It appears they had some kind of a brief fling in high school:

Harris is now talking about how Suzanne and Jeff Libler knew each other. They both went to high school in Indiana and in the summer of 1989, he went to a party at Suzanne's house when Barry was not there and the two hooked up.
Hooked up? I wonder who the author of those words are?

ETA-I see it's Agent Harris the FBI Profiler who said it o_O

Something I still expect/hope to hear about in this hearing: Where was BM’s phone in relation to SM’s phone when she sent her last message before disappearing, as well as when her phone went dark? While the info we learned today can cause emotional reactions, there are important fact that matter much more when it comes to bringing SM justice. JMO

I'm not sure that final message on LinkedIn came from her phone - more likely, from her laptop.

The two phones will definitely tell a story - but the smoke put up today by the defense may obscure it.

Suzanne's phone went dark. I bet that she still had it when she entered the truck at 2:40 or so on Saturday. I do not believe that LE is lying about this. Far from it - the opposite.

The phone stops at 4:something a.m. on Sunday morning. Where was it when it stopped? If at home...one thing. If not, another.

Is the phone in Barry's truck during that period and suddenly silenced? That's my bet. I hope they can prove it.

Yeah, the post in the last thread stating it was wrong of Suzanne not to report the affair to LE after her disappearance makes no sense. How was she supposed to tell LE anything if she was dead?

Lots of people have affairs, especially when they are unhappy. I would be surprised if Suzanne had NOT had an affair.

It was Barry who had everything going for him in the marriage, not Suzanne. I don't think he wanted it to end, or at least not in divorce. He acted out of emotion. If he found out that she had been communicating with her lover that day I think it would have enraged him.

I'm wondering if that's why he seemed so distracted at the beach job and suddenly decided to leave early. Did he realize she was talking to him and go home to confront her?

I think BM had been aware SM was having an "emotional affair" with somebody long-distance but just learned that the relationship had in-fact become more than he could imagine: BM learning this involved sexting and physical relationship, and SM wanting out, would have infuriated BM! In his mind, he had no choice but to disappear SM. MOO

What evidence revealed today could possibly be used to prove Barry’s guilt? The gun incident where Barry held the gun to his head shows that he’s a violent, unhinged lunatic? The cell phone times showing when Suzanne sent her last messages and then the time the cell ultimately went dark with no further activity? The fact that Suzanne wanted to end her marriage? The times during which Barry’s vehicle moved and the passenger side car door opened? Is there anything else I’ve missed that could possibly be evidence of murder? Or used in conjunction with other information that LE has yet to discuss?

I’m underwhelmed by all of the affair stuff. I suppose they are laying out the story chronologically and there’s more important evidence forthcoming. I hope.

BBM above.
I am hoping we hear, when/where the passenger door was last opened/closed.
Also the length of time, truck was stationary: amount of time to act, hide body etc.

Is this the site, where SM was left: ? rugged area for disposal, burial site, water etc?
Surely we will hear more about this.
BUT, if this was correct, wouldn't a body (or traces) have been found.o_O
Wondering, like many others.o_O

With SM's affair now known, this provides probable motive.
This controlling jerk, needs everything going his way: money all his, if SM intended to leave.

Is the Poncha Springs tower her phone last pinged off of @ 4:23 AM, the tower it would locate on if she was at home? That wasn't clear to me.

Suzanne's Phone was last pinged at 4:23 a.m. on May 10, 2020, on the Poncha Springs tour. (should be tower).

It appears that way. At least two of the journalist (Stephanie Rose and Ashley Franco) who were live tweeting used the words "hooked up", which may indicate it is the words used by FBI Special Agent Kenneth Harris.

Changing topics to the interactions SA Harris had with Jeff Libler. Agent says Jeff knew #SuzanneMorphew in high school and hooked up with her at some point. Says Suzanne sent him a text asking him how he was in 2018.

I had that same thought about timing. SM would have expected BM to be at that job site all day but he called the day early to make the wife happy. Plus they had just gotten in a big fight the night before. It’s very plausible that BM saw the messages and erupted.
I was a huge fan of some sort of crime of passion, that is, up until he was charged with first degree murder.

Something had to have indicated that Barry planned this, and I don’t think it’s something as small as him listening to forensic files in his car.

Knowing just what we know now, it does seem completely plausible that Barry discovered these communications and snapped. I think the timing also helps this argument (last communication is really close to the time Barry allegedly began the coverup).

But, it’s also possible that Suzanne had already made Barry aware of her intentions to leave him that weekend, and the timing is a coincidence.

We know from MG that Barry was supposedly acting strange at the job site that morning. If I recall, he left at around 11. That leaves over 3 hours until Suzanne’s last communication with JL, and the commencement of the coverup.

I think there’s a decent chance that Barry stopped on the way home, and perhaps made purchases that would indicate a premeditated crime.

They got to first degree murder somehow; hopefully we’ll know the answer tomorrow.

Back in 89, 'hooked up' still meant kissing, making out. Now it is usually considered the full act?

Sorry to quote myself, but another question. Is Poncha Springs on the way to Broomfield?

I’m so sad for Suzanne and the life she never had. Being married to a man like Barry for decades. Enduring bouts of a fatal disease with little support. Having her daughters played against her to take sides in fights with Barry. Her desire to leave while at the same time worrying about her health insurance and lack of income. Her boyfriend who was trying to obliterate all evidence of a relationship with her. Her life was even more depressing than I had imagined.

But isn’t he reading his notes from interviews with JL ? I’m thinking those are JL’s words. JMO

Yeah, that's my point?
Yah, I can still remember my kids pained expressions when I'd drop them off with friends somewhere and I'd say 'where should we all hook up later?'---

So far I’m not seeing the reason for sealing the AA to protect the girls - it’s an affair so what else is in that warrant ? I’m truly astonished that the DA/LE team kept this under wraps all this time …
JMO
Possibly the nude photos exchange?

Just got caught up. I didn't see it mentioned, but, speaking as someone who's access to IPA needs to be restricted, it can lead one to create dreams, make promises and temporarily be an entirely different person. If J's part of the relationship existed in a "hoppy haze," it might explain his concern for his current life when, presumably, sober. It would be quite interesting to see how many of their "soul mate" chats took place over "happy hour." This sounds very different than Ross Harris, for whom the sexting WAS the addiction.

As we wait in line for dinner, I wanted to say THANK YOU for everyone’s support and kind words. I can’t imagine the emotions the families of the Morphew’s/Moorman’s as well as the Libler’s have been through today. I will have another recap of the prelim tonight at 9 @FOX21News

I do wonder if Suzanne told him she was leaving him, maybe Friday night. Maybe this was common with them, they fought and then reconciled. She could have told she was having an affair even, and was leaving him for her new man. There is a story there that has to do with 2 doors opening on Barry’s truck when it left Puma Path, and only one opens when Barry returns. They have to have Suzanne’s cell moving along with that truck.
