Things may get a whole lot worse for JL. The FBI may have cleared him but the Defense may try to pin something on his “angry “ family.

https://twitter.com/russellhaythorn/status/1424850415296802832?s=21

Defense argues FBI hasn't interviewed anyone connected to man Suzanne was having an affair with, Jeff Libler. Defense: Mr. Libler's daughter and brother knew about affair, but have never been interviewed by FBI. Defense appears to be introducing possibility of alternate suspects.
That will be easy to disprove though, as long as their electronic trail shows them nowhere near Salida. The last person to see Suzanne alive was her husband, Barry Morphew!! He himself admits that he saw her at 5am Sunday, May 10th. The last time anyone heard from Suzanne was minutes after her husband got home on May 9th. Then POOF. She disappeared off the face of the planet. Barry was driving around at 3:30am. There is way too much circumstantial evidence to dance around, folks. That’s all she wrote!

Lol. And for 11 minutes, he did work on the job that he left super early for.

It’s almost as if he was just trying to form an alibi…

Since Morgan first spoke, I knew this alibi was going to collapse. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would be anything this hilarious though.

I still find it ironic that Barry condescendingly referred to Puckett in very negative social terms (instantly slandering him publicly about how he's a meth head and an ex con), and yet...

it was Puckett who nailed Barry's Broomfield job on the spot, as an alibi.

Well played indeed, JP.

As far as what happened after Barry tranquilized her (I’m convinced this is the state’s theory), I think there are two likely possibilities:

He immediately suffocated or strangled her.

He drowned her in the hot tub.

I think the next session should make it clear if chlorine factors in at all, which would increase the odds of the second option being the case.

Totally agree, I think the same. I was leaning toward the strangulation vs. drowning simply because it's messier. More to clean up if she is wet. I reconsidered it with the number of times it's been mentioned, the "supposed" text from SM asking to get Hot Tub Supplies and then hearing BM made a call asking someone to come out and fix it.

Seriously , JL must of felt so scared the day he heard she was missing.
Somehow . Somewhere... we need to give him that.
I mean. Wow as time went by...just heart wrenching reality sadness for him .

MOO
Not scared enough. Not trying to be cold but obviously it didn't bother him enough to come forward.

So, He stated the he shot 83 chipmunks. IIAC. All with darts? That means the neighbors would have heard , at least, 83 shots. Ok, he used a gun. I think the the hit ratio of
a chipmunk to be 1 out of 3, if your a good shot. So the neighbors would of had to hear 83 x 3 shot?, however may that is. Apparently , 1 shot was heard. Why would you shoot one with a tranquilizing dart?

If Suzanne was murdered at PP, then why the tranquilizer?

Big, strong guy he could have incapacitated her swiftly--

Of course it's possible that he liked the thrill of the hunt.... just gross....

But it seems to me that the purpose of the dart must've been to prevent cadaverine...

Does LE have vehicle tracking for his run to the pool store? Somewhere there's 18 missing minutes/ miles, right?

Perhaps he brought Suzanne to a location... where he murdered her.... and from which he reclaimed her during the night for his planned disposal...

Dulos brought zipties. Which suggests he planned to subdue and abduct Jennifer, to kill her elsewhere.

Barry, tranquilizer.

Same playbook?

I know this thread isn't about JL but no. Just no. I don't have it in me to have compassion for a man who cheats on his wife, the mother of his 6 children, with anyone, for any reason. That kind of betrayal destroys entire families, kids included, in-laws become outlaws and lives are shattered & broken forever. So no. JL gets no sympathy from me.

I absolutely hear you.
I was cheated on and had my entire world destroyed.
I was just trying to come from a place of a person
you cared for being here—- then they were gone.
And of actually knowing -WHY- they may be gone.
That’s all.

Honestly, the same can be said about Suzanne. It took us five minutes to find photos of JL and his family so Suzanne must have known his situation. Did she think it was okay to move to a foreign country and for him to abandon his children, some of whom are far from adulthood? It’s not like there would be a shared custody agreement in Ecuador. I think this was a romp, a distraction, without any actual endgame. Suzanne was not a saint. But Barry is a murderer.

Totally agree. Just saying the nightmare isn’t over for JL and family since the Defense has already brought this “theory” up. One more horrible thing he could have prevented. JMO

I'm just imagining even one-third of 83 chipmunks dazed and staggering around Barry's yard. Why indeed would one tranquilize them?

How will he explain driving around at 3:30 am when he claims he left SM in bed at 5 am?

Hmmmm…

Yes, ITA. Macy's statement that she never saw physical abuse contradicts how she apparently encouraged her mother to get a restraining order and divorce. Very odd, yet again, I think Macy is thinking ahead with the "what if's" ex. BM not going to prison. She backpedaled for her safety "just in case." JMO

It's entirely possible it's not contradictory at all.
It is VERY possible she never once saw her dad physically abuse her mom, but after convos with her mom about what was going on, offered her advice about what mom should do.

Just trying to give the girls the benefit of the doubt.

I went down this road before and it was explained to me-he supposedly shot chipmunks with the 22, not with tranquilizer darts. Still though that’s over 80 shots if you’re perfect. Neighbors would have heard the mad chipmunk killer.

You wouldn’t, but I don’t think that was his claim; I think he was saying that he shot chipmunks (with his 22 using standard ammunition).

You would never shoot one with a tranquilizer dart, and you sure as hell wouldn’t shoot dozens of them with that.

First off, these things are controlled. It’s almost certainly illegal for him to own tranquilizer in the first place.

Secondly, that would be impractical.

Those darts do not have the accuracy of a bullet, and it would almost certainly be fatal to an animal that size (they’re meant for much larger creatures).

Regardless, this didn’t happen. Liar liar, pants on fire.

I don’t think BM meant he shot 83 or 85 chipmunks in one day, y’all

  • #498
What I was trying to point out is that if Barry did indeed have one-night stands, it would make Suzanne's affair less likely to be an issue for that one juror.

That makes sense. Sorry I misinterpreted your comment.

Arrested May 5th
FBI showed him 26 exhibits on April 5
FBI talked to him April 22 about the forgery/ ballot fraud

I might have those April days backwards

MOO

I am surprised that after seeing 26 exhibits on April 5th that he didn’t just disappear.

But I guess he thought he had all the bases covered in his cover up.

Also he had to wait for the darned house money to come through. You can’t run away and be a pauper.

How about hiking boot shoe laces instead of zip ties?
