Found Deceased CO - Suzanne Morphew, 49, Chaffee County, 10 May 2020 #72 *ARREST*

I am wondering if Barry was potentially suicidal on 5/8 & 5/9. She made it clear she was done.

5/8:
“I’m done I could care what you’ve been up to for years. We just need to figure this out civilly," she texted her husband on the morning of May 8.

"I promise you are wrong about all the crazy thoughts about me," he texted at around 3:52 p.m. that day. "Only a fool would stray from an angel like you. When I”m dead, which won’t be long, you guys will be taken care of.”

Potentially, he/she sleep it off and he wakes up under the illusion things are going to be ok. If they were both in the house maybe they slept separate and the cap was in the dryer from the bed he slept in. He couldn’t go through with taking his own life.

Then she turns him down on the hike request. His ego is taking another beating.
She isn’t giving into him and he potentially considers taking his own life again and walks down by the river after lunch as the possible location. He then gets himself back out of his mental state and goes to check on the job at 1:38 and run other errands.
Then he comes home to find her chatting and sending photos to her lover. He is now in rage and kills her on the spot with everything after that being to cover up his crime.
Anyhow, just a random thought on how this could fit together if there was a history of manipulation and/or domestic violence based on what little I have picked up on the case the last week.

BM's father died at age 60, which is not that old. And I vaguely remember CM on one of his Interview Room YouTube releases saying that BM believed that he would also die young. IIRC, CM got that info when he traveled to Indiana and spoke with people who knew BM or at least knew him when he was younger.

If what CM reported is true, then I don't think it can be taken as a given that when BM texts something like that, he is talking about suicide.

ETA: I do still think it is emotional manipulation and that is abusive.

Only two LE officers testified Monday, right? If either one or prosecutor alleged BM killed SM in a rage, I missed it. Entirely possible, as I’ve missed some MSM & tweets and some posts here. Whose stmt did reporter refer to here? An actual quote, attributed to a named individual? A link? Anyone?

Prosecutor's Murder in the First Degree Complaint against BM alleged “… Barry Lee Morphew unlawfully, feloniously, after deliberation, and with the intent to cause the death of a person other than himself, caused the death of Suzanne Renee Morphew;..." ** Nothing about rage here.

That abc story is full of errors - they allege the “I’m done” text was May 8 when everyone else has it May 6. Also the BM walk by the river Lauren has as 11:50am to 12:50 am which is impossible it’s 12:50 pm and I think he used that to stash the camo coat and the dart weapon

The picture I am looking for shows her apple iwatch clearly. I searched the birthday video and the 6 month anniversary one, but I'm starting to think I'm crazy cuz it's not in either of those but I know i saw it somewhere. Driving myself crazy over it.

Journalism is no longer edited or fact-checked. And much of what is published is just click bait. I used to be a journalist so it saddens me to have to say this.

I do think all the journos in the prelim tried their best to tweet words as spoken but it's a difficult task. Sooooo....until we have the AA, we can get a good idea of what's true but composing our own AA with it is problematic without a proviso that it is "as reported" info only.

Our water co. (not in CO) offers similar service, for users to monitor for leaks and/or cost.

Waaay back when, posts discussed whether PP was serviced by municipal water lines or had a well, or both. Iirc the conclusion was well only, verified thru a CO. state agency.

But PP's usage info may be available. For private wells, owners can buy a meter like this, for ex.

I understand why you'd have that impression but I'm fairly certain we will learn that BM had been making similar [suicide] threats to SM as far back as 20 years ago! It's a very typical reaction from somebody like BM that's obsessed with control. I believe it always worked for him. Except for this time was different: SM was standing firm. MOO

On May 6, SM put it to BM that she was done, and only asked for civility from BM.

They'd been in this position countless times before, and BM reacted in a manner that had been typical of him-- for decades.

Except for this time, SM was not being typical.

Three days later, SM was still standing firm!

Since her May 6 announcement, she'd gained only strength -- drafting 50 reasons to leave, and even reaching out to her sister. There was no turning back.

SM was enjoying the sunshine on her shoulders that afternoon, feeling, believing, better memories were ahead.

You're not crazy. It was an up-close photo (I think it was one of the photos of her on her bike) and the big watch was quite prominent. I remember a still photo, but maybe it was a video. I KNOW I saw it too.

For me it would be one or both of the daughter's verifying that. I want to think they would not lie about it. Outside of that I agree there is likely no way.

IMO, the daughters would say what their father told them. I don't believe that she stole $70,000. The only way that I would believe it if it ended up in her secret bank account, which hasn't been touched, btw.

Oh thank heavens! I was really starting to wonder! I watched the videos I am aware of which include the short on PE for the 6th month missing and the birthday video from her friend. It's definitely 100% not in either of those.

Well done ! It looks like a shadow of one ! I’ve been obsessing about the Fitbit or smart watch since the beginning !

also regarding their carrier for cell - if it’s Verizon - I have that and can log in and see all the calling and texting history for all the phones on my plan- it includes duration and time stamps too- so if someone wanted to know cell history on their plan it’s easy enough to see if you have access at the manager level. I believe the hearing mentioned Verizon
