So I just had a thought:

According to yesterday’s testimony, Barry brought up the excuse of shooting chipmunks, to explain his phone movements around the time Suzanne is believed to have been murdered.

He waited an astounding 9 months to reveal this to investigators.

Now, we know a tranquilizer cap was found in the dryer, and one dart from a pack of 4 was missing (Carol McKinley tweet I posted earlier).

The FBI agent was interested in what weapon Barry was using to hunt chipmunks, as he knew that a 22 could fire those tranquilizers.

Interestingly, the “short rifle” charge is dated between May 9, and March 4 of the following year.

I think this tranquilizer shooting 22 rifle, may in fact be the “short rifle” in the weapons charge.

It’s interesting that the chipmunk story and weapon charge date is so close in time.
That's an excellent thought. LE didn't find the short rifle until after the PP house was sold which was March 3rd. It had to be there and they found it or the new owner turned it in to LE. This was probably the gun he used. I think you're right!

I want to say stashing the tranquilizer gun for his return a few minutes later but I was watching the drone video of pp, and the area where SM was sunbathing on the backside of the house with lounge chairs, hot tub, etc. is pretty self-contained with the rockery landscape.

Nonetheless, I don't think I'm sold yet on the prosecution's theory that BM just got out of the truck with a 22 rifle equipped with a tranquilizer and chased her down behind the house, zig-zagging for 3 minutes, where he found her sunbathing. That sounds crazy to me and too much effort when BM could easily overpower SM and inject her. I definitely need more data here!
However if he had stashed it there and was checking on it....
Hmmm...

But would he need a whole hour?
Maybe he was check on his cams too--watching her..
Wasn't she afraid of cams in the garage--BM watching her coming and going? The garage worry of hers is in a tweet.
Hmmm...

Seriously , JL must of felt so scared the day he heard she was missing.
Somehow . Somewhere... we need to give him that.
I mean. Wow as time went by...just heart wrenching reality sadness for him .

MOO
Perhaps he was sad. But I can't overlook his cowardice. He had valuable testimony to offer, but chose to try to preserve his own wellbeing instead. When Andy came to search, he was looking for a dead Suzanne. Not one that ran off to Ecuador, even through all that he remained silent. So how much did he really love Suzanne?

The reboot is supposed to have happened after BM returned home -- most likely wiping out where he traveled after allegedly shooting her behind the house with the tranquilizer. I believe the truck does not leave again until after 3 AM.

I know disconnecting the battery to be true in my own vehicle as this will require me to reprogram my seats, radio, etc.. I haven't checked but the F-350 is pretty powerful and may even have two battery power sources (and probably two gas tanks). MOO
Last night I did extensive research on "can I disable my gaps data by disconnecting my battery?"

God forbid I ever end up dead, my google is filled with the craziest stuff!! Lol!!

Anyway, the stuff I was finding out was unbelievable. Yes that's exactly what you can do. However, as you said other things are going to have to be reprogrammed. And I would think that the truck would document all those things being reprogrammed.

So that gives me such an eerie feeling all the research he did ahead of time to know that he could do this... Creepy creepy creepy......

BAM on @MassGuy !!!!

It makes a lot of sense, caliber wise - also, it's supposed to be used for "up close" shooting. Easy to conceal under a jacket. Would be lovely if there were traces of tranquilizer chemicals in it.

Indeed, there has to be a reason that the gun was mentioned in a separate chart. Barry probably thought they couldn't trace it because, um, he had changed states. While he's cagey, he's smart only in the opportunistic way of an antisocial person (which often overlaps with narcissism). He doesn't read and study and know things.
But, why leave it?

Regarding tranquilizer darts ..... they do not have to be shot from an air gun or similar device. Consider their design ..... they work the same if they are simply stabbed.

Every one of these tweets say walking when BM is outside.
Was the chasing around inside the house?

https://twitter.com/shellybradbury/status/1425188980316807171?s=21

Grusing testifies that Barry told CBI he went home and had lunch with Suzanne on May 9, but that cell records show he actually walked around their home towards a nearby trailer park at that time. He later told the FBI he was looking for turkeys.

Morphew also returned to the house that day around 2:45 p.m., and Grusing has testified that cell phone data appeared to show Morphew walking around the outside of the residence. When questioned about it, Morphew said he likes to shoot chipmunks and might have been doing that.
https://twitter.com/shellybradbury/status/1425198101413830660?s=21

At the time he was allegedly walking around, Suzanne Morphew was at the house sunbathing and sending selfies to her lover.

Defense attorney Dru Nielsen points out that the timing of the GPS locations on the phone would have required Morphew to move around 40 mph to get from one spot to the other. She implies it's imprecise GPS data and that Morphew did not walk around the house.

The reboot was at 5:33 pm on Saturday. That would indicate that he went somewhere in broad daylight, that he wanted to hide. Do you think this is when he dumped her body? And the rest of the events were getting rid of evidence?
We know he was at Dressing around 2:00.
^^bbm

Yes, all this during daylight hours! o_O

The State's theory is SM is sunbathing behind the house, takes a selfie, and sends it to JL at 2:03pm.

BM phones/texts SM and says he's on his way home. BM arrives home at 2:44 and for 3 minutes, races around the back of the house allegedly chasing SM to gun her down, using a 22 rifle equipped with the tranquilizer. At 2:47, BM puts his phone in airplane mode. [Several months later, BM confirms he was behind the house at this time shooting chipmuncks].

The truck doesn't move until 4:44pm when the driver's door closes. [don't know if the truck moves after sitting for 2 hours].

The driver door opens again at 5:33pm, and then the power system is removed/system reboots. I presume the reboot wipes the memory but this is speculation only.

IMO, it sounds just as crazy that BM drives home from town (warning SM that he's on his way) and goes straight to the back of the house and begins shooting rodents, as it does going straight to shooting his wife! I'm gonna need better than this!

At 2:47 his phone goes into airplane mode Suzanne got messages after 2:47 from Libler but did not respond. No movement of truck until 4:44 pm - driver door closes and driver door opens 5:33 pm - power removed system reboot on truck - not sure what caused this action

Truck was at residence at 2:44 pm and door opens. Phone moves around the house in a ‘pattern’ according to coordinates. Barry confirms the movement of cellphone around exterior of house from 2:44 to 2:47. Barry says ‘I shoot chipmunks’ ‘I’ve shot 82’. He was using a 22.

Grusing theory that #BarryMorphew did something to Suzanne when he got home at 2:44pm. Ran around the house and was ‘most likely chasing Suzanne while she is conscious’. Nielsen: how would this be possible? He is traveling at 30 mph?

Do we know who the guests were and when they were arriving?
One of the daughters was coming home from their camping trip in Utah with a friend on Sunday, the day she was reported missing.

I don’t know much about guns or the type of gun BM used during the chipmunk incident but wouldn’t it be loud enough for neighbors to hear BM shoot them? I would imagine he shot more than 1 time.

Remember Nielsen said the affidavit states that there is an opinion that BM was “most likely chasing Suzanne around” and had Grusing point out that neighbors heard no unusual noises around that time.

If the neighbors heard no noise during that time, then I would think BM wasn’t shooting chipmunks!

As far as what happened after Barry tranquilized her (I’m convinced this is the state’s theory), I think there are two likely possibilities:

He immediately suffocated or strangled her.

He drowned her in the hot tub.

I think the next session should make it clear if chlorine factors in at all, which would increase the odds of the second option being the case.
I’m of the opinion right now he tranquilized her and after the chase put her in the hot tub to drown (subject to change as always). In this way, he in his sociopathic mind, did not actually kill her outright as he didn’t have to hold her down physically because she was so incapacitated. Although I do feel he sat there and made sure she would not get out. I am thinking because he was so religious, killing another human would be frowned upon by “his maker”. In this way he does not feel the guilt of taking her life with his own hands directly.

If what is true from spa store employees, between 4-5:30 he then made his way calmly to the pool store to get the chemicals to erase what had happened. He could only do this if he had somehow convinced himself that all of this was done “to save one life”. Crazy but I can’t see how else he could move on and do the next things he did to continue his plan. Hopefully we will hear more on this in a few weeks. All JMO.

If they can show BM found a “cute girl in Salida” for a night it will hurt him. So will 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I think. I just don’t see him as containing himself.

I don't think it's going to have a bearing on a conviction. Being unfaithful isn't a crime. Neither is 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 unless it involves children. And I wouldn't be surprised if BM has a long list of women he's hooked up with for one night stands over the years. Tacky? Sure. Criminal? Nah. Plus there's the goose/gander element of this case since SM had an affair, a long lasting one. And so far, the only one proven.

I would not want a juror to convict BM because he's a doosh. Just like I don't want an acquittal because SM had an affair.

The key word is "unusual". Where they lived, gunshot sounds were NOT necessarily unusual. It was rural with a lot of acreage between homes.

But, didn't he arrived home twice? One earlier where he sends a text that he's coming home, supposed to have lunch with her-- but instead he's out in the trees and the creek doing something.

He leaves.

She sends a text saying "look who is alone again??"

The second one coming home is @ 2:43.59 and he catches her off guard.

Anyway I think that is right...

I think he was more concerned for his own skin at that point. Shock, guilt, fear of exposure and losing his family.
“Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!”

My impression she said “I didn’t see none.” Meaning, I didn’t see any but doesn’t it mean it didn’t happen, I know they fight type of a deal. Those daughters are victims of his abuse they are the collateral damage of BM. I mean, BM literally shunned MG for talking to law enforcement can imagine what he said to his daughters to make sure they didn’t talk to them. Heart just breaks for them.
BM definitely knows how to manipulate a situation in his favor. I am sure he has made them believe he is all they have.

I have a question about this 4-5:30 time... Everything LE does is almost down to the second why did they say he arrived 4 to 5:30? that is a huge gap.

Or did they just give enough information to leave the rest for the trial??
