yep. And the big thing I’m waiting for is if LE on the evening of May 10 even saw anything indicating if Suzanne even got up on Mother’s Day. Her morning coffee stuff, breakfast plates, lunch debris, her sleeping cloths, her day cloths, wet shower towels, ANYTHING online since maybe the FIRST thing she did on a normal morning would be check her phone and then go on the internet!
Has anyone ever asked Barry what he bought Suzanne for Mother’s Day?

I don’t remember that ever coming up.
Did he discuss Mother’s Day with the girls, does that “running late” story match up, did the girls confirm that they were supposed to be home earlier and spend the day with Mom? Was there any garbage from the previous evening’s dinner, or was every trash receptacle in the house empty? If so, why?

I seem to recall there was no Xmas gift from Scott Peterson under the tree for Lacy. That always stayed with me.

Probably amicably bc she already conceded I don’t care what you’ve been doing. I don’t know of any church granting a religious “divorce.” You can annul a religious marriage, to be able to marry again in the faith. That’s probably based on church canons and probably once a civil service marriage is terminated by a decree of divorce.
divorce happens in all denominations....Divorce is referenced in the bible....my interpretation of scripture is that it is frowned upon, but at times necessary. Suzanne was fully prepared to deal with divorce in context with her faith. It may also be that she was getting some type of counselling. I am sure she was living in emotional turmoil about attending her church while involved in an affair. One more log on the fire.....spiritual guilt.

See, that’s the huge issue I have with JLs character (putting aside being a philandering married father of 6). He had to have known intimate aspects of the M’s marriage and issues. Perhaps BM’s verbal/physical abuse. That would have been very helpful to investigators early on.

The true example of character is doing the right thing when nobody is watching. And most of the time it’s the most painful and hardest option. IMO, that tells me he wasn’t that invested in his relationship with SM.

JL DID NOTHING TO HELP FIND SUZANNE.

Amen, those first few days, weeks and then months are critical to any missing persons case. JL knew more about what was going on in the marriage than BM did. He could have shed a lot of light early on in the investigation while LE was chasing mountain lion sized fairy trails...jmo

He certainly had key information about the state of the relationship and her last contact.

I know LE was never going to actually believe the mountain lion -bicycle attack story, but it could have meant retrieving Barry's trip to Broomfield data and possibly recovering immutable physical evidence from the trash dumps.

As he does not appear to have ever contact LE on his own volition, I do find huge fault with that. It makes his emotional connection to her and the fantasy talk about marriage and such a really cheap ego-boosting hookup.

I am quite confident he will pay by having to be cross-examined on the stand. Probably as a prosecution witness of fact, or a defense cross to establish what a tart Suzanne really was, as degrading Suzanne will be a key part of their defense.

I wonder if MG worked with LE and also covertly recorded conversations between her and BM just like apparently SM’s girl friends did.

Pretty sure you are correct on the day that Barry was wearing the CCFD tshirt at Walmart. There was talk early on about footage being pulled from a Broomfield Walmart, never verified. But why would anyone make small talk about Mother’s Day on another day? It would just be odd.
I'm eagerly waiting to hear the testimony about the Broomfield Walmart. JMO, but I'm leaning towards a purchase of Chlorine there.

As far as the religion and divorce….their denomination is also against suicide, which Barry threatened. And murder.

He intentionally used her sincere faith as a weapon to control her. It’s all too common, and even normalized in many faith communities.

Barry wouldn't need to go to a carwash if he was only washing his windshield, he could do that at any gas station. I agree with past discussions that he was there to clean the undercarriage so that if any vegetation was collected by LE, it wouldn't lead back or link him to a clandestine gravesite. I believe Chris and Mike posted a pic of the carwash early on perhaps as a message to Barry that LE knew where he had been.
Not necessarily. It's not very easy to scrape bug guts off your windshield with the standard, petro station squeegee. It didn't take long for me to understand why so many Colorado residents purchase car wash memberships since it's almost a ritual to "wash the road off" the minute you reach town!

When I first heard about the car wash, and BM leaving behind what MG described as "emptying his truck bed," I wouldn't be surprised if BM prewashed the tools at the car wash before taking bleach to them in his hotel room. MOO

I was interested in the comments LS made in tonight's interview about BMs workers telling her that BM watched the trailcams at his home all the time.
Makes me wonder if he pulled them all down and then reinstalled when AM had his search.
Yes. I want to know when trailcams were first put up. One would think that’d be the first thing Barry would do after buying that nice country house. So were they working on May 9/10?

Poor SM. She had BM to contend with . JL does not sound like a rock. He deleted all traces of their relationship instead of going to the Police. This in itself is selfish. I doubt he was really going to run away with SM.

I don't think so given that BM terminated her immediately via text msg. (MG believes she was fired because she cooperated with LE and gave them her phone).

How good is the forensics team? Did Suzanne never ever place a phone call or send an email or text to Jeff? Is LinkedIn messaging super secure and untraceable? They had to know something was up with Suzanne going on the LinkedIn site constantly. It almost sounds as if Suzanne didn’t record herself on the spy pen, we would not be here discussing Jeff. Sounds like he would never have come forward on his own, and he would be living his life as if Suzanne never existed.

That's sad to think about.
I wish he would have spoken up as soon as she went missing as it was questionable circumstances.

I believe this is exactly what investigators said. They learned about the affair only through the spy pen and shared the recording with SO and another friend but neither could identify the voice of JL. LE finally identified JL following SM to LinkedIn and executed a search warrant. MOO

Pretty wild that he couldn’t remember where he was when he got word that HIS WIFE IS MISSING!
But also…his reaction at the bike site. Not “where is Suzanne, but where’s the bike.” Totally nuts!

He was never going to run away with SM, I think he just wanted the thrill of a secret sex life. It’s sad that SM bought into the fantasy, but she did and whatever she found with this guy, it wasn’t love. I feel sorry for his wife and six kids.

We don't know when or how LE challenged Barry during his 3 30 hours.... but I can imagine this:

LE: Barry, walk us through Saturday.....

BM: Listen, I got up early. Picked up MG, we raked the beach area. Came home for lunch, veggie soup. Went back to town to get hot tub supplies and do a mechanical thing on the Bobcat, was there allllll afternoon. Went back home about 4.... and had more soup with Suzanne. We had soup until bedtime.... got up early, left her asleep at 5....

LE: hmmm. Your vehicle data and surveillance video would say otherwise, that you WEREN'T doing a mechanical thing to your Bobcat for 5 hours.

BM to LS: just because I forgot the time I was doing a mechanical thing to the Bobcat....

Remember he wasn't in his right mind when LE was questioning him, having just learned that his wife was missing.

Or... to the point, Barry wasn't in anyone's right mind WHILE getting his Bobcat repaired precisely because it happened in the sliver of time between surveilling his backyard and murdering his wife.

Anyway, IMO this might be how that mechanical thingy and timing came into play, if he tried to use the repair to alibi himself for Saturday, depending on what LE showed him.
