Agent Grusing steps down from the stand. Next up is Derek Graham, Agent with CBI. He's a former CSPD officer. #BarryMorphew #SuzanneMorphew @KKTV11News

Agents asked #BarryMorphew about tranquilizer needle sheath in dryer at Morphew residence. He again says it has nothing to do with him but he hates that it was found there because it "makes him look bad" and rumors are spreading in Chaffee County so "no wonder people hate me"
No, people hate you because you hunted down and killed your wife, the mother of your children like one of your trophies on the wall!

another b.s I was seen at ....nobody drives to talk face to face with a owner.. and who gets prices on a repair ..it is under 100 per hr for the frikin millionair ....the phone is the smart way...add covid ..why go face to face .....don't buy anything? no brainer ---alibi
He always had to be busy doing something. I believe he would drive there. It fits his personality and SM said he was always gone somewhere. He never stops.

Did Barry have an accomplice after all? And isn't it odd his DNA hasn't shown up on anything, cable wires, helmet, dart sheath, etc. when it so obviously could/should have been?
I’ve always wondered about someone helping him after the murder. And no prints or DNA because he surely wore gloves. And as for tire tracks not matching couldn’t he have just thrown the helmet 50 feet from the road? Was the helmet found 50 feet or 50 yards from the highway? 50 yards is about 150 feet but couldn’t a big, strong former baseball player manage that?

But aren't they proceeding chronologically?
I agree they are going on order and whatever happened in the spring of 2021 was what finally lead to his arrest. I think those interviews and things he did after like selling the property and money stuff is what they finally caught him in lies or something like that.

This was days later too.
That's true. I had been of the opinion BM forgot to plant the helmet at the time he planted the bike and did so later (Monday or early Tuesday) when he was getting frustrated with LE not believing SM actually took a bike ride on Mother's Day.

During the first day of trial, there were some posts that reported that around the time LE found the bike, MH (the younger daughter's boyfriend) pointed out that SM's bike helmet was in the garage when LE arrived. But, I was never clear whether that was an accurate quote. Did MH say the helmet was there when it should have gone with SM if she took a bike ride? Or, was he pointing out that the garage is where she usually keeps it?

DA Mark Hurlbert now doing redirect. Hurlbert confirms with Graham that men's khaki shorts and other clothing were found in the dryer. It matches what Barry was seen wearing May 9 on surveillance video. We're now on a break.

Intriguing. So he’s caught on surveillance video wearing certain clothes, and he gets home and washes them right away.

The house was sealed on the 1st day? Was anyone allowed in the house without an escort after SM was determined to be missing?

But aren't they proceeding chronologically?

No, in the first two days they already covered BM's trash runs which is the last event chronologically.

Except Suzanne texted a reminder to stop at the Spa Store so I don't see it as an alibi.

I agree about throwing the helmet out. The point I was trying to make was his absence of DNA when these were typical items, well, except for the dart syringes. ;)

No. Barry was there briefly with investigators, and followed all instructions.

Wasn't helmet found within 10 m of highway? So, within an arm's toss from a vehicle traveling on or parked on highway?

So, lack of match of tire casings near the helmet doesn't matter. It's enough to have the helmet turn up not far from Puma Path and where the bike was planted in the direction BM's truck turned early that morning (at variance with his supposedly intended destination and shortly before he makes multiple trash drops).
with the precautions Barry took that we know of.....it would have been quite careless of him to pull off of the asphalt pavement at 3:30am just to dispose of the helmet. he surely is wise to any tire tracks being analyzed...especially in close proximity to a planted helmet. I would think that Barry specifically chose a spot with visible tire tracks to dispose of the helmet. He wanted the helmet found.
It's a public road. Why would other vehicles not have traveled the area covering his tire tracks?
Interesting thing about weather....as Barry alluded to...there had been rain, that would likely have washed away signs of a mountain lion attack...but it wasn't enough rain to wash away tire tracks....

What?? Its a needle sheath for a tranq dart gun? Didn't they just state the tranquilizer gun wasn't working?
If it wasn't allegedly working how in the world did its cap find its way into the dryer?!
Shaking my head.....
He forgot to check his pockets before he washed and dried his blood stained clothes. IMO

Will a Deer Die if You Cut Off its Antlers / Breeding / Velvet Harvesting - Farm Animal Report

Once matured and full-sized, they harden into bone-like structures in late summer/autumn, and are shed (naturally fall off) every year in late winter. Then the cycle begins again. If the antlers are cut off at any time during their growing period, the deer will not die but it must be done with a local anesthetic to be at all humane since they are highly enervated and are very sensitive to any touch.

I was reading up on how tranquilizing a deer is a traumatic event for them. They are so freaked out before they succumb to the medicine that they can get this white muscle disease.

@LaurenScharfTV

No receipt was found for the hot tub chemicals from Salida Stove and Spa. Inside the dryer investigators also found Khaki-colored shorts that #BarryMorphew was wearing on May 9th, according to surveillance photos. BREAK NOW.
