no calls, texts, messages) at 2:11pm on the 9th..

Waiting to hear what was going on with her phone for the 14 hours in between...

Two local reporters heard it as "held a gun to his head," and I think it's an important distinction.

I'm waiting to hear from two more reporters, but the first person to say it was her head has now tweeted a retraction.
The link from DM says both. Perhaps, they will update that article. It says that Barry slapped her. I have no doubt that there was domestic abuse in the marriage--physical, emotional and mental.

JMO.
