See, I disagree. I think this is another case of a small Colorado town botching a big investigation up front (think JonBenet). IMO the defense attorneys and Barry are too smug. Also if there were solid, irrefutable evidence, I don't think both girls would still be behind their dad. I think the state has very little and the defense knows it.

The judge needs to hurry the defense along on all this fluff the prosecution hasn't gotten to the reason why it's 1st degree so far they have shown a very unhappy marriage very soon they gotta get to the reason why the murder charge this decision didn't come lightly jmooo

I hate to say it and this is not what I want to happen but I'm calling it now, he's going to walk. This might go to trial, but even if it gets that far, I don't think the state has a solid case and Barry's lawyers are relentless. The DA is no match IMO.

Truth is, you don’t hide it from your children. You just think you do. They have lost their mom. They are covering for their dad. When they heard their arguments they know exactly what was said. They are in a tough spot.

I don't infer from the circumstances that the daughters are "covering" in the sense that they have information that would prove their dad killed their mom. They are probably obeying their dad's direction not to talk to investigators, issued when he concluded that his attempts to mislead them were not suceeding.

I believe SM and BM made efforts to conceal their conflict from the daughters and the local community. Any information we can speculate the daughters might have about marital conflict would be surplus IMO, in light of the recorded evidence which is much more effective. They are not likely to be called as witnesses, and like the DA I do not expect these children to turn on their parents.

IMO, anything he said to her electronically was potentially something she would show others. If he knew she wanted to leave, it's divorce court material.

On May 8, #BarryMorphew went and got Pizza at Moonlight Pizza in Salida. While he was out, #SuzanneMorphew sent a message on LinkedIn to JL saying he is gone for a bit.

They called in the CBI and FBI very quickly. There was nothing “small town” about this.

I said well Before Barry was arrested, that the daughters would support him no matter the strength of the evidence. It happens all the time.

He likely hasn't told the girls what is in there.. typical narcist will talk his way out of whatever it is. He thinks he's above the law and his attitude shows it. Many other people on trial have had the same arrogance until they were convicted.
