That I don’t know, and I’d love to know.

Do you remember that rumor early on that Barry shot Suzanne in the basement? The story was that Suzanne asked for a divorce, and Barry shot her.

It appears to be somewhat true…

I wonder about the origin of that.
Yes. Female who said she was from their hometown called a YouTuber with that story. Iirc

You’ve got me thinking about guns. The complaint says that between May 9 and March 4, Barry illegally possessed a “short rifle.”

We’ve heard of 3 searches of the house now (May, June, July), but have yet to hear about how that rifle was discovered in March of this year.

That should be interesting. What the hell happened in March?

RBBM

The only thing I can think of is that it seems to coincide with the date the PP residence sold, which I believe was in early March, 2021. House sold/papers passed on the 3rd or 4th of March, iirc.
That said, I wonder if the new owners found the short rifle hidden somewhere in the home and/or on the property shortly after they moved in and notified/turned it over to LE, therefore no longer in BM’s possession but LE’s? Would BM have been stupid enough to hide it in the home/property and then forget to grab it when he moved, or maybe his intention was to leave it behind thought he hid it well enough figured no one would ever find it? Hmmmm, curious.
Not sure if the dates are just coincidental and/or if BM would have hidden the short rifle at the home/property.
Suffice it to say, nothing would surprise me in this crazy case.

Hoping we get to hear more about it later this month.

MOO. Thats a D strategy.
E&N bring a second report from a legitimate source that uses different terminology. Then uses it to question the witness, not the report he made and was in the discovery.
E&N was able to to scramble recently learned facts from the direct before the facts were committed to long term memory in the people listening.

Note taking is the the only remedy.

Turning the phone to airplane mode does not disable GPS signal. It is still trackable via GPS, it does block calls and texts from coming in/going out, as well as, preventing the Find my Phone function from being operational.

I am so far behind. Was in the hospital for a procedure and now I am trying to catch up. The information provided by LE is unbelievable. Personally, I couldn't give a rat's 🤬🤬🤬 about Suzanne's infidelity. I had a hard time with her being elevated to sainthood; she was a flesh and blood woman. She had faults which made her human to me. It showed she had grit and was willing to fight back for any sliver of happiness she could find.

All those stops BM made eliminating evidence and he can't recall what he left behind? BM thought he was smart but I fervently thank those technology geeks and freaks (who Barry probably wouldn't give the time of day to) who have mapped the labyrinth of his final destruction of Suzanne.

I'm speechless about the darts. One dart cap was found but that doesn't mean he only used one on Suzanne. I could see him easily using them again and again, keeping her alive until he figured out what he was going to do with her.

I keep getting this unsettled feeling that he didn't actually kill her, that he had her sitting in the passenger side of his truck, barely conscious while he drove around looking for her final destination.

As much as I think BM is a despicable human being I don't think he dismembered SM. It seems like dismembered parts of bodies are just as likely to be found as is a whole body and the odds are greater since there are more locations to discover. I don't think he buried her either. There's a lot of rocky terrain in Colorado which would be incredibly difficult to dig in. Even digging a hole under a tree to bury someone would be extremely difficult. And where the soil is good there is human habitation. Apparently, there are so many different types of soil in Colorado that have been catalogued any vestiges of it found on BM's clothing or utensils could be pinpointed to specific locations. Perhaps BM being in the digging business would know that.

I have no idea if her body will ever be found but I feel the evidence shown today and at trial is going to be enough to bury HIM.

Me too! It would make for a dramatic closing for the prosecution at the end of the trial. Especially if she wrote things about him being unstable, his temper, controlling behavior, misuse of her inheritance and being scared of him! I mean I’ve heard of 50 ways to leave your lover (slip out the back Jack, make a new plan Stan) but if Suzanne took the time to write down FIFTY as in literally 5-0 reasons she wanted a divorce from Barry then that would be a very good thing to leave fresh in the jurors minds as they go to deliberate Barry’s fate. And like Suzanne speaking from the grave in a way. She had 50 reasons to leave but 2 even more important reasons she stayed? And they are supporting their Dad. It’s so sad. MOO
Is the list something that can be entered into evidence in the trial? Would it be hearsay?

Also, could you fire a dart from a short rifle?

I think charminglane is correct about an air rifle/air gun being used to shoot tranquiliser darts. I was reading about it, and it seems you need a special tranquiliser gun or a large bore air rifle.

I thought of that too, but the last selfie was her in a swimsuit, right?

We don't know what Suzanne was wearing. Our insider posted last night that when the picture was shown in court, it showed her face as her hair covered her shoulders wear the bathing suit straps would be.

It seems like such a waste of energy for BM to have driven all over Broomfield depositing trash when he and Suzanne had a large dumpster nearby that they were able to walk to and converse with a nice cleaning lady. All those stops he made and to think he totally forgot how close that dumpster was. o_O

What do you think is the most damning information of the day? The hours long trips to dispose of trash at multiple sites? The dart cap found in the clothes dryer? Barry’s car present where the bike was “found”? The fact that no one ever again heard from Suzanne after Barry came home? Something else?
Wondering because I also doubt BM was familiar with laundry. Would this cap have been a thingy that gets hung up in the dryer lint trap or in general drying load? I ask because as a family of 4 I am the only one who knows the lint trap and hazards lol
Dbm duplicate ugh sorry!

I read the dart cap was found in the dryer lint trap.

I never thought about that, and I wonder why he was rummaging through the garbage there. Getting rid of evidence, maybe?

That clothing must have been what Suzanne was wearing the day he murdered her, JMO.
Possibly looking for evidence he left there by mistake? Phone cord? who knows.

Eh I share my Cloud. I don’t think that any of my family members are capable of seeing much besides photos and saved docs. I enabled my iPad to share my iMessages, which means that anyone looking at my iPad can see what I am texting on my iPhone with another iMessage user. I don’t think Suzanne would have allowed that in settings. IMO, they had a toxic relationship, with little trust. Suzanne was using alternative means of contacting others, out of the norm. It remains to be seen how careful she was.
I have ipad, Apple watch and iPhone and I don't use iCloud, so I was curious if everyone who shared an iCloud account had access to everything in the cloud, or is that not how it works?

That's the reason for my post. I don't know but was curious if that's how sharing an iCloud works.

It’s really difficult to form a logical and coherent reason for Barry’s behavior and movements. I’m interested too see how the defense explains all of it in a way that makes any kind of sense.

I doubt the defense will touch it with a ten foot pole.

They don't have to make sense of the evidence. All they have to do is poke enough holes in it to provide reasonable doubt. Like they are trying to do in the Prelim Hearing.

Look at how some people feel about Suzanne and the man she loved (JL). If they can grab a juror who feels that way, they may be able to instill reasonable doubt that Suzanne is even deceased. And that is all it will take. One juror.

BM hired a couple of astute attorneys. It is going to be a heck of a trial. imo

So do I. Would be nice!

A large bore tranquilizing dart for a chipmunk at 50 feet? He might of had a blow gun.

  • #878
I'm thinking that they asked general questions concerning his use of a tranquilizer gun and the materials that he uses. Since that line of questioning might have caught him off guard, he didn't know why they were asking these questions and what they may have found. That might be why he confessed to disposing of the tranquilizer material.

I think that he made sure to split up the damning evidence into different bags and put into different dumpsters. So, if one thing was found, all wouldn't be found.

As I am reading about what he has done, it seems to me that he has used bits from several criminals. He stripped the bedding like Chris Watts. He got rid of Suzanne's possessions like Scott Peterson. He disposed of crime evidence like Dulos and Frazee. He disposed of the body like Josh Powell.

I think that there was no way that Barry was letting Suzanne and her money go. Just the thought of her enjoying her life with another man and using her inheritance money as part of her happiness probably enraged him. He'd rather see her dead.

Of course, he doesn't feel guilty. He blames her. He's the victim. That's how all narcissists think. She made him do it.

JMO.

I agree and I would have loved to see his face when LE asked about the tranquilizer cap. He was probably afraid they knew way more than they actually did. I bet he started sweating big time.

Thanks again to everyone who posted tweets today.

So they found it in June, and Libler in November.
Thanks
Exactly, this is very bothersome for me. He just "pretends" life goes on as normal? Wow..

I thought so, but now I wonder seeing as he got rid of so much in Broomfield. Would he be so dumb as to throw something away at the Poncha Market? Why yes, indeed!
