Did you notice in the final row of photos the one of the two bobcats? Wonder if they were hanging around to gobble up some dead chipmunks or dead turkeys that somebody not very careful about attracting wildlife left lying about.
I kind of wonder how the moose managed to escape his tall tales.

TOTALLY AGREE - IMO there was NEVER $70k in that safe. Barry is really good at setting up a narrative and manipulating situations - we have seen a pattern that shows this type of behavior with him. I am trying to remember how much he received in PPE loans - Is he setting himself up for when the gov't (hopefully)comes back to collect that PPE money he received ? Barry can then say "Well gosh darn it, I had the money... But don't you know my missing wife stole it out of the safe to run off! " This is just another scam he is running with this $70k missing idea. He sees an opening and he capitizes on it. He first accused LE of stealing it. But wouldn't LE have an inventory/record of what was in the safe when they took the safe just to protect themselves? Think probabilities, this possiblities: It is possible the money was there but what is more probable given his scamming, cunning behavior. I vote for his scamming ways. Once again IMO

Nope, there was never any money in that safe. JMO. Who keeps $70,000 in a safe in the garage anyway? The lying liar lies. All the time.

The last I read at WS was about $56,000 in PPE loans, but I could be wrong. Seems it would be a lot higher than that figure. Nine employees? Who are they? I'd like to know.

The Friday before Mother's Day, my sister had sent me a text message that morning. It was very lengthy. It was very powerful. It was very revealing,' Melinda said. 'She had been ready to share some things close to her chest. She said she was scared.'

Suzanne Morphew's sister says 'murdered' Colorado mom and 'killer' husband had money problems | Daily Mail Online

knowing what we now know - what was she scared of? Had she stumbled across information about him ? or was he threatening her about something specific? I know with verizon I was able to actually see the contents of text messages when chatting with a customer service rep online - as long as I did not use them in a legal proceeding. Was the husband accessing her actual text messages? We now know he texted her that morning - what changed for SM?

5/8
7:02 am SM writes list of 50 reasons why she wanted to leave marriage on Notes
9:28 am SM texts sister: BM abusive physically and emotionally.
10:55 am BM texts SM I Love You, Suzanne

Friday night: BM Moonlight Pizza
(still hunting for the picture with the smartwatch - sure looks like a tan line in the picture from DM article)
ETA picture

Sorry, I am new to this........But I think SM was scared of revealing the truth that she was having an affair.

I actually thought that his first plan was to kill her during a hike. Then, he thought better of it because it would be harder to move her body. So, he decided to do it at home. I think that he planned to use the dart gun in either scenario.

JMO.
I think this as well. The big question is how did he take her to her final resting place? That’s why I keep asking about the Range Rover and if it had tracking software.

Some contractors take cash payment to avoid it being reported as income and taxable. But claiming it was there and now it is gone, that's not provable, and that is why cash is not used in business.

I am an avid reader, and not so much of a poster. Admittedly, I have not read every single post on this case though. Has anyone had the thought that the pings around the house after 2:47 could have been Barry running around inside the house gathering things he needed in order to take her somewhere to harm her? He could have tranquilized her in order to take her somewhere else to finish the deed?

This makes more sense to me. I was really surprised by the statement that he chased her around the house for 3 min. I’d think there would be screaming, and evidence of a struggle. BM might’ve gotten hurt, himself.

but the prosecution believes it’s so. Maybe there will be forthcoming evidence to show that.

IMO the outcome of this case - once it gets to trial - will heavily depend upon the jurors being able to put the puzzle pieces together/connect the dots. People process information differently. Some are more left brained( logical analytical linear )
and some are more right brained ( creative intuitive emotion). The ideal juror will be a balance of the two IMO. It will be important for the prosecution to have alot of very well thought out visual aids to show the jury how the information comes together - what dot connects with the next dot etc. Without someone on the prosecution side able to weave the pieces together for the jury, in concert with the visual boards, show them how they need to eliminate the "noise" ( her affair etc) there may be a juror who just does not get it. All of this IMO.

Her affair cuts both ways. It’s powerful motive, especially with the timing of that sunbathing photo as last proof of life.

RSBM

I don't recall seeing this info before. Can you share a link to this testimony?
LE made a big issue about BM omitting his changing a "thingy on the bobcat" out of his timeline. During the preliminary, the defense emphasized this was an appointment that had been made far in advance. See LS prelim recap.

Yes totally agree. A contractor I know gives discounts on the work for cash payments. I imagine many do.
But, that cash makes its way to the bank. He keeps 10-20k in the safe he says in case one of his kids gets into trouble and needs bail money :). Once again - it is possible he had 70k in there, but I don't find it probable IMOO

How many meth heads did this guy employ? Is it possible one of them went to his house on Mother's day and caused Suzanne's demise?
He'd like everybody to believe that. If not that, there's always the mountain lion. Or the abductor. Or Barry.

I just got a visual of the prosecution starting the trial with an empty frame on an easel and each time they make a salient point, they insert a puzzle piece. At the closing argument they put in the last few pieces and it completes a portrait of Suzanne!

In between turning down the hike and presumably attacking her on the patio while sunbathing is that unexplained hour down by the river behind the house—not searching for a long dead turkey.

After he refused the hike, she told him to get hot tub stuff. Maybe that gave him a new idea? Maybe he was scoping out sight lines and his chances of being seen doing the deed on the back patio. Or maybe just thinking about the new logistics.

I did see one interview this week with a guy waiting to get into the preliminary hearing. He said he had worked for Barry at one time. I can’t come up with nine, but if I were a reporter, I would have gotten that guy’s contact info and tried to get an interview.

That's true. I just don't believe it was there, and that's because he's continued to lie about everything.

Tree Pod Burial

MOO - Since CM’s Webslueths video interview, there has been speculation on the importance regarding the purchase of a 50lb cornfeed bag that BM supposedly made.

Some have said BM might have dumped the cornfeed in order to use the burlap sack the feed usually is packaged in, to transport SM out of the home.

<modsnip - social media>

Couple this with the report that one of the daughter’s ex-boyfriends was threatened by BM with ‘getting buried under a tree and no one will find him’ words. BM definitely has the means to accomplish this sort of burial.

Or the river! Maybe she just got in the river.

The man truly has no shortage of ideas about how his wife disappeared.

Following drugged prey outside as it runs then stumbles around, just intervening enough to keep the prey from going inside the house to pull stuff down. MOO that wouldn't leave struggle evidence or bruises etc.

BBM - Yes you are 100 percent correct - thanks for the clarification. The "noise" about the affair, I was meaning to reference, was all the hysteria -painting her with a scarlet letter talk - character assasination. The affair is a powerful motive as you say
