So Barry's whiney "rumors" and "now everyone hates me" comment about the tranq dart needle sheath found in his dryer...

This was not public knowledge until 2 weeks ago so... what the heck was he talking about?
Was he actually saying the CCSO has leaked this info and that's where the rumors were coming from?
And now that we know it's true, does anyone here know if this was actually a rumor?

How did you get to that from what we know? Isn't it possible Suzanne went to the bedroom and changed out of her bathing suit? We don't have a tight enough timeline to eliminate that possibility I don't think. We don't know how she was murdered or when. We have a big chunk of potential time still that is unaccounted for.

there is always the possibility that the bathing suit was washed along with Barry's clothes and sheets. If there were a scuffle...thats reason enough to wash that too.

If Barry used the tranq dart to incapacitate Suzanne...I would fully expect him to use a chemical known to him, used before, or similiar that he was experienced and/or familiar with. He would be able to anticipate its effect and Suzanne's reaction to it much better than something not tried or tested. Thats why I think he used some known compound of animal tranquilizer.

Oh, I agree -- I was just responding to a post raising the possibility of hydrocodone being the sedating/fatal agent involved. I can more easily see BM flushing any hydro of SM's he found rather than using it as a mechanism for disabling or fatally poisoning her with it. He's always struck me as a more hands-on guy, and my bet would be on strangulation or suffocation as his method.

Yes, we've so far learned that just a month prior to Suzanne's disappearance, Barry used the very much working dart gun from his garage or breezeway to (illegally?) inhumanely tranq 2 deer to cut off their antlers.
That was April, but then by Mother's Day the dart gun was not working.
And, he has no earthly idea how the dart needle sheath ended up in the dryer vent.
It definitely wasn't him. According to him.

I don't think anyone knows the answer to that, but I've long wondered to what degree there is gossip within the LE and FF ranks. All I can say is that at the various LE agencies where I've been asked to hang out and do observation/interviews, there's way more internal "information exchange" than one would think. Misdeeds of uniformed personnel, whether LE or FF, are a big topic of conversation among the rank and file (and sometimes among non-uniformed personnel as well).

I bet news of the dart thingie spread like wildfire in those early days.

Well a lot of new details to turn around. Maybe Suzanne was snuggled up in the master bedroom by herself when Barry arrived-remember JL’s wanna strip down naked? I can see some stuff being spoken of that Judge Murphy would prefer the daughters not be widely discussed. We are all adults here. Barry may have been tracking Suzanne, and may have known many things. Maybe she heard the door open, and quickly locked the door?

Re the apparent fingernail marks, when I saw the Oh Suzanne video I thought his left eye looked swollen/dark but maybe that's just how he normally looks. JMO.

Thanks for pointing out the 2nd gas station. I didn't see it. The one you mention is on the east side of Salida, further east of DSI, so he'd have to go east on 50 to drive passed it and then head west on 50 to get home. Also, I don't think he'd drive over there when leaving to go to Broomfield. Here is Lauren tweet regarding the Shell station for reference.

At 2:32 p.m. #BarryMorphew is seen in his truck on surveillance passing the Shell Gas Station which is east of Salida Spa and Stove. The truck wasn't seen again until 5:14 a.m. heading east.

I do not think Barry had the chemistry set or ability to crush hydrocodone and distill it into a fluid to use in concentrated fashion in the darts (nor would it instantly tranquilize anyone).

If he had the darts, he once had the bottle of material that he was using (on deer). I wonder if that material is among the recovered trash, but apparently he already admitted to tossing some "tranq material" (which is why I'm guessing they had cornered him with evidence).
