Sorry to quote myself, but another question. Is Poncha Springs on the way to Broomfield?

The distance between PP and PS is about 7 miles and Salida is right between the two. Yes, PS is at the interchange taking you to Denver Metro (i.e., Broomfield).

Alright... Have ton of notes... will start typing up what maybe wasn't discussed yet...

Barry has aged and is much thinner.
His lawyers are very touchy with him... lean towards him when sitting in court, touch his back... feeding his inner Narcissus...MOO.

But isn’t he reading his notes from interviews with JL ? I’m thinking those are JL’s words. JMO
That doesn't improve my opinion of him.

Thanks to everyone that posted the tweets!
So, the prosecution team needs to present significant evidence tomorrow because of the break in order to keep BM in jail till the next court date?

Yah, I can still remember my kids pained expressions when I'd drop them off with friends somewhere and I'd say 'where should we all hook up later?'---
:D

I was a huge fan of some sort of crime of passion, that is, up until he was charged with first degree murder.

Something had to have indicated that Barry planned this, and I don’t think it’s something as small as him listening to forensic files in his car.

Knowing just what we know now, it does seem completely plausible that Barry discovered these communications and snapped. I think the timing also helps this argument (last communication is really close to the time Barry allegedly began the coverup).

But, it’s also possible that Suzanne had already made Barry aware of her intentions to leave him that weekend, and the timing is a coincidence.

We know from MG that Barry was supposedly acting strange at the job site that morning. If I recall, he left at around 11. That leaves over 3 hours until Suzanne’s last communication with JL, and the commencement of the coverup.

I think there’s a decent chance that Barry stopped on the way home, and perhaps made purchases that would indicate a premeditated crime.

They got to first degree murder somehow; hopefully we’ll know the answer tomorrow.
I’m looking forward to getting back to the discussion of Barry’s guilt. I too think he found out about the affair. He wasn’t going to lose Suzanne and her inheritance too. He was too controlling to allow her to destroy his image.

Not only did he tell MG he had to get home to Suzanne and make her happy but when he called MG the next morning she said he was frantic. Likely had been up all night.

I’m so sad for Suzanne and the life she never had. Being married to a man like Barry for decades. Enduring bouts of a fatal disease with little support. Having her daughters played against her to take sides in fights with Barry. Her desire to leave while at the same time worrying about her health insurance and lack of income. Her boyfriend who was trying to obliterate all evidence of a relationship with her. Her life was even more depressing than I had imagined.
And how about Barry not wanting her to take medications she needed and telling her how to dress?

Thank you @NoSI. I was going to warn others about this as I've previously watched IE stand behind her client with her hands on his shoulders while delivering her closing statement. I also observed the E&N team serving their male client water from a pitcher at the defense table (pre-bottled water days). Very nurturing, touchy. They've got this down! MOO

So far I’m not seeing the reason for sealing the AA to protect the girls - it’s an affair so what else is in that warrant ? I’m truly astonished that the DA/LE team kept this under wraps all this time …
JMO

I am worried that when they talk about BM's destruction of evidence, he may have had unintentional help. The daughters seem to really be supporting their dad despite at least one girl knowing about the abuse and suggesting SM get a divorce and a restraining order.

It's crazy... it happened over and over and over...

Any questions before I start looking at my notes?
Was the courtroom silent during the bombshells? Could you hear a pin drop? Impressions of Dru Nielsen? Impressions of the girls-was it too much to even look over at them during testimony? Any thoughts on Barry’s Mom? I have too many questions lol.

It's just the next "one more day" for now - the other days don't come until the end of the month.

Thank you, @marylamby This means a lot to all of us who have been trapped in similar circumstances.

But, a certain form of morality is going to get a lot of traction here. Suzanne just lost her status as an angelic, godly woman (in the press).

We ought not mention anecdotes, but we all know how tragic this is and many of us have experienced it personally.
Another domestic violence advocate I follow on Twitter likes to say, "In case you were wondering, we call ourselves survivors because not all of us make it out."

Suzanne was a survivor. She fought cancer and she fought to find love in her life and a way out. She dreamed of a better life.

Like too many of us DV victims, she didn't make it out. He made good on what I'm sure were years of threats and took away her power to leave him and find happiness and freedom. But she found some comfort and happiness first... and I'm glad. She didn't make it out, but she was a survivor.

Eytan also comforted/hugged daughter when daughter was crying during break. I do feel for the daughters. Can I post these things?

Any questions before I start looking at my notes?

I'm curious about the State's reaction to everything that was going on. How did the State attorneys seem when this inflammatory information was coming out? Did they seem worried, like they expected it, calm, nervous?

Thank you so much for sharing with us!
