Do you think they went back with the second search warrant to find the spy pen?
Maybe. They may have found out it existed from an interview and then went to find it.

"On May 9, phone is pinged near the river behind his home. Investigators asked why this..."

11:50am to 12:50pm

What was he doing?

BM left the home at 1:38 p.m. SM sends a message to Libler saying "Guess who is alone again?? at 2:03

I'm stumped on this. Any takers on what he was doing??

I don't mean looking for a dead turkey.
:0)

I'm not familiar at all with the river behind the home so don't know if it's navigable by raft, kayak, etc. I don't even know if they owned any of those things but I'm wondering if it's possible he went and prepared a burial spot somewhere downriver?

The Judge overruled and allowed this exhibit! Crazy. IMO

Defense exhibit 🤬🤬🤬: Another copy of cellebrite report. Neilsen is speaking about the precision value of this data. (more up to date program) The state is objecting this foundation because the exhibit doesn't say who's phone the data came from or a number.
Ok. It is more accurate but doesn't show whose phone it is? That is less accurate.
If she means the locations, Barry already said he was running around the house.
D trying to put toothpaste back in the tube.

Great thoughts! Suzanne initiating contact with an old high school fling, meeting up in motel rooms and exchanging naked selfies with the father of 6, isn’t going to sit well with everyone. Will it be enough for one juror to give BM a pass? In my opinion, testimony from a first hand witness saying that BM ‘smacked’ Suzanne around and was physically abusive, will cancel out any sympathies that BM is generating.

I don't know, but it did occur to me that, if my understanding is correct, CO allows lesser included charges. So if the jury hangs up on First Degree - which it could, due to the photos being sent right before her demise - the Judge could issue instructions for Second Degree.

I don't think he'll reduce the charge or give Barry bail, but if it comes down to 1-2 jurors holding out for 2nd degree, I do think it's a possibility that in the end, that could be the conviction. But there would still be the additional charges...including the felony gun possession and the others. And I do not think the judge will give Barry the light side of that sentence - so he's going to the Big House for a good long 12-16 years in addition to time served, IMO. Maybe not LWOP, but still a good long time.

I do hope there's a first hand witness to some of the physical abuse. We shall see. I am not optimistic. I think Barry rarely slapped her and did not beat her. I think he terrorized her and as we have seen, he was in fact capable of murder. I wonder if the affair gave her motivation and courage (but boy do I wish she really had just moved out and run off with the guy - right now I'm thinking the guy really didn't want that, though).

If they can show BM found a “cute girl in Salida” for a night it will hurt him. So will 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I think. I just don’t see him as containing himself.

He knows it too if you go by the way he quickly straightened up in his chair when the Ashley Madison and Celeb Jihab sites were brought up as part of his search history.

I posted many threads ago my similar thoughts about him not “containing himself.” His personality traits lend me to believe that it will be disclosed he had an unhealthy sexual aptitude. He is too vain and full of himself IMO, that he probably walks around thinking he is superior among men and any woman should consider herself lucky if he shows interest in them or has a sexual encounter with him. <barf!> His confidence definitely stems from his outward image.

How deep do those darts penetrate? Could it hit an artery?

Yes. Of course it could hit an artery (the ones in the neck are the first ones I thought of). And I did wonder if he first just pushed her down, and put the gun right next to her neck. If the tranquilizer got directly into the bloodstream, everything goes faster (but it's not going to cause arterial spurting any more than a needle into an artery would do. IMO).

400 tours, 200 square miles, 85 chipmunks
BM movements on the 9th and 10th are comparable to a covert military operation.
Edit to correct date

I know, it's driving me crazy too!
Maybe washing off a sheet before he put it in his washer?
There was no turkey. Just like there was no chipmunk. No bike ride.

I think he did have affairs and that may be left until trial to explore. Discovery may not be complete, IUKWIM.

I think he had more than one affair. I think that will come into evidence at some point. I agree his main source of ego-fuel is his own appearance, but now, he's probably going to throw himself (like EARONS) into looking like a beaten, crippled man who was driven to crazy behavior by a beautiful cheating wife (who also had some claim to the purse strings). I think they'll find he had an AM account, and a Tinder account as well. Buried in all those terabytes of data is that information...it'll come.

How deep is this river? Could this be where he took Suzanne to drown her after he incapacitated her with the dart?

I don't think Barry said he was shooting chipmunks with darts. He just said he was shooting them (probably w/.22) - to explain his movements around the house, rather than explaining the darts/tranquilizer.

jmoo

I agree. He said he was shooting them w a .22. Side note: who starts shooting chipmunks immediately upon getting home?! His cell phone tracking shows him going around the house like a mad man. Never relaxed. Just straight to shooting munks? Doubtful.

I wasn’t aware she had talked with Mallory. I’ve had the impression Mallory was a daddy’s girl anyway. I’m a bit disappointed that Macy told investigators she never saw physical abuse after advising her mom to get a restraining order. Why would she tell her mom to do that if she hadn’t seen the abuse? I would think instead she would try to be the peacemaker.

My impression she said “I didn’t see none.” Meaning, I didn’t see any but doesn’t it mean it didn’t happen, I know they fight type of a deal. Those daughters are victims of his abuse they are the collateral damage of BM. I mean, BM literally shunned MG for talking to law enforcement can imagine what he said to his daughters to make sure they didn’t talk to them. Heart just breaks for them.

So this offers a bit more clarity on the tranquilizer situation:

During questioning in November of 2021, Barry indicated he was shooting chipmunks. Grusing asked him if he was using a .22 gauge rifle, which he said was important because investigators found a tranquilizer dart cap in the Morphew’s dryer, and knew that a .22 gauge would also fire that. Barry confirmed it was the .22 he was using to shoot chipmunks.

Prosecutors Outline Barry And Suzanne Morphew's Movements On Days Around Her Disappearance

November 2021 ?

Also paragraph 2 the year can’t be right:

In September of 2020, Suzanne’s best friend, Shelia Oliver advised Suzanne that she should begin tucking away money to be able to live on her own. At some point, Suzanne set up a secret Green Dot bank account as well as an account with a fund management company, Compass Management. The FBI agent on the stand, Ken Harris, said he didn’t follow up on these accounts.

We need to send Jamie a calendar.

Maybe. They may have found out it existed from an interview and then went to find it.
It was reported that S.O. told LE about it. She helped Suzanne acquire it. They got a search warrant and found it in her closet.
This is how LE found out about J.

The river soon ends in a dam and a big retaining pond. That pond and that dam-trap were searched. Would be a bad place to put any major large evidence. Small stuff that can get through the dam-trap, then it's a good place to put it.

IMO.

No one rafts there, as it's not deep/exciting enough but I suppose people could play in it or kayak in it - but there's a dam nonetheless.

As to her bank accounts, surely someone has followed up since the charge were filed??
