This is Day 2 of 4 days at a prelim. This isn't a trial.

What they do have was/is enough for a Judge to sign off on an arrest and charges of Muder 1 with no body that has BM sitting in his 'concrete' prison.
Yep. No matter how fancy his boots are, I don't think he can Texas two-step out of the quagmire he created!

Other than the truck evidence what does the prosecution have?

I can only assume it's a boat load more than what we heard one day 1 of the prelim.

Curious, since all along we assumed the abrupt end to her online convo was with her BFF SO.
Now we learn it was with JL.

This would have been just after Puckett spotted Barry at the shop bringing in his bobcat attachment plate/thing. He seemed to recall it was around noon, 1 or 2, so the timeline seems to match up for sure.
That’s what I was thinking, as well. I know JL texted “my gang is back”. But according to LS SM quit responding in the conversation. She and JL had very long phone & text convos, lasting hours sometimes.

I’m somewhat surprised at the number out of state trips SM made to meet up with JL. I really wouldn’t expect BM to be agreeable with that much alone travel, considering how controlling he is! Moo

Perhaps Suzanne's trips (purposely) coincided with things BM wanted to do 'by himself'. If he was wrapped up in his own recreational activities, he may have been less interested that Suzanne was going to do something else also.
In fact, he might have wanted her to go away - depending what his recreational activities were. iykwim

Especially if he was able to keep track of her online/via her phone, if he so desired.

You represent exactly the kind of juror the defense is going to look for and need. No offense...but that emotional switch that was flipped with this information is all about planting seeds of doubt from a feelings perspective.

Im amazed how fast that flip is switched for some people.

There is no excuse for killing someone.

I know what a preliminary hearing is. I said a few threads back the prosecution has a pretty large mountain to climb to get BM convicted of murder one in this case. After reviewing what is out there, I think that mountain has grown. All they have is the truck evidence so far. All circumstantial.
or even coincidental, so far reasonable doubt exists....

I guess we will find out some more today and the remaining two days after that. I wonder how much of the AA was devoted to the affair and the text messages?

I feel like there has to be a bombshell? Right?? JMO
Not necessarily. There may be more accumulative evidence rather than a couple of huge pieces of evidence.

The main difference so far between this case and other no body cases is that it seems there is no physical evidence proving Suzanne is deceased.

I'm caught up. What we heard or I should say read yesterday didn't change my opinion of Suzanne at all. It was what I thought all along. Not necessarily the affair, but a desperate wife stuck under a very crazily controlling husband. A miserable life. Imo, she didn't go looking for an affair, but reconnected (hooked up) with JL, a man who in her eyes, was everything Barry was not. I hope she at least felt loved and happy for a brief time. She's not on trial, her husband is..For murder..her murder.
I'm looking forward to what comes out today.
Thanks again to all for posting tweets and anything else you do for us! Thank you @NoSI for being there and your priceless updates.

I’m surprised people who seem to have no empathy for the victim would choose to follow this case, considering what little information LE has released during 15 months. Maybe it’s morbid curiosity. MOO

She was a victim of domestic violence. I’ll cut her some slack.
I'm not disagreeing with you, if DV can be proved. What I do find at issue is, how likely would a DV victim risk their safety by having an affair? From experience, I would say that a victim of DV is less likely to put their safety at risk by doing so.

However, I do concede that a DV victim is most at risk when they decide to leave an abusive relationship.

It seems to me we heard evidence today that supports both a possible act of rage and first degree murder. I can certainly imagine that he came home early from work to “make the wife happy” and discovered communication between Suzanne and JL, or had perhaps discovered it remotely from his worksite. If so, the narcissistic injury would have produce immense rage. But the FBI info that both doors to his truck were opened simultaneously, makes it sound like he did not act on his rage immediately, but rather went somewhere in his truck with Suzanne. And returned without her, (only one truck door opened). There was time and intent between the time he got home and going wherever they went in his truck. I can’t find the post with the exact times of the simultaneous truck door openings and the later single door opening, but that window of time is looking very suspicious, in terms of silence from Suzanne’s phone/social media and likely time of death.
Poor Suzanne. My heart hurts for her and her family and dear friends.

The assertion that both the driver’s and passenger’s doors opened around the same time Saturday afternoon appeared here on WS yesterday as this was the only site I followed. And if I recall correctly, that’s where the 2:47 pm Saturday time came from.

So for hours I was thinking A HA! this proves my theory SM willingly went with BM somewhere and then he did the deed. And he came home at around 3:30 am Sunday!

But then late last night I looked over journalists’ tweets (Lauren, Ashley, Carol) and a few news station articles and couldn’t find anything referencing the significant info of the two doors opening on Saturday afternoon. I’m too lazy to search through the last thread but a reference to two doors did appear.

I truly don’t understand. She is a victim. She is as much a victim now as she was before the information about the affair was released.

or a smoking gun? - though personally, I think if SM is deceased, the m.o.d was strangulation.

Yup, me too. Will definitely look for that. Feel much better today as got some sleep. Yesterday at the end of the day didn't feel so great. But back to good again.
Hoping today is better for you and for all of us. It was hard but it’s out of the way so now maybe prosecution can get their preliminary evidence out there and get a trial date.
Thanks for being there for all of us.

This makes a lot of sense that she'd take advantage of his time away, to plan her own time away as well.
Sure sad to see how truly miserable their marriage really was.

Question I've had for a long time that I had hoped would be answered yesterday, but didn't see it addressed:

How did LE find Suzanne's bike so quickly? Could it be seen from the road? I understood it to be 10 meters down the hill IIRC? They did say yesterday there were no skid marks on the road, or sign of an accident. Please help me, what am I missing?

I fully agree with you.
